I Threading

First time getting threaded! Very nice people. Down to earth. They did a great job. Lady massaged my eye brows with lotion after.

Great place! Arun was polite and acknowledged me as soon as I walked in the door. She was with another customer but I waited less than 5 minutes for my turn.
Honestly, I was anxious to try threading again. I haven’t had it done since I moved to HB from LV 5 years ago; don’t worry I wax ;). It had always been an uncomfortable annoying pain but Arun did a great job and I had very minimal pain or irritation.
She was fast too! I had my eyebrows ($ 9) and lip ($ 5) done and I was in her chair less than 10 mins.
I found my place! Yay!

I would give this place a 5 but there are couple things I don’t like about here. I moved to HB about 4 years ago & been coming here since then. I always make sure I go on a day that the OWNER is there. She’s the only one who has never ever cut me & knows exactly how I like my brows. The other 2 on the other hand are horrible they ALWAYS cut me when I decide to go to their chair … This place is very clean & the owner literally knows all my family because we’re there about 2 a month. I don’t know any of their names so I guess that’s another down because they never told me their name… Other than that love this place.

A little rough-​handed but very thorough. Quality beats price for me, and I can’t find one hair left behind which is why I stopped going to Vinita’s; I got tired of paying for a service and having to finish it at home without a bad attitude at the front desk. Tanu is so nice, no wait on a sunday morning and the price is reasonable.

Threading artists really have to work magic to transform my awkward, sparse, and coarse brows. I have frequented this threading salon many times before and I have always had a good experience here. It’s clean, the ladies are friendly and efficient so I never have to wait too long. I don’t bother asking for a particular artist anymore; I have found that I get slightly different (great) results each time I get my brows threaded here or anywhere thus far. I guess it’s difficult to make my brows look any crazier than they already are.
I do wish that I asked for the name of my threading artist today; I try to use natural products when possible so I typically opt out of the after-​lotions and gels. Today, I opted in for the lotion and had an amazing massage to go with my clean newly-​threaded brows.

I used to get my threading in L.A., where I lived, but after switching for a while to waxing or plucking, and then moving, I neglected it for a long time. I don’t mean weeks; I’m talking months, maybe a year — sad but true. So, I definitely NEEDED the visit today, feeling and looking way more hairy than I’m usually comfortable, personally. Life got in the way and I’d say to myself, oh, yeah, maybe next payday I’ll go find a place …
It’s always scary going to a new place for eyebrows, knowing if they mess up, it will take a long, long time to get better. Since I’d been occasionally plucking, myself, I know I left one side thinner and it’s struggling to grow back months later. *sigh*
Anyway, I was courageous and decided to try this place. No wait at all, Rina (maybe misspelled) was so very nice, professional, and also gave me a little amazingly relaxing face massage after de-​fuzzing my brows and lip and a few other strays on my face. I’m happy, my brows look great, and I will go back. No more plucking nightmares and it doesn’t break the bank.

I have been going here for years and never left upset. It’s usually pretty fast and also pretty cheap. People complain that «oh they hurt me» WELL what do you expect you are getting your hair pulled out! I have never had problems with them being rough. I recommend this place to my friends and family! Ladies there are also always very nice!

I’ve been getting my brows and lips threaded here for about two years, and I’ve always had great service and left with beautifully shaped brows and smooth upper lip. The wait time is typically zero to 5 minutes, and the threading is done quickly and painlessly. I usually go to Añu if she’s there, but all of the other ladies are good as well.

This place is a hit or miss… I always come for a walk in during my lunch breaks and there is never a wait. But also, I’ve never learned anyone’s names… they don’t introduce themselves or really greet you. You just come, put your name and the service you need, and they take you to the seat.
PROS:
*Very clean!!!
*Rarely ever a wait. The most I’ve waited was 10 minutes.
*Whenever I get my upper lip threaded at other places, it gets irritated. I’ve never had any problems here.
*$ 9 for eyebrows (average price)
CONS:
*Pretty impersonal. I wouldn’t have a problem with it but I come here pretty often and I still don’t know anyone’s names.
*Because of that, the threading I get can be inconsistent from visit to visit since I can’t request. I also always forget to ask at the end…
*If you like your brows thick, make sure you EMPHASIZE several times.
****I’ve had a time where I left with one eyebrow thinner than the other. This pissed me off for weeks, and this is because I requested her to fix this but it still came out noticeably uneven. Not okay on their part.
Honestly, I need to stop going to this place. It’s convenient but inconsistent.

I should have listened to the reviews from my fellow Unilocalers! I would definitely NOT come back. I was and am still in search of a closer threading location near me. Again, no such luck.
So let’s start with pros: Clean with courteous staff. They seemed thorough while threading my eyebrows. They did give me a nice eyebrow shape.
Cons:
*i told them to keep my shape and that I just needed a clean up. She made one eyebrow thinner than the other. Her comment was, one brow is thinner than the other…
*in my almost 10 years of threading, I have never been cut before! NEVER! I ended up with three cuts on the right brow and two on the left!
I texted my friend to let her know what happened. Her advice was to keep on going to my regular place even though it’s at least 30 – 40 minutes away from me. At least I leave with good eyebrows and no cuts.

I came to this place about 3 weeks ago and the facilities are very clean, the service provided (whole face threading) was the best I’ve ever had. The lady that attended me was a perfectionist!!! I would definitely refer my friends and return

I’m a regular & like both ladies. The price has gone up when we first started coming here ($ 7) yet for HB, it’s reasonable. They are always busy so be patient! And if you are from another city, I highly recommend you wait for your time because there are a lot of ‘regulars’ who come.

I walked in on a Tuesday at 530 pm. Nobody was in there but me. Found it on Unilocal and decided to try it out .the girl was really quick almost too quick. $ 9 for eyebrow threading

I was a little apprehensive about coming here after reading some of the reviews alleging that they were too rough or made people’s brows too thin. However, I was in a rush and didn’t want to drive back to Vinita’s where I usually get my brows done. When I got there on a Sunday afternoon there was no line, so I just walked in and asked the lady to clean up my brows. If you care about aesthetics, the place was very clean and well organized.
She did a very thorough job and even did some of my forehead as well. I’m very happy with the results. My brows are still full after the threading and they’re also very tidy. I don’t know what more I could expect even if I had paid more for the service. As for the alleged roughness, the lady who did my brows was no rougher than anyone else who has done my brows. She might’ve even been a bit gentler. I can’t vouch for the other one though.
The price is on par with most places around here. You get a stamp card and your 10^th service is free. I would definitely go back.

The best friend and I were driving around and she needed to get her eyebrows threaded, so I looked on Unilocal and found this place.
It’s located in the same plaza as Boston Market, Cherry on Top, and Stater Bros, towards the corner of Goldenwest and Warner. The shop is small, clean, and usually isn’t busy, but there’s a waiting area in the front so you can sit down and read a magazine if there is a wait. There are about three chairs and I always see the same two ladies in there. The best friend’s been going for a while and always loves the results. I’ve been trying to grow my eyebrows out, but I finally decided to try it out.
I honestly haven’t had my eyebrows threaded since I was in high school. I forgot that it sorta hurts, but hey, beauty is pain. Just gotta deal. They lady did a great job cleaning my brows up for me, but she made them a bit thinner than I would have liked, even though I asked her to keep them full looking. Cost was $ 9 for my brows, so they went up a bit from the time the best friend started going, but meh. I’d go back since it’s close and affordable.

Ok so first of all this place is very nice an clean but unfortunately my eye brows are messed up one is thicker then the other !! An I just dont like the shape she made them
Ok so im updating my review I came back because it was just bugging me so much an the lady was a total sweet heart ahe fixed them at no extra charge happy camper again lol

Based on the reviews, I gave this place a shot. Just moved to the area so a good threading place is a must! Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here.
I have been threading my eyebrows for years and I know for a fact that it does not hurt this much! She even left a couple of holes where skin should be. I honestly have done a better job myself. Time to try another place until I find the one!

I was lured here by the Unilocal reviews, and because I had made the executive decision that my normal place (Angel Threading) was too far. I’m glad this place has been so great for so many Unilocalers. But I won’t be back.
I specifically asked for just «clean up» and «keep my brows as thick as possible». What I got were thin brows with uneven patches on the bottom and a huge gap between the brows.
And a mad rash to boot! Trust me ladies, I’ve been getting threading done for a decade and have learned that if it’s an experienced technician, not too rough but still removes all the itty bitty unibrow fuzz and what not, you won’t feel cut-​up or develop a rash.
The price is normal ($ 9 excluding tip), but to dispute another Unilocal review here — there is no discount for first timers. There is, however, a punch card, if you’re willing to return.

I went in to get my eyebrows and upper lip done. The price is reasonable, but I’ve had cheaper prices. $ 9 for eyebrows and $ 5 for upper lips. There was absolutely no wait which was a plus! The lady went above and beyond what I asked for. She threaded my forehead and my lower lip and chin area. I’ve never gotten anything else threaded but my eyebrows and upper lip. Wowzee All that threading for only $ 14 dollars plus $ 2 dollars tip. I will definitely be back.
My only concern is that the tread broke twice on me and it hurt a tad.

This is my go to threading place, and in the years and years I’ve threaded, I’ve had my share of places to compare to, and so far the woman who works the first station has done a consistently great job. There are only two people here at once, which makes it nice to stay with the same person.
The only reason why I hesitated to give 5 stars is on occasion she has left red spots from re-​threading the same place too much in one sitting, but that hasn’t happened in a while. I’m glad I still gave her a chance, cause she leaves perfectly shaped and trimmed brows. It is hard for me to trust places because most of them want to over thread and leave me with chola looking brows. She does a great job in allowing me to maintain my fuller natural look.
I’ve also rarely had to wait and it’s tucked away in a quiet part of the strip mall with less traffic. Great for getting in and out fairly quickly, cause time is money!
