Flame Broiler

I love flame broiler but my boyfriend came here last night to get us food and it was not good at all. Then I wake up in the middle of the night throwing up like crazy. I am 7 months pregnant and no food has made me as sick as what I ate last night. So we came back tonight to get our money back and the owner of the place was a complete asshole. He straight up told us that if he had to give everyone their money back when they didn’t like the food he would run out of business. I understand that but when your food is making people especially a pregnant woman sick there’s a problem! Especially with all the E. coli stuff going around at other restaurants. I will no longer be a customer here! Either they have bad chicken or the cook didn’t cook the chicken all the way through and the owner doesn’t care enough to make a change so I wouldn’t suggest anyone to come back to this location!

I think they switched to a wider bowl!!! This is key to mixing up the chicken and the rice. Is Flame Broiler amazing??? No. But it’s solid, good and as expected!!! I will be back for more!!!

This one was not as good. Although it’s spacious, the parking situation is parallel to a curb and they charged me more for something that is cheaper on the Edinger location. The employees are mediocre.

The waiting time was awful. 30 minutes for my order. There were only 2 other customers including me in the store. Food was good like always. No fast food here, come here with lots of patience.

I’ve been here several times. Each time I’ve found it to be very clean, the food good, my order correct (I get mine to go) and the employees have always been very friendly. I wasn’t feeling up to making dinner, needed something fast, but wanted to bring home something healthy kids would like. As usual, this place came through on all counts. Do know that to get there, you must pull in from Beach onto Talbert, and make an immediate right as if you are going behind the coffee shop visible from the intersection. You’ll see it as soon as you turn into Talbert, just be prepared to make a quick right. I’ve always been able to park fine in the little lot there.

I am a Flame Broiler fanatic and this is my favorite location by far. They always carry sirachi sauce :). I can place orders and pick them up shorty

Too much smoke inside. Had to take it to go. Walked out with my eyes burning and I smell like smoke now! Wtf!!! Fix it now!!!

I would love to ask the owner if they allow their employees to treat their customers like crap and talk shit on them.
I came in at about 8:20pm, on November 12, the girl was rude as hell and did not want to help me, extremely rude, then turned to the cook and made a comment about my making, assuming that I didn’t speak Spanish.
To make matters worse I found two pieces of bone in my food
The place isn’t always the greatest, but I don’t think I’ve ever been this upset
You lost a customer that came here A LOT

I would give this 4 stars about 5 times out of 20

I love Flamebroiler as a healthy fast food
Half the time I’ve called in a to pick up before or after work
A few times I’ve parked in the back and you can see that the door is left open almost every time I’ve been there morning or night
3 times in the afternoon I’ve seen the cook smoking a cigarette «on break»
An the reason I’m writing this review is the bone from the chicken in my works bowl… plus the chicken was mostly fat the beef mostly dry and taste like the grill
The most flavor came from the magic sauce with 1 pump spicy for a nice kick

So this place is located across from the habit burger joint and is behind the fish grill on the street on beach. Parking is located on the back on Talbert cross street in beach blvd.
Inside the place is quaint not to big not to small seats tables of 4 and has 2 seater booths. Like a Pinkberry setting but smaller scale.
The service was ok no smiles and no looking at you which needs work. This is a new place on Unilocal so not big expectations there. Food did take a while to order which I didn’t mind cause the food came fresh.
I asked for a water cup and the water machine was broken? I mean seriously… What’s up with that? Plus it was cheaply tacked on label on the water button.
Why I rated 3 was the food was fresh to order and it was good and it was overall clean.
Another note ask for a full bowl I was looking at mine and comparing it to the others and it seems as if they are being a bit stingy… so make sure you let them know upfront

I love Frame Broiler but the last couple of times I’ve gone their machine is broken and I haven’t been able to get any points for the bowls I’ve bought :(. I really hope they care and fix it. Their food is very yummy though and the place is so clean.

They skimp out on your portions so much. The chicken is usually burnt. You have to park behind the building and usually during lunch hour you can’t even find parking back there.

If I could give no stars I would! Absolutely TERRRRRRRIIIIIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Sign on the wall that states «FAMILY PACK: 4 bowls your choice $ 24.00» if there were sizes you have to abide by or other limitations they should have stayed it on the sign. Since they didn’t I originally ordered 2 regular sized and 2 mini and they wouldn’t honor the deal because it had to be 4 regular, so I said ok then make it 4 reg. Then the price was $ 32. When I asked why she said you asked for white meat. I said ok but the sign doesn’t specify any rules other than 4 bowls your choice $ 24…now it just came down to principal, honor you sign and smile. Instead I got an angry cashier glaring at me and getting massive attitude. Maybe she just looked super angry cause she drew her eyebrows on like that?!?
Anyway, I said fine, now I want no bowls. So I left and will NEVVVVERRRR RETURN to that location! I mean what ever happened to the customer is always right?! And they would have made out with my ordinal order, I would have gotten less food with the minis, idiots!

I bought two bowls today at the store. They were both regular size bowls but both had very little rice, very little meat and very little vegetables. The flavor was still good but I feel I was shorted why the beautiful compared to the other flame broilers I’ve been to.

Solid location, clean, friendly service. It’s all about the chicken bowl or plate here. Inexpensive, healthy, tasty food — I come here a few times a month for lunch because it’s close and convenient. Other locations are often empty during lunch hours because everyone takes it to go, but this place seems to be a bit busier. Having a flat screen TV on probably helps.

Great service! Very clean restaurant. The food was fresh and tasted better than any other Flame Broiler I’ve been to.

I love love love Flame Broiler but I watched the cook take my veggies out of the steam basket, pour it into my to go container and then pat them down with his bare hands. I shudder just thinking about it. Definitely won’t be back to this location. Ever. Ew.

Great experience!
Ordered the chicken bowl w/​veggies.
Everything was hot, and fresh. Unlike the Flame Broiler in Irvine near John Wayne, the Magic/​Hot sauce are available to the public… No need to irritate the cashier for extra Magic/​Hot sauce lol.
Location is a little weird. Located BEHIND the 7/​11, and parking spaces are extremely limited. Oh well… At least the food is good.

The food was tasty and I didn’t mind waiting for the quality food I received.
I was not overly impressed with the service I received today. In my opinion, the cashier lacked people skills. It would’ve been nice to have her inform me that the meal I purchased was on special as a combo for the same price.
Going forward, I will go to the Fountain Valley location instead. I’ve gone there for years, and have always received quality customer service from very friendly staff.
