Scrub A Pup

I was previously getting my dog cut through another mobile groomer who was doing a terrible job. I have a Malti-​poo and she has extremely curly hair. Her hair was not getting cut short enough and she had mats all the time. I found scrub a pup on Unilocal and gave them a try. I made an appointment and the owner was very nice and fit me in at a time in which they were very busy. Lauren arrived at the appointment on time and asked how I would like my dog cut. I told her I like to keep her hair short because she does tend to get matted. My dog liked Lauren from the get go and my dog got a great cut! I found my new groomer and I highly recommend scrub a pup.

Amazing service! I have two terriers and they are not excited about baths. The groomer was super patient and did a great job! Not only did my girls come back looking great and smelling good, they were happy and wagging their tails Thank you Laura for an awesome job!

Scrub a Pup is great!!! Meghan has groomed our toy Aussie 3 or 4 times now and we couldn’t be happier! She is very attentive, does everything we ask with a smile and Athena is always happy to see her. The grooming takes less than an hour and the convenience is great. Most importantly there is no trauma for our dog or us. :)

Lauren has done my dog Mina twice and I can’t be more pleased with her and Scrub a Puppy. Mina is older and has some quirks about strangers but Lauren was great with her. my dog hates her nails cut, it’s always been traumatic for her and Lauren managed with no problem. Sadly when Mina has come back from the pet store groomer she has stressed but with Lauren I have a happy dog and I love the convenience of not having to wrestle her into a car which is also a trail for her. I will definitely be a regular customer at Scrub a Pup.

This was the first time that my dog ever used a pet grooming service. Scrub a Pup was able to fit a general bathing package in on the same morning that I called. The groomer was super friendly and my dog felt comfortable with her and didn’t even protest the leash handover. After 45 minutes, Hammie was clean and fresh! Thank you!

I just took my dog away from one of the groomers after she had him for about 10 minutes. She thinks of me to come get him because he had bitten her while she was working with his paws. When I got him she informed me the last grooming appt I had with them which was with a different groomer required the owners help to complete. Ok, no one told me the previous first appt with this company required help. Nothing was ever said to me. I don’t know why f there is a mix up with dog notes but my dog had NEVER bit anyone in his life. I can only assume the atmosphere in the mobile truck is not conducive to my dogs health and safety. Not rushing to make any accusations however I would caution any future customers. I think they might rush so they can stay on a time schedule and my dog definitely did not benefit from that. He was communicating not trying to hurt. So glad I can have a voice on his behalf

My maltese doesn’t like other dogs and so I can’t take him to a retail groomer. We’ve been using Scrub A Pup for 4 years and Matt does a super good job.

Very disappointed is an understatement! We asked that our dog not be trimmed before Christmas and because of the cold weather, however when she came back from her grooming she was completely shaved down to nothing! It’s been three days now & she has been shivering off and on — I think she is in SHOCK and there is something wrong with her anal glands now. Just sick!

Awesome service. The arrived on time to our home in Floral Park, were super friendly and our sweet though rather rough looking little foster pup was happy as a clam when he was returned. And what a transformation. He’s gorgeous! A beautiful coat of fur and a happy waggin’ tail. Thanks for a wonderful job.

I’m so so so happy!!! I have the best groomer on the planet! My husband and I acquired a labradoodle a few months back. He was very high strung but also very week from being kept in a crate way too often. Sara took the time to create comfort with our dog, gave us a few tips and was patient with him because he could not stand the entire time of the grooming. Despite all of these set backs he came out gorgeous!!! Not only does he look great, he always so excited to see her. I feel so blessed to have a groomer that cares so much about our pups… We have 3. They look great, smell great and love the attention!!! Thank you scrub a pup

Whole body shaved. Ears cut short. Exactly what I said I didn’t want. Reason given was one paw had a mat and sensitivity. Sadly disappointed for $ 80

¹²⁄₂₀₁₅: Sarah, the owner, reached out to me to apologize for what transpired when I called. She explained that her license does not accommodate the city which we live. I’ve updated the stars to reflect her contact, but we were not able to actually use her service.
2015: We need a temporary service while our groomer is away. I inquired into service, being out of the HB city limits now (12 miles away). The response was abrupt and rude. Very unprofessional.

Loved Megan she was great!!! Called in the morning and Sarah was able to squeeze in a bath for my pup. Megan was incredible … My dog savannah is having issues with her hind legs and Megan carried her up and down my stairs. She was so kind and gentle with savannah … I can’t thank her enough!!!

Scrub a Pup is a wonderful service. My dog has allergies and was in a really bad way with his skin and fur. He had sores and swelling and I couldn’t take him to a regular groomer because he would scratch himself relentlessly while waiting to be picked up. I looked up mobile groomers online to avoid the cage time my dog would have to spend by taking him in. I found Scrub a Pup, called and immediately spoke to Sara regarding my dog and what I was looking for. She was very helpful, attentive and was able too book me for an appointment within the week.
Megan grooms my dog and has done s great job. I have my dogs allergies under control now. But I really like the customer service and convenience. It’s a bit more expensive than other groomers, but that’s to be expected and I think it’s worth it.

I am so pleased with this mobile grooming company! I called this morning and left a voicemail as a first time client, hoping they would be able to get Charlie in today. Sarah called me back right away and was very sweet and professional. She sent Megan over, who arrived right on time. Charlie can be a little skiddish with new people but Megan was so great with him! I could tell he felt comfortable with her after just a few minutes. When she brought him back after his treatment he looked and smelled amazing! I am so happy with the job she did! I’ve never seen Charlie so clean! I cannot wait to continue to use this company and get Charlie on a monthly schedule with his new friend Megan!

I first heard of this awesome groom mobile through randomly searching on the web for a grooming place when I used to have a shih-​tzu. I never knew this type of service existed and sparked my interest, so I decided to give it a try.
How it works is you call to make an appointment, then they’ll drive to your place and groom your pets (for dogs only) right on your front yard! How convenient is that? During the times I used this service, I was never disappointed at how my dog turned out. The price range for my dog was usually 65 dollars. For his first time, it costed around 70 – 75 dollars to get a fur cut for his terrible knots he provided, trimmed nails, scented shampoo, cleaned ears, brushed teeth for his terrible breath and nearly unhealthy gums, and eliminated his terrible eye boogers. It does get pricey but I love my dog and how he turned out afterwards, so can’t put price on what or who you love, right? Just like any other grooming shop, it depends on what kind of works you need or want for your dog then the price will vary from there.
Usually when I call, there’s always a woman making the appointments but a man would always come to groom my dog. So I’m guessing a family or a married couple runs this mobile service. Very friendly and very helpful when asked for suggestions. Well worth every penny spent.
