I love Thao. I have very fine wavy hair and alot of it! She is the master at layering and cutting my hair so that if i leave it air dry or styled it never frizzes out to a helmet head! I can’t recommend her highly enough! Thanks Thao.

Just ran into One Stop on my lunch to get some extensions and Lauren helped me! She was so knowledgable, professional and not to mention beautiful! She took her time with me and found the exact color for me, and even educated me on shampoos conditioners and moisturizers! A very productive and educated lunch! Thanks Lauren

Great supplies, however I purchased some mineral make up, pressed powder, eyeshadow and two lip liners. Was happy when I got home but realized that one of the lip liners was old and kept breaking. After a couple days I decided to go and exchange it but they wouldn’t. I didn’t have a receipt, I was at least expecting an exchange. The retail girl was not friendly, furthermore she new I was upset and didn’t have anything to say. I also have to say it’s on the expensive side. Next time I will go to OC beauty supply– at least they’re sweethearts and go out of their way to accommodate.

Great beauty shop! Lauren is very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about hair products. The Pureology Hydrate large conditioner was out of stock, but she offered to check if it’s at a different location and also recommended a different kind on that line. She even gave me a gift with purchase and extra stamps on my stamp card! Thank you, Lauren!

Lauren helped me pick out a purple shampoo for my hair that I LOVE and miss Jayna rang me up at the counter. They were so helpful and really seemed like they love what they do!

Ever now and then I stop in this store to browse hair care products and make a few purchases. They have the most amazing employees and customer service that it prompted me to come and give them a rating/​review. I bought a product that I wasn’t sure of and the girl behind the counter assured me that if I didn’t like it I could return it. I didn’t like it, but of course I lost the receipt and thought I would have a problem with the return/​exchange. I was wrong. No problem at all. You have to give credit to a store that still provides A-​1 customer service. Thanks One Stop Beauty, I will always try your store first before I go anywhere else.

I was visiting in Huntington beach a couple of times and bought few products for my GF and myself.

Family owned and a great amount of first rate products plus a staff that knows all about them.
Shirley (a hidden gem), is one of the 2 hair stylist’s in the back, don’t let the fact she isn’t in a fancy salon fool you… she has won awards, is a 1^st rate color specialist, really good at cutting hair, extensions pretty much you name it she can create it. Her prices are about the same as most salons and I have never been unhappy.

Me being a guy it’s an odd feeling walking into a beauty supply store, but not here. The staff was super friendly and informative on hair products that suited my needs. My wife and I will be definetly coming here for now on!

Thao is absolutely wonderful and is incredibly skilled. The first time I went to her, I wanted to keep my hair long but it was basically unmanageable. She tamed it and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve lived on the East Coast for most of the last few years, but I always make it a point to get my hair cut by Thao when I’m in Southern California.

The store staff is very nice and very helpful — knowledgeable about the products. Love shopping here…
But the real bonus is the Salon in the back!!! Thao is amazing!
I recently had a terrible experience getting my hair colored at Splash Salon in Huntington Beach (You have been warned) and Thao worked miracles to make my hair refreshed (and the correct color) again.
I also go back and forth with bangs and she is perfect at getting the right bang cut for your face. It impossible to not walk out of the salon happy.
Prices are amazing, Her work is FANTASTIC, She’s the sweetest, It doesn’t get much better.
I have finally found my go to girl!

I work a few shops down and decided to check out this beauty supply on my break. I had very specific inquiries with facial and hair products and the young lady that helped me was SO knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. For both product needs she gave me multiple options and didn’t just try to sell the most expensive product (which I have encountered at other beauty places before). She matched price point with my specific needs and I am obsessed with the products. She also gave me a few samples of the facial brand that I bought… and I can’t wait to go back to purchase the full size now! Hands down, fantastic customer service, I can’t wait to go spend more money there, haha! (Wish I could remember the girl’s name!)

I loved it, and I go back every time I am out, and am at the nail salon next door. Today I also bought some other Big Sexy products there that I have started using.
VERY friendly girls every time I am in there.

I moved here from L.A. four years ago and floundered around trying to find someone to give me highlights that look great. I found someone at a different salon, but unbeknownst to me (as she had my back to the mirror) she was painting the bleach all the way down the hair to the already light ends! She completely fried my hair!
I walked into One Stop Beauty and spoke with Lauren (awesome girl) and she told me about the two stylists who work there. Thao and Sherie. When I saw Sherie;s card said Matrix Color Expert I made an appointment with her right then. I had never seen or met her before. The day of my appointment I was so excited to see she was a blonde also and could relate to what I needed. I was so happy because not only was she very nice, friendly and professional, she truly knew what she was doing and has really helped me restore my hair and keep the length and color looking beautiful.
Last year she started doing hair extensions — they have bonds that are like tape and not as harmful to the hair as old school extensions. I had her put them in and do a «do» for my wedding and it looked absoultely incredible. Sherie is a genious and I am so happy she is at such a convenient location and not in some over-​priced salon somewhere.
I love Sherie and all the girls here. I have been a loyal customer of Sherie’s and this store for four years and highly recommend it!

Stopped in to purchase some new shampoos which I had done research on. They had a couple of the items I wanted but limited supply; I took the last bottle of each. The sales associate was pleasant.
Prices were ridiculous. After I got home I realized their price tag was covering the Mfg Retail price… They charged $ 1+ over retail for a small bottle of shampoo. I wasn’t expecting them to be a deep discounter like you would find online, but I find it unacceptable that they are charging more than the retail price especially when the manufacturer’s online store was selling for retail with free shipping and free samples.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my hair stylist, Thao! I discovered Thao in Unilocal a year ago, while I was looking for a place to eat in Huntington Beach and came across a picture of a pretty Asian girl, who had the hairstyle I was desperately trying to replicate. I immediately called Thao and requested an appointment. Thao was very helpful on the phone and asked me a few questions about my hair so that she can do her best to give me the hairstyle I wanted. I couldn’t believe Thao accommodated me right away and didn’t fuss over my hectic schedule. She definitely won brownie points with me from the start…
I’m sooo happy that I took my chances with Thao and gave her the opportunity to prove to me how competent and honest she was with her services. Because for the first time in a long, long, time, I found a really talented and experienced stylist who knows what she’s doing and is extremely confident with her work. I’m 41 years-​old and I’ve had my share of bad haircuts and definitely, bad hair stylist. In fact when I moved to O.C. from Glendale, 6 years ago, I searched to great lengths to find a hair stylist that can deliver good results. I do admit that I’m pretty picky and hard to please when it comes to a good hair stylist. I drove to L.A., back to Glendale, Pasadena, Anaheim Hills, Westminster, Long Beach and Newport Beach in search for the right hair stylist and I was willing to pay any dollar amount for a good haircut. And low and behold, I had no idea that Thao was right in front of me all along…
Thanks to Unilocal,I found the perfect hair stylist that meets my needs and I’ll forever be devoted and faithful to Thao. I see her once every 3 months for a haircut and she always knows exactly what to do with my hair. My hair is thin, pin-​straight and long and Thao has this magic touch to blends in my layers so that it doesn’t look choppy. It’s amazing how Thao makes each layer of my hair compliment the next, so that when she’s finished cutting it, it falls nicely and the bottom isn’t too thinned out and my hair has some volume. Thao also does a great job with bangs and cuts them in the right length, so they sweep softly to one side, which definitely compliments the shape of my face.
Thao, you’re the best. I’m looking forward to the day, you’ll have your own salon. I think you’re extremely talented and your gift as a hair stylist is limitless. Keep up the great job and thank you sooo much for being a blessing to my hair.

If I could give Thao more than 5 stars, I would. But instead, I’m going to tell all my friends and family about her.
This place is located right next to GameStop, off of Beach and Adams. You’ll see a sign that says «BEAUTY SUPPLY.» Thao is located in the back of the store — you can’t miss it.
I came to Thao for a Pixie Cut. We had an appointment for 5:00pm Saturday. Her schedule opened up and so she called me at about 4 to see if I wanted to come in earlier — of course I said. I arrived right at 4:30 and Thao was finishing up with another client (whose hair looked AWESOME). Right away, I could see how personable and friendly Thao was. She was down to earth, nothing fake about her.
When it was my turn, she asked me what kind of cut I wanted. I showed her some pictures of what I was looking for. Right away, Thao gave me her honest feedback and gave me a rundown on what we’ll be doing today. The entire time, I felt very comfortable with her. I’ve had Pixie Cuts in the past, but I was still nervous about doing it again since the last time was about 4 years ago. Thao made me feel very comfortable, and even reassured me throughout the entire time about how much she thought it would look good — in a genuine way though, not the fake way other artist say it. She checked in with me throughout the entire cut to make sure it was going the way I wanted so that she could make any necessary adjustments. It took about an hour, but it felt more like 15 minutes. Thao was quick, but so careful. She is a real professional.
If you are looking for a hair dresser that has a very good (modern) fashion sense and knows what she’s doing, go see Thao. She feels like she’s my sister — real and genuine. She’s also meticulous, and gives you what you want (even if you didn’t really know what you wanted coming in).
I can’t wait to come by and see her again!

I come here to buy my gray coverage hair dye (sexy, I know!)…
This isn’t like a typical Sally Beauty, you have to get the dye from the girl working behind the counter. And whomever it is working is always friendly and knowledgable. What a concept!
They carry a grey coverage developer too which I don’t believe they carry at most other beauty supply stores … or if they do the girls working there are just too stupid to point it out.
I go out of my way to come to this store!

I have really coarse, tangled, dry and frizzy and I recently had the Brazillian Keratin Hair Treatment done by Thao. It made my hair feel silky smooth with very few tangles and i can flat iron my hair within 15min as oppose to one hour… I love it now…=) If you have hair like mine… you should give this treatment a try. =)
