Not a huge fan of this place. The beers were good but the service wasn’t. The food was okay. I had poke(crispy rice was not good), the fish tacos(best item we had), and the burger(not good). The pickles were dry and the burger was doused in too much ketchup. It was like eating a small piece of meat with 2 cups ketchup, yuck. The menu wasn’t amazing either– just a lot of mediocre dishes.

I’ve been to the simmzy’s in long beach so I was excited to find out there was one in Huntington Beach. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was about a 30 min wait but if you don’t mind sitting at the bar, it’s much quicker. I didn’t see the Brussels sprouts on the menu but the bartender told me they could make it. I was super happy to hear that. The 15 min wings are a great starter, sweet and spicy with some crunch. I never used to eat brussels sprouts but the way they prepare it at simmzy’s is awesome. As for the main entrees, I had the tuna wrap, wife had the burger lettuce wrap and my friend has the fish tacos! All food was great and arrived quickly! Didn’t really have room for the apple filled donut but that is a definitive must have!

The food is just fine here. I like the view and the reasonable prices. I don’t fee like there’s anything extraordinary to eat. But it’s good, average food.

Tonight was the second time we have been to Simmzy’s…and we live in Temecula! But Mom lives across the street from Pacific City so we walked over with a small group of six for dinner for Mom’s 89th birthday! Absolutely great food – everyone loved what they ordered. I had the Bacon Bleu Burger and it was cooked exactly the way I like it, the meat was very tasty and it was about as delish as a burger can get. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very large and delish. We had the Pepper Poppers for an appetizer and they had some kick to them but not too much as I only tolerate some spiciness. Everyone loved them. We also had both desserts(shared, of course!) and both were excellent. The manager, Matt, was on the floor and I had an opportunity to talk with him a bit. Very nice guy – very friendly and accommodating. It was packed when we were there but everyone seemed to be having a great time and the wait didn’t seem bad. Great service, great food. We’ll be back… with or without Mom! :)

Awesome service, great beer and wine on tap. The jalapeño poppers are life changing. They are not deep fried or battered. Just roasted and wrapped in bacon with the most amazing mango sauce!

We’ve been to Simmzy’s twice. Once at this location and once in Manhattan Beach. I think this visit made us love it even more! Definitely get the Ahi Poke to start. Yum! We ordered the Sammy on Rye {it was good.} and the Pulled Pork Panino {Delicious!!}. Definitely save room for the Apple Donut desert! It’s pretty amazing. The beer and wine selection is pretty on point!

Good news! They validate parking for the underground garage for the first 2 hours… This location is absolutely gorgeous with a view of the beach from most of the tables however the dining area is tiny so the wait was too long at peak times and on beautiful beach days. the tables are way too close to each other making it feel a bit awkward dining with the strangers next to you. Also they currently don’t have buzzers or a cell notification to alert you when your party can be seated. Because of this we had to stay close to the door to hear when your name is called. So with our 40 min wait that was a bummer. Would have been nice to walk around and look at the shops but we had to stay close to not miss our turn. The service was great, our server and the hostess were both welcoming and friendly. The review above is from our first visit to this Simmzys location below is updated info: Been back 5xs since the first experience Now I can say a few more things… Service has not been consistent. We have had a couple great servers and few not so great. We have LOVED these dishes: the poppers — get them almost every time The burgers — we always add bacon or avocado. Our fav is the blue cheese one the carnitas tacos — fav part was the salsas The chicken tortilla soup the chocolate pudding — flavor reminiscent of the DQ peanut buster parfait — just a classy version When I tried their Moscow mule it was horrible, they remade it for me and it was still a waste of time & money. I felt very disappointed and ended up just drinking my water. Overall we really like Simmzys, we have been so many times it including the Belmont shore location. It would be nice if they offered an appetizer sampler where you could pick your own combo of 2, or 3 apps. Also it would be nice for them to add one more dessert option. The pudding is nice but the apple dessert is not so good leaving only one option that Is worth eating. It is way more fun to have multiple desserts that you are just dying to have every time you go!

On a Wednesday the ambience was great, however the restaurant was not crowded and the service was not stellar. The waitress was sweet but took awhile to deliver our drinks. Towards the end of the night we asked for our check because we knew our two hour time limit of parking validation was ending. It took her twenty minutes to get our check, which cost us money at the Parking structure. Great ambience, good food, friendly staff but the service is lacking.

If I’m in this area again I will probably not go here unless it’s during the week and not on a busy Sunday. I’m fine with waiting for food, but having to cram into a small space and wait over an hour for food was not the greatest atmosphere. –Our 15 minute wings turned into 75 min wings. –Delicious wings none-the-less. –Our chorizo breakfast burrito had 4 pieces of chorizo in it. I doubt if we wouldn’t have been starving we would of walked out, but I am always willing to give a place another try.

I’ve had the pleasure of eating here twice now and I love it. If you can get a seat at the furthest spot against the glass on the patio, you are in for one of the best views you can get in HB. Beautiful. They have heaters out there that work really well, so don’t be afraid to go out there if it’s a cold day. Service is always on point. Our friends were running late and they had no problem seating us while we waiting. We ordered some drinks and an appetizer, so it’s not like we were just taking up their prime seating, but they didn’t know that when we were seated. On to the food: The popper appetizer. Legit. So good. The burger. Standard simmzy burger. So good. Best burger in town? Maybe… The Kale salad. So delicious. Really, this could have been a meal in itself right here. It probably should have been, i’d feel less guilty today. The bleu cheese haystack fries didn’t knock my socks off, but they are fries. The roasted corn app is really good. We joked about it being $ 9 and in LA you can get it off a cart for $ 1 … but hey, did I mention how good the view is? Great beer and wine selection and reasonably priced cocktails. I like you, Simmzy’s!

I’m a little addicted to Simmzy’s bleu cheese haystack fries and«15 minute» wings, but they have an awesome selection of burgers and other things as well! I’ve had 2 of their burgers(forgot the names) and they were quite good. The jalapeño poppers appetizers is also a good choice. But let me just tell you about these fries and wings! The fries are shoe string fries(thin) with onions, bleu cheese, and their sauce. It has a raw, yet savory taste to it. The wings though… It takes literally 15 minutes to make, hence the name, so just be aware of that fact when you order them. The wings were tangy, sweet, and has a hint of spicy to it. Everything ties together so well! I always have to get these 2 dishes when I’m here. The service is a hit and miss. The first few times I’ve been here we had an excellent experience while the last time I went this past weekend, our server was not attentive at all an seemed like he hated his job. Of all the times I’ve been here we always sat outside at the patio. Very nice and relaxing ambiance. One of the many reason why I love HB!

Simmzy’s is brick and mortar proof of HB’s evolving culinary scene. It wasn’t long ago(2015) that I thought of Burgers, Fish Tacos and large corporate chains when I thought of dining in Huntington Beach, California. It seems that there is a local movement floating away from the Bro drinking culture that has plagued the city for decades and I, for one, am all for it. Just imagine a day when you can sip a beer on PCH and not see a single flat brimmed baseball hat or anything DC brand related… Simmzy’s is a self-proclaimed«local pub serving artisan foods, craft beers & small production wines» with roots in LA county’s beach cities and HB is their 5th and most recent restaurant. The service is über friendly, the beer and wine list is massive and the menu is inventive enough for the adventurous yet familiar to any fan of new American cuisine. I started off with a Bootlegger’s Far Out IPA while getting comfortable with the menu and the table decided on sharing a Poke appetizer prior to the Entrée portion of the meal. Simmzy’s Tuna Poke with Crispy Rice simply but purposefully combines ultra-fresh chunks of purple hued Tuna with Cilantro and a Soy/Ginger Marinade. I detest the taste of Ginger and thankfully the recipe uses it as supporting flavor and not the main event. The freshness of the seafood is easily the loudest pronounced flavor backed by a close of Soy and light Ginger. Fresh chopped Cilantro mixes the profile up when detected. The poke comes flanked by Crispy Rice Balls that are crunchy and chewy outside and hot and loose within. Dip in the excess marinade for greatest effect. For an entrée my company implored that I try the Simmzy’s Burger as he was aware of my fondness for such things. I am very glad that he did. The Simmzy’s Burger is minimalistic, yet entirely delectable. The focal point is a large and perfectly prepared medium-rare Angus patty which is then adorned with their proprietary«Chow Chow» Onions, and a thick slice of beautifully melted Cheddar Cheese, fresh Lettuce, a slice of Tomato and a smear of Garlic Aioli. Simmzy’s does itself justice by knowing the perfect bun-to-meat ratio and although the bun is absolutely up to the task of juice control, it never gets in the way of the flavor profile. Another notable quality is the fact that the Garlic Aioli is pronounced without blowing away the flavor of the Beef, a recent concern of mine with places that rely to heavily of Aioli’s(or as we used to call it; Mayonnaise). Simply put, Simmy’s burger = All killer, no filler. Oh, the Fries… Their Fries are fantastic while hot but will cool quickly thanks to their shoestring cut. Eat them quickly and note the judicious use of Salt. They pair well with Ketchup, but even better with Mustard. They will gladly mix Potato and Sweet Potato Fries without an uncharge. Land of the free, indeed. Perhaps the best surprise with when the check came to the table. After 2 craft Beers, a Burger and Fries I was able to get out the door for under $ 40.00 with tip at a restaurant with an unbelievable ocean view and service with genuine smiles. Try doing that in Newport Beach. Simmzy’s is already an HB classic and if you are in the area I have no idea what you are waiting for.

SImmzy’s is located in the new plaza next to Main Street. I didn’t even know it existed, that’s how long it’s been since I’ve visited HB. I like this location because the outdoor patio faces the street so you can see the water on the other side. I went this past Saturday in the afternoon and although it was packed, my bf and I got seated right away. We weren’t that hungry, so we ordered drinks and an appetizer. I had the extra red ale and bf had the hibiscus margarita. The ladies sitting next to us were quite amused as they assumed the margarita was mine when the server dropped the drinks off at our table. Mmhmm, we be breaking stereotypes #progressivecouple. Haha. The reason they even noticed in the first place was due to the sheer beauty of the thing! It was tall, bright pink with frothy foam at the top. It was as delicious as it was pretty. I kept stealing sips from my bf when he wasn’t looking. My beer was great too and prices were standard. The ceviche we ordered was tasty, but a bit small imo for the price. Overall a good experience here at Simmzy’s. I will be back for the outdoor seating and drinks!

This was my first time coming into the new Huntington plaza and it was nice. This place is kid friendly and has to die for customer service. I came in at 10:54AM and little did we know they opened at 11AM, but they still sat us down because we had a baby with us. The the iron steak salad was incredible and the dressing had a unique flavor to it. The shoestring fries with garlic aioli is a MUST when you come to dine in. Overall I would highly recommend coming to this place for great food and nice people! They also validate your parking for two hours!

We came here for a friend’s birthday dinner last weekend and I had pretty high hopes as the the reviews were definitely on the high end of the spectrum. Unfortunately we had a pretty mediocre experience. The décor was cute and suited the HB area. We were seated outdoors since we had a party of 9 and thankfully had a few heat lamps near by. Nonetheless, we had a gorgeous view of the ocean. As for the food, my friend and I shared the Tuna Poke with Crispy Rice, Bacon Blue Deluxe Burger and Chicken Sandwich. The Tuna Poke was a good size considering it was an appetizer. The fish was fresh and the rice was crispy but the sauce was incredibly too salty and overpowered the mild tuna. It was borderline teriyaki like which seemed quite odd for a «poke». I ended up adding avocado for an extra $ 1.50 but I think it was a good choice since the sauce was so salty that it helped curtail it a bit. The Chicken Sandwich was average – nothing too memorable. The Burger was good – well cooked, juicy with just the right amount of blue cheese. As for the service — they must have been really short staffed because it took a long time to get our drink orders and food. Since it was a birthday dinner, we put in several drink orders throughout dinner but it took about 15 – 20 minutes from when we ordered them to actually get them. Our server said they were trying out a new bar-tending/drink ordering method with the bar that night. If that was the cause in the long delays then I’d definitely consider revising that strategy. Prices were fair but with our overall experience, it’s not a place I’d suggest coming back to.

Atmosphere: Great location with an amazing view of the beach. The entire center is new and offers plenty of interesting shops and diners. This particular location has a bar and plenty of outdoor seating with a view. Ordered Items: Tuna Wrap, elote and the mixed fries. The tuna wrap was not what I expected. It was large and filled with plenty of ingredients, but it wasn’t great. The ingredients didn’t flow well together. The next items ordered was the Corn which was served Mexican style in a large plate with 4 corn pieces stuck to a stick. It was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of mayo, cheese, butter and sauce. Very good! The fries are very unique. I highly recommend the sweat potato fries. They are better than regular and offer a rich taste to go along with the salt. Overall, this joint is located in a great location! It not as busy as the location in Belmont shore, so that’s a plus. In my opinion, it’s a bit pricy for the kind of food but overall it was good. I will definitely be back.

Mediocre food with great service, that merits a 3 from me. This restaurant is located in the new Pacific City area on PCH, right in front of the beach. The plaza itself is pretty cute and has a few stores worth checking out. Our group of 10 was lucky to find a table here quickly on a busy Friday night. The selection of food here is kind of all over the place from salads, tacos, burgers, wraps, and a sprinkle of different seafood items. Since i couldn’t eat meat, I went with the Tuna Poke with Crispy Rice dish under the appetizers. and a basket of mixed fries all to myself. The Tuna Poke w/Crispy Rice dish was awful. The tuna itself was fresh and tasty, but this entire dish was sitting in a POOL of a super salty soy sauce, ginger mixture. The description said marinade —- not soup. It was literally about a half inch of this«sauce» so all my rice balls and tuna soaked up the sodium… I only ate the top halves of the rice balls not touching the pool of soy sauce. The fries on the other hand, were amazing. Sweet potato fries and shoe string fries with two different aiolis. Each fry was crispy and well seasoned, I devoured this! The service was phenomenal even though it was a busy night. Our server was attentive, patient, and friendly, which is always appreciated when you’re visiting in a large group. On a side note: Parking is crap… but it’s not the restaurant’s fault. The parking structure for this plaza is $ 2.00 for 20 minutes. That’s right folks, if any of the places have a wait, you can look forward to expensive parking. Simmzy’s validated 2 hrs for us, which is a good amount of time. But if you’re looking to stay and hang out in the area, enjoy those parking fees!

This is my 2nd time with Cindy having my nails and pedicure done. She does a wonderful job and she is very popular with the Brazilians girls like me. Love the way she does my toes. She takes my ingrown nails out and the extra skin on my feet and toes. Love the gel on my nails. They last, she gets all the little corners, perfect! And I will keep coming back.

I’ve already been here a handful of times and I love this place. Great food and really yummy drinks! The atmosphere is calm and retro, outside seating has great ocean views. Good craft beer on tap. Food was decent. I had the grilled chicken sandwich the husband had the burger. I would have given it 4-stars but I get so turned off by french fries being a la carte. Great ocean view — probably THE best next to Fred’s. Service was great too. We live downtown and unfortunately for us the entire complex is really for the tourists that frequent the hotels down that way. It’s okay, us locals still have Main Street. May stop in again if we are so inclined to walk the extra couple of blocks.

We were in town and this was close by where we were staying. It was crazy busy when we arrived for dinner but our party of 5 was squeezed into a table on the patio without waiting. It was cramped and I felt badly for the wait staff to have to navigate through the tight spaces to take orders and bring food. However, once seated at that table it was fine for us. The night air was cold but the heaters on the patio made it comfortable. The food was good, really good, but my favorite was their Bloody Mary. YUM! I’d go back just again to have it. Wonderful flavor, unique, and the verde sauce in it was a welcomed surprise.

They have vegetarian options seafood, poultry and beef burgers. Great salads and fish tacos that are on point. The manager Matt is such a nice guy, made sure we had a drink while we waited for our table. Constantly updated us with wait time as he walked by. I love the Simmzy’s in Long Beach, but the menu at the HB one is noticeably smaller; they have no pizza’s! Everyone in my group of 4 basically had one of their burgers(about 5 to choose from). Sides range from shoestring fries, sweet potatoes fries and a mixed bag; that’s it. I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the bacon blue cheese burger. We each split it in half and took one from the other. My chicken sandwich was bland and the chicken was burnt! There was nothing special about this sandwich. The blue cheese burger was really thick and packed a lot of flavor. I thought it was good. Service was very slow, and although the waiter was nice, he never checked up on us. It took so long to get our first drink order out(20 mins), and for our food to arrive, we didn’t want to wait another 20 – 30 mins again to get our 2nd order of drinks so we just didn’t order any. I don’t think I’ll come back to this place, when the menu and service is better at the Long Beach location. Nice try though.

Tonight was the first night me and my girlfriend’s experienced the food and service at this restaurant. Once we sat down it took maybe 5 – 10 minutes to get out drink order. Once we got our drinks, it took another 20 maybe 30 minutes for the server to come get our orders. After ordering, we continued to talk and catch up. We noticed after some time has passed that our food hasn’t arrived yet. Given it was a Friday night and pretty busy but, our drinks were just about all gone and we all commented that our food wasn’t here yet, not even our appetizers. The food eventually got to us, appetizers came at the same time as our dinner. Quite unconventional for that order. Side note: our server wasn’t very informative about the menu. We asked about the chicken tortilla soup and how spicy it was. He was somewhat unclear about that. I asked about some of the beers, he didn’t know the name of the beer when he brought it to me. Our food was okay, to the point where me and my friends were about halfway through and we all commented that we wouldn’t eat here again, but maybe for drinks and move on somewhere else. We ordered the chicken tortilla soup: too spicy, the fish tacos: one had plenty of fish, the other mainly lettuce and avocado, and the chicken sandwich: the chicken part was good but too much bread, lettuce and the garlic aioli sauce, too much, overwhelming! I ended up picking apart the sandwich and eating the chicken alone. I told my friends the only good part of my meal was the sour beer I ordered. With that in mind, when I got my check, I was charged incorrectly. The price of the beer was $ 9(on the beer wall) and it was $ 10 on my check. I pointed this out to my waiter and he kindly fixed it for me. Kudos. Sorry Simmzy’s, I won’t be coming back, and neither will my three friends. Menu was quite small as well. Not much to chose from.

The location is perfect in Pacific City. Their customer service is very good. The tables are pretty close together, so I prefer to sit at the bar there. At this location I only had the brussel sprouts that is not on this menu just yet. They were as good as the LB location. It’s a smaller menu here. I also had one of their craft cocktails for the first time. La Rosa if my memory doesn’t evade me. It’s tequila infused with hibiscus. They top it with something that looks like cool whip(it’s not) that has a citrus flavor. That was the best margarita I’ve ever had. I would go back just for that alone. They have nice options for craft beer & other cocktails. I do hope they add more items to the menu that the LB location has. Specifically the shrimp cakes. Nice patio with plenty of heaters. I will definitely be back.

Cool location planted right on PCH with a great view of the water and the pier. The inside is a bit tight and cramped, but they have a bar and a great outside patio with a bit more room. I sat myself at the bar and ordered a double IPA along with a tuna wrap. The tuna wrap was tasty and fresh with lettuce wrapped around and tucked inside a tortilla. The wrap didn’t come with any chips or garnish, just the wrap on a plate. The restaurant was extremely, busy as everyone wanted to check this place out. It’s a great addition to the mall and will be interesting to try some of the fun beers they will be serving down the road.

Simmzy’s keeps me slimmzys! I dropped by this location in Pacific City(a new retail, restaurant, residential development in Huntington Beach at First &PCH, in between Beach and Main). Simmzy’s opened in Nov 2015, and is a gastropub that has other locations in Venice, Manhattan Beach, LBC, and Burbank. We shared the 15 min wings that are touted as having a sweet & hot taste($ 11.75 | ½ dozen). For my entrée, I had the ahi tuna wrap($ 10.75 | pickled grapes), while she had the salmon sandwich($ 14.25 — sorry no pic). Lastly, we shared sweet potato fries($ 4.50). First of all, the wings were very good. As advertised, it was worth the 15 min wait. They had a bit of a Thai taste to them, and the heat snuck up on you. In addition, the wings were nice & meaty: 4 Stars. On the other hand, my ahi wrap was just OK. There was more salad vs ahi, and the grapes were a little too sweet for my palate: 3 Stars. Thirdly, the salmon sandwich was really good. The portion of salmon was nice sized, wasn’t overcooked, nor buried in sauce: 4 Stars. Lastly, the sweet potato fries were cooked very well. They were nice and crispy, and a good sized portion for the price: 4 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, Simmzy’s has a great view of the beach(sorry, it was nighttime when we went). There is an open air patio, that I imagine will be packed in the spring & summer. The only downside was the heat lamps were too hot: 4 Stars. The service from our waitress, Monet was excellent. She was super nice, attentive, and let me taste a beer before I ordered: 5 Stars. Pacific City just opened in Nov 2015, and Simmzy’s was the first restaurant to open. Several other restaurants have committed like Bungalow(Santa Monica), Bear Flag Fish Co(Newport Beach), and Ola(same owners as Mahe in Seal Beach and Ola in Dana Point). Anchor tenants Equinox and H & M are already open. This is going to be the new, upscale nightlife hotspot for HB!

Wouldn’t recommend this place especially if you have young kids. Not really family friendly. The restaurant as a whole: The tables are tiny and very close together(too close, in fact you might as well eat with the people sitting next to you). The service was great. The entire restaurant is just too small of a space. They have high chairs available for use but there’s really no place to put them next to the table because of the closeness of the surrounding tables(I had to sit sideways in order to include my child and I had to move her repeatedly when he wait staff was bringing food to surrounding tables). The restaurant is tiny but the bar is large. The outside patio is nice but again pretty small. Basically this place will be impossible to get into and uncomfortable to hang out in during peak season… as an HB local, that’s a major turn off. The food: not very good. We’ve been to the location on 2nd street quite a few times and were happy to see one opening closer in hb… But my burger was way undercooked(I asked for it med, it was rare), and drenched in condiments which made it soggy… over all, it just really didn’t taste that great. My husband had the fish tacos and they were gross… Something didn’t taste right with them… Honestly, we left saying we would never go back there. A burger, two tacos and a beer each and our bill was $ 50 for lunch for mediocre food and a crowded, uncomfortable, non family friendly environment… Not worth it…

I’ve been a lover of the long beach location for years and pretty excited to have one so close to home(and a better view). My girlfriend played hooky from work one friday and decided to check out The Pacific. We were looking for alcohol and this was one of the only restaurants open yet… with that said this review is for the décor and drinks. Location is IDEAL, the whole Pacific is elevated so you have views of the beach and pier right across the street. They have seating outdoors with tables and couches or indoors with large windows to still keep the view… without the wind. Strong selection of beers on tap but also have about five(trendy) cocktails… though their margarita did come wish a salted foam and was so delicious we ended up ordering two. Place was slammed while we were there but everyone working was keeping their cool and were very friendly.

I’ve been a fan of the Long Beach location, so I was happy to see that they opened one at the new Pacific City. It is located on the bottom floor right on PCH so that some of the seats have an ocean view. Be aware that the restaurant is small. It shouldn’t matter much once all of the restaurants at PC open but as of now, it gets very crowded. The outdoor patio will be great in the summer but I don’t suggest sitting out there in the winter because the wind made us freeze. The craft beer selection is the best part about Simmzy’s. They have a mix of local and widely-known offerings. Feel free to just come in for a drink and sit at the bar! All of the food that I have tried has been delicious. The Chicken Tortilla Soup features large chunks of chicken and avocado with just a mild spice, perfect for a cold day. The Simmzy’s Burger is huge, juicy and filling. The Apple Filled Donut is a delectable finish to the meal, full of warm cinnamon apples and topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. The varied menu is a welcome addition to Huntington Beach and the service is on point, especially for such a new restaurant. It is a great choice for dining in Pacific City. Now if they would just add lunch specials like they have in LB, I’ll be even happier.

Had lunch for the first time and was blown away by the views, ambiance, service and most importantly, quality of food. Location is in the brand new Pacific City in Huntington Beach. One is treated to breathtaking views of waves crashing on the sand, the iconic HB pier, and colorful sunset. Many craft beers and cocktails choose from. The cod ceviche is delicious. I opted for the kale salad with chicken while others in my group were raving about their dishes. Opted to share An apple filled doughnut with caramel, ice cream, pistachios. OMG. Heaven, and I don’t care much for sweets. This place is amazing. Very hip, fun gastro pub. Foodies will love it. Definitely a top fav for those of us who enjoy fresh healthy food.
