Once again Pristine Motorsports has exceeded my expectations. The service for my car was prompt and reasonably priced. Thank you Dick Thorpe – 35 YEARS here in Downtown HB – your expertise is unparalleled.

This is an old school true Porsche Enthusiast shop, I stopped in with one of my friends today that was visiting from AZ to take a look at a beautiful 993 Dick has for sale… we were just browsing actually. Dick took the time to talk to us, and we chatted about Porsches and he really knew his stuff… The man is a TRUE PORSCHE GUY, i will be either buying or taking my cars to him for service.
PS: It really sickens me that Unilocal allows fake reviews like the Ladies below that was Intoxicated & Dick rightfully kicked off their premises. its almost like some kind of extortion, come on Unilocal get your stuff right!

Dick has been working on my cars ever since I moved to Huntington Beach from Arizona. As a woman, I need someone whom I trust will be honest with me. Dick has been my «go to» auto service provider for many years. He has done everything from routine oil changes (although they are nothing routine… he checks everything) to replacing tires and other mechanical fixes. Additionally, he has repaired my vehicle after a few unfortunate accidents.
If I have a question, Dick takes the time to help educate me on the repairs. I enjoy taking my car to Dick. He and Gloria are very personable.
By taking my cars to Dick, I am confident that repairs/​replacements are done correctly, and I have great comfort in knowing that Dick is sincerely interested in making sure I am safe on the road.

I have been doing business with Pristine Motorsports since 1983… Dick has worked on all three 911’s that I have owned. He has always been THE BEST to do business with and always takes great care of my cars… would not go anyplace else!!!

Well if it happens it happens…8 days after buying my new PORSCHE from Pristine I was stopped at a red light and was rear ended at 40 mph causing $ 6,000 worth of damage. Needless to say I was devastated. I didn’t have to think about who i was taking it to for the repairs and that was Dick Thorpe at Pristine. I just picked up the car today and I can not believe it was ever in an accident. It is literally better than new. Done when promised without a flaw. All paper work and insurance handled through Pristine without any problems. I want to recommend Pristine for any body repair or painting you might need as I believe he has the finest facility around. Thanks again Pristine for making me and my car happy again.

These guys are hands-​down amazing. A true north-​star for integrity, professionalism, expertise, and quality. I had them do a pre-​purchase inspection on a car I was looking to buy and they absolutely saved me! Went so far above and beyond on my behalf I am blown away. They have earned a customer for life. My mercedes overheated on the way to the beach, this was the only place I could find open on a Sunday. Not only was the customer service pristine, but they went above and beyond to fix my car as quickly as possible. Same day affordable service! I could not be more pleased. I would trust this place with any of my families cars. THANK YOU!

I don’t normally write Unilocal reviews but felt it was warranted in this case. I just recently purchased a «Pristine» 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo from Dick & Gloria. The overall experience exceeded my expectations as I was looking for this specific car and they delivered. The Porsche had very low miles and was in immaculate condition. Not to mention, it is very important to me to support local businesses. That said, when I brought the car home, I noticed that the stereo was not working properly. I called them and they set up a meeting with Tom from Beach AutoSound to diagnose my issue. The head unit had a damaged circuit board and needed replacement. Tom had an extra unit in stock which they replaced and now I have great sound! Dick and Gloria at Pristine know how to take care of their customers. In a time when customer service appears to be a thing of the past, it is nice to know that there are great small businesses out there that understand the Golden Rule: Take care of your customers or someone else will!

I have purchased my 1988 Carrera from Richard over six years ago and his has always provided great support and service. I also have him service all my cars and would recommend him to anyone who wants it done right!
I have read Laurans review which is not a review at all. A review would be about his service, prices and quality of work done! Lauran had done of this done!
So you have an issue with a business owner not wanting you or your drunk friends to sit on his property and puke? Really? Why would any business owner want a drunk to sit on their bench on their property and possibly puke! Seems very reasonable to ask you and your drunk friends to leave his property.
I think you and your friends got off easy he should have called the police.
If you owned a business in HB and near downtown you might understand his position. He is not just trying to protect his «sidewalk» he is trying to protect the city in which he lives and where he has had a very successful business for over 20 plus years.
So if this is hard for you to understand, maybe drink less.

I am also a business owner in downtown HB and we have zero tolerance. If your friend was on his bench then you were on his property. I’ve had to clean feces and vomit in the front of my business and if I saw your group in front of my shop I would have called the cops! Have some respect for the locals or stay home!!!

I would also give «Dick» a no star rating also. We had our car worked on there a few years ago and discovered that he charged our insurance company for a new hood, but failed to put a new hood on our car.
Stay away!!!

I live in HB and walk by this place all the time. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about Porsche.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? I haven’t taken my 911 turbo here yet.
Why write a review at all? Nobody’s written anything yet and I figured this review at least rewards the good experiences I’ve had when I look at the pre-​owned Porsche’s they have on sale.
