Like any Broker they start off the sweetest as can be to lure you in but the moment you want to cancel and not have business with them they turn nasty and dont return your calls regarding the cancellation refund. My comment is directed towards Barbara, she is harder to get a hold of than the president! everytime I have called she is ALWAYS in a meeting and will return my call (fast forward a week) I have yet to hear from her! CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS A JOKE! Happy I’m done with them and the BS

This place is very shady. I have never heard of an insurance company charging $ 75.00 to add a new vehicle to the policy if anything most insurance companies are happy to add as many cars as possible.
This insurance company charges you for everything and the worse part is that they
don’t tell you of all the hidden fees until your charged on your debit card. The staff is very unfriendly they don’t want your business they want your money.

I have been a cutomer at number1 insurance since 2002. The team is very friendly and professional. The agents listen carefully to my request and follow up with me over the years to ensure I am benefiting from the best deals available.

I’ve been with Number 1 for several years now and I have no complaints. I’ve received excellent customer service. I needed to switch insurance companies recently and Number 1 actually helped to save me money. Whenever there was an issue, they handled it very professionally and thoroughly.

I called number 1 Insurance 6 months ago asked them for a quote to see if iI can save money by merging all my policies with one agency, they gave a quote to insure all my three cars, my home insurance, my business liability and my business worker comp they saved more than 20%. Its been a smooth experience the whole staff are well trained and they really pay attention and always prompt. i recommended another business also i believe they did the switch too.

My Experience has been nothing but the Best! I have had my car insurance with Number 1 Insurance for about 5 years now. I have had no problems switching cars, adding drivers or getting last minute insurance while waiting to buy a new car.
I have Dealt with Frank, Mike and Robert and all of them were professional and very helpful in explaining different coverages and getting me a very good price for what I was looking for. They didn’t just find the cheapest but actually looked at the coverages that best fit my needs. The Cheapest would have given be almost no coverage, they took the time to explain what the differences were and why I needed to pay a little more to get me and my family covered sufficiently!

My experiences with the owner and staff at Number 1 Insurance have been OUTSTANDING throughout the last 5 years! I monitor and evaluate their performance on all levels, Business to Customer, Business to Business, Professional, Administrative, Financial, etc and they consistantly meet and exceed my expectations!

This place is a joke! Dont sign up with them. I just learned this now after being with them for 8+ years. Why did I stay so long you ask? Because I never needed to go elsewhere because I didnt get tickets or into accidents to see how they really work til now…
I just got a new car and was thinking about renewing my policy, but still wanted to check around. I contacted Number 1 Insurance and got Barbara as my agent. Told her that my old car does not need to be covered anymore and I might renew my policy. She said that there will be a $ 75 charge if I renew for the switching of cars… I said that would be fine. She emailed me all the paperwork to be signed if I were to renew the policy… I didnt.
I instead signed up with State Farm, but upon checking my bank statements I saw a charge from Number 1 Insurance?! I contacted Barbara to fix it at which time she said she cant… its non-​refundable. How is it not refundable when I never agreed to the new policy nor did I sign ANY contract or credit card authorization… she said my car was covered when I called… they have no vin number on my car and no pictures of my car…
Needless to say, its ONLY $ 75, but I’m an unhappy customer. Will report them to my credit card for false charges and already did a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of California.
If you guys read this… STAY AWAY FROM NUMBER 1 INSURANCE!!!

The following is the respond from Number 1 insurance to a customer who complain about their service. They can’t point out what is not true. This is my personal experience. No reason for a customer to make up any story against them. Instead of listen to their customer and find out what is wrong with their service, they threat to take legal action against a unsatisfied customer. They haven’t make any effort to solve the «misconstrue» they mention in the email. They could have responded to my complain on Unilocal to show how good they serve their customers, they could also have complained to Unilocal if they think I defame their company by writing an inappropriate review and request to close my account. However, the way they face an unhappy custormer is to take legal action.
So much about their «offer good service and best customer service».
