We recently bought a home and needed carpets to be replaced quickly. We started at the big box stores and learned they could not install carpet fast enough for us to move in on schedule. A friend recommended Michael’s Carpets. We are so glad they did. Since it had been more than a decade since we had purchased carpet, staff advised us of the new textile options and made suggestions based on our budget and household (teens, dog, etc.). They worked us into their schedule to complete a same day measurement. After selecting our carpet and paying our deposit, Michael’s Carpets removed my old carpet and installed 65 sy of carpet within one week. Their pricing was fair and included pad and carpet removal and haul away. We were very happy with the selection and installation process and have been delighted with the new carpet. Michael’s was recommended to me by a co-​worker last summer. We replaced the entire upstairs of our home with carpet unexpectedly and Michael’s was the best! The pricing was fair, the selection better than we had experienced elsewhere, and the quality was excellent. They did not try to oversell or haggle — direct with no fuss! I read reviews online, and they were very good so we went there first. Never even checked other places. I don’t like to waste time shopping, so I get things done quickly. They did a great job and very friendly and no nonsense. Everyone was helpful and believe me, this was a small job! I Love to support local businesses, but mainly, I’ll support any business who really cares about what they do and how they connect with people. The installers were really nice and did a great job. Done in an hour, and looked great! I’d go there again for anything in the future.

These guys were fabulous from beginning to end! Easy to work with (we had never bought carpet before) and very friendly. Their installers were actually early (I love that, but others may not on a Saturday morning) and they were done quickly. Super easy and the best prices — I would recommend these guys for sure!

Simply perfect. I walked into the store and found the flooring I was looking for. I talked with a very friendly knowledgeable young man who gave me an estimate 30% less than one I had previously found. They were able to do the job sooner than expected. The team that they sent out was energetic, efficient and did a perfect job. I could not be happier.

Michael’s Carpets did a fast excellent job in our two bedrooms replacing our carpets. I would and have recommended them to others. Great price, not like the big box stores.

We just had carpet installed and it couldn’t have gone smoother. The price was competitive. They were able to get the carpet right away and install it when we were ready. The sales staff were very helpful. The installers were excellent. They did a perfect job in no time at all. We will definitely go back there in the future.

This place is amazing. I bought carpet over a year ago and was super pleased with the staff, the quality of service and their competitive pricing. Many compliments have been received on their craftsmanship of installation on a double flight of stairs with spindles.
And today they out did themselves. I called in a panic needing a remnant runner to use at the school where I work. They said come on over and helped me out immediately!!! Allen and Michael were super! They even interrupted their own lunch to help our school!!! I cannot say enough positive things about Michael’s Carpets. They are what I remember customer service and a local business standing for– quality, dependability and a true sense of community.

Absolutely your best choice — go with Michael’s Carpets. Not only are Michael and his sons more competitive in terms of pricing than the «big box» stores in town, they by far, provide the best customer service. I like to support local small businesses and these guys prove in every way that they are better than the big franchise competitors. Despite our coming in late to the store on a Friday, they stayed late and even came to our home after they closed to measure our floors. They were extremely honest and informed — understood what we wanted and were up front about carpeting options. I really liked that they were never pushy and never tried to steer us into more expensive materials we didn’t want or need. They let us take their only sample boards home and drop them off at the door before they opened when we couldn’t come any other time because we were both working.
They were very flexible and accommodating with installation. Although we moved all our furniture ourselves before they came in order to paint some rooms, they were ready to move furniture at no extra charge. The crew was very clean, courteous and professional. They took the time to screw some loosened boards and remove «squeaks» before they laid the new pad and carpet. All the work was professional — no damage to baseboard molding and nice tight installation to the edges; all the seams and transitions were flawless. Michael himself, inspected the work at the end of the day to make sure it was perfect. We were very satisfied. The house looks fantastic.
When the day finally arrives where we have to re-​carpet, we will definitely come back! No need to look any further — this is, hands down, THE place to get all your carpeting.

This company is great! The owner Michael came out promptly to measure for new carpet in our living room. The bid was very competitive and we scheduled the install with 10% down (so they could order the carpet in advance). The installers (Gerardo and Nelson) were right on time and did an outstanding job! Our carpet is beautiful. They even tried to repair an older carpet in another room.
I highly recommend this company to others! I will use them again!

So our new house has existing carpet that is in pristine condition… except for some bleach spots near the laundry room.
Alfredo came out to see if he could repair the carpet by replacing the spots with swatches from an extra roll that was in the house. He downplayed his abilities & said he couldn’t guarantee anything, but he did an amazing job! I told him that’s he’s a magician, because I honestly couldn’t tell where the repair was. Oh yeah, he was on time & gave me a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

We went to Michael’s Carpet based on their Unilocal ratings and our desire to use local HB businesses. The first job was carpet on a stairway and the second was engineered hardwood installation in two bedrooms.
The carpet pricing was average but the installations was good.
The hardwood was competitively bid and installation was very nice.
I would use Michael’s again.

I read through all of the reviews and thought I had to go to this place — what a waste of my time… The people inside the store were rude right off the bat. They were not friendly, welcoming or offer to help. Finally this guy named Tucker came up to me. I explained that I was looking specifically for carpet that was good for pets and pet stains. I was more specific to Pet Protect Plus. It is a specific pet stain resistant solution dyed fiber that multiple brands use. The guy was not friendly at all, he did not know his product and helpful.
There were several brands that I had to point out to him that had the fiber I was interested in and hi only response was «my rep didn’t tell me that». I finally found a couple on my own that caught my eye and I asked if he accepted a designer or trade discount and his answer was a resounding «no!». Had he been nice, knowledgeable or offered me a trade discount I would’ve went forward and scheduled a measurement right then and most likely ordered from them but after the way I was treated I would never go back and would never refer one of my clients there.
Extremely disappointing!

I drove out to the location and was helped and given tips to pick out the best carpet for our place. The guy who helped me was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient with me.
Making an appointment to have the carpet installed was quick and easy. The guys who installed the carpet were there on time, answered all questions and were very professional.
I wouldn’t buy carpet from anyone else! Highly recommended!

I recently used Michaels for my stairs, hallway, master bedroom, and master bathroom. I asked for recommendations from friends and neighbors but no one I asked were pleased with the flooring companies they used. So I used Unilocal and saw the 5 star rating. Also they are close to home.
They installed laminate in the office and broke one leg of our desk and never bothered to tell us. I discovered it when I was lying under the broken desk to setup our PC. The desk was balancing on 3 legs. They must have just dragged the desk instead of lifting it. It was impossible to repair ourselves so we purchased a new desk.
The next week they installed our carpet. I was not happy with the padding. Our previous cheap Home Depot carpet had thicker padding! I am not an expert in flooring by any means but I was never asked what type of padding I wanted. We can feel the wood. When walking on the stairs we felt staples. They did come out again after I called and hammered down the staples. I showed them the picture of the broken desk but nothing was ever done about it. And we are stuck with the thin padding.
I also wasn’t pleased with their cleanup after the job was done. But I went ahead and sweeped it up myself. Also when removing the toilet to replace some vinyl flooring a hose began to leak. They did point that out to me and I went to Home Depot to replace so glad they pointed that out.

OK, just another 5 Star rating for Michael’s Carpet, right. Wrong! Check this out. Michael’s installed our super plush carpet in March of 2013. Seam starts showing in February of 2014. Sends out technician to inspect /​repair seam. Technician says the carpet is «corn rowing» (showing excessive wear) and shouldn’t be, after installed less than a year. Michael’s helps us file a claim with Shaw carpet, and within a month, we had brand new carpet installed in our house. The dude (Michael) is nuts about customer service and was so cool to my wife when she went in to pick out the new carpet.
Stuff happens, so when things do, it’s the really good companies that stand by their product and service. Forget about Home Depot, Lowes, Empire, blah, blah, blah! Michael’s prices are very good, and again, the service is the best in the industry, IMO. Go buy your carpet and Michael’s and you’ll be able to sleep at night.
