History
Established in 1977.
After being employed in the insurance industry property claims area for a number of years, founder Ray Galvin knew he could create a better collision repair model. From the beginning they hired the best technicians and then gave them more training, finally achieving the status of I-Car Gold Class. This level of training as well as modern high tech equipment and quality BASF paint systems are absolutely required to perform «best in class» repairs on todays vehicles.

After Military service I joined Allstate Insurance as an auto claims adjuster. During that time I was able to become familiar with the operation of various body shops. Later I managed a number of dealership body shops and observed various shortcomings in each of them. I knew that I could do better work and achieve higher customer satisfaction ratings by utilizing only their best practices in my own business so in 1977 I established SkillCraft in Huntington Beach.
