Local Pet Market

Whatever you do avoid this place at all cost. They seriously do not care about there clients or there dogs. I have been coming here for about 6 –12 months now. I was getting everything from food, treats & toys there. I got here @ 8:01pm. I walk inside in a rush to just buy dog food because I have been out for a day now. The two girls working there say sorry I just closed. I’m like it’s seriously 8:01. And the door was open. I just need dog food. I can pay cash l, cars. Whatever I don’t care. I’m just all out of food. And they insist it’s just «to late & there is nothing they can do» actually there is. You own a store that sells DOG FOOD. I happen to need dog food like really bad. And I have my dog with me on his leash. And she just looks at us like sorry there is nothing I can do. So now I’m outside in my car trying to figure out where I can get God after 8:00. It’s 8:05 now. PLEASE FROM ONE DOG OWNER TO ANOTHER. IF THIS IS HOW SHE TREATS HER CUSTOMERS… She obviously doesn’t care. Who knows what else is going on there. Thanks for ruining an already terrible weekend.

I got an email from the store owner the following day. He was very nice and explained how this will make an excellent opportunity to teach his employees how important it is that they do everything they can to help there customers. ESPECIALLY WITH SOMETHING SO EASY AS THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN. He seemed very sincere and honest. He also gave me a $ 25 credit to my account. I have driven by the location a few times. But it’s just one of those things when you feel you were being treated differently then other people it’s hard to go back. Time will tell.

Went in for my first time today to get my pup some treats. The owners are amazingly kind people and Kasey was so helpful in showing me around the shop and explaining all of the goodies they have. All of the employees were super personable and welcoming! I will never buy my treats elsewhere! Everything about this place is amazing :)

My husband and I walked in after dinner one night looking for a way other than sedation to clean our dog’s teeth. The owner was very informative and helpful and spent time educating us on how dog food can affect teeth and breath. He sent us home with a ton of food samples to try. So far our dogs are enjoying the new food. We were very impressed with the concern and knowledge of the owner and will definitely be back!

Didn’t catch the friendly Associate’s name, but she was helpful. I found out about this place because they followed me on Instagram. I checked out their website and I didn’t make it in time to register for their workshop.
And then this morning after a visit to the vet I got horrible news of my dog having cancer. I decided I couldn’t wait til their next workshop to switch his diet. I went in and addressed my dog’s health issue and the worker was very informative. She provided me with a few samples and suggestions.

Definitely my new favorite pet store. Such kind and knowledgable employees! They have the highest quality of food, treats, and toys. Love this place, will for sure be back!

I love this place! My coworker told me all about it and I was excited to check it out. They didn’t disappoint! Iv been twice, the owner was super helpful the first time recommended some great products. And the other girls where really helpful when I went yesterday, knew how to answer all of my questions and recommendations so far have been on point. They take good care of you and your pets, my 4 month old puppy loved going and enjoyed all the attention. I will definitely be back!

Really nice people. I tried a soft cone for my dog but it didn’t work. Gave me a refund without any delay! You can tell this place is a labor of love and they really respect their customers. I will be back when I need something!

I was shopping in the area and needed some Orijen dog food for my Yorkie. Checked Unilocal and decided to give this place a try. Though I live out of the area I will be back. The girl who helped me was so awesome, nice and extremely helpful. She helped me pick up some special little treats which my picky little Teddy LOVED! This store is so cute, clean and organized. They have the best selection of healthy food and treats for your babies. I highly recommend this store, you will not be disappointed.

I’m so happy we found Local Pet Market after moving the the area not long ago! The staff is so sweet, knowledgable about the products they carry, and very helpful if you have any questions. It’s nice to find a place who cares about our dogs just as much as we do.

Was in the area after visiting Huntington Dog Beach and just happened to be in the area and wanted to check it out.
At first glance, you can tell this store cares very much about what you are feeding your furry little friend as everything the stock on their shelf is natural, healthy, organic or grain free.
The store is a little small but they are able to cram a lot into a little space and not appear that way.
If you are a new visitor, don’t hesitate to let them know and they’ll help you answer any and all of your questions. Plus, they’ll give you a free sample of foods and treats that your little furry one can try.

This place is AMAZING! I walked in with my pups, and was treated with the upmost level of what excellent customer should be like everywhere. The staff is great and they are very informative.
I walked in needing to change up on my my pups flea preventative medication; since I read how harmful comfortis is to them. I now give my girls a great supplement on a daily basis (which they love). I don’t have to spend a lot of money anymore and my pups aren’t at risk of death; amongst other illnesses.

We love Local Pet Market! The LPM crew is so nice and always willing to answer questions. They’re very knowledgeable and have patients with a new pet owner like me. They have an excellent variety of snacks, toys, food, and fun little things for my little sweetie pie! :)

We love to eat good healthy food and had researched healthy food for our new pup, we found the Local Pet Market in HB, carries the healthiest food for your fur babies. Our Vizsla has a sensitive stomach, so we were able to buy her some really great wheat free meals, the best part is anything your pet needs, just ask Dallas, he can tell you anything you need to know about raising a healthy pet. We love the fact that everything in his store our pup can eat. Ginger is one lucky puppy!

What a fantastic shop! Amazing how refreshing to find a local store that has knowledgable, friendly and truly interested staff! I’ve been in twice now and just met the owner. Great guy, passionate about his business and our pets. My low end/​high maintenance mutt has been suffering with skin allergies (we’ve tried everything!) and he is already improving after a week on their suggested diet/​supplements!

Love Love Love this place. I am always here getting treats, toys and other goodies for my dog. Local Pet Market has the most helpful and friendly staff. Every time I bring my dog in he is greeted so warmly by each person working, they love him and he loves them!
I have a husky and he lovesss his toys & Local Pet Market has the CUTEST and honestly the most durable toys! I have gotten a different stuffed animal each time and my dog loves them so much he even sleeps with them under his arm. They have great organic choices for pet food and treats. Also, check out their collars & leashes. I bought a beautiful beaded leather Kenyan collar and the beads do NOT come off its truly amazing!

This little hole in the wall is doing something right!
I was told about it through friends of mine who started coming here almost a year ago. They mentioned how they like supporting small businesses, but I continued to stick to my usual and familiar place until most recently when I decided to grab them a gift certificate/​treats here for a Christmas present.
I walked in and was immediately attended to by a girl (can’t remember her name) and I explained how I was looking for dog themed accessories such as a picture frame, magnets, etc. things of that nature and she apologized about not having any of that but tried getting creative with me to think of alternative gifts to give them. She totally went above and beyond to try and help me out.
Soon thereafter I met Dallas the owner, and he excelled connecting with his customers like me. He was engaging and helpful and I have since told others about this place.

Infection «his vet dint even tell me that «and had it for a while. Now he is eating Akana (no potato no starch) having some of my probiotics, yogurt, clean his ears with vinegar and a bit of colloidal silver. Thanks for going beyond your job and for James bag of Free treats he loves it !

This is the only place I will go for my Dutchess’ needs!
After having a minor health issue with my fur baby, a friend recommended I try this place. The vet was trying to put her on a «special» diet for the rest of her life. I was not ok with this because it included ingredients that they tell you is not ok for your pet. I only want the best for her so I wanted to explore my options. So I stopped into the store not knowing the knowledge I would gain. Dallas was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me pick out human grade dehydrated food made by the honest kitchen. I like the fact that it is made here in California, nothing from China (as it says on the box) and the fact that I am supporting a local store makes it better. They only carry USA made items. Dutchess loves it and is actually excited to eat. Don’t forget to ask about the dog «crack» when you are there.(AKA Tuckers Treats) Dutchess sits and waits for her bed time treat every night and it has to be the chicken and banana. I always take flyers and put them at the desk where I work as well as hand them out when I cringe at the «food» I see some people buying for their pets.

WOW.
I have never had met such amazing owners of a pet place until now. We have been clients since the place opened and through a little bit of a financial strain, we ran out of pet food until pay day tomorrow .I called them up just to see if they had samples, told them that we just needed enough for the morning with was about a cup and the owner himself took out a bag and said to not worry about it.
My fiancé came back so astonished and just in shock that someone would care that much.
We will be life long clients and are forever grateful for the humbling experience !
