DJ Daïs is a single operator company, meaning the owner is your event day DJ & MC, as opposed to a multi operation where the boss of the company (the person with the most experience) DJs the highest paying event, while managing employees or contractors who are DJing other weddings contracted on the same event date under the same company (could be your wedding!) In a single operator DJ company, there is only one contract accepted per event date, and you are always assured that you get DJ Daïs, not a contractor or lesser experienced DJ & MC.

Daisuke’s ability to get everyone involved on the dance floor is amazing. I have had a few weddings this year and he is by far the best. He also gets to know the Bride and Groom (for weddings) ahead of time in order to prepare. The music is fun and timely. I highly recommend him.

DJ Daïs was extremely easy to work with and super professional! We loved working with him as he was on top of everything and made our wedding day a blast. Everyone loved the music that was played and I saw people on the dance floor that I never in a million years thought I would see out there dancing. He was extremely patient with me too at the end when I was trying to get everything done – and I never felt pressured. Several times music came on that made me tear up a bit, and he managed to make my music work though it’s pretty eclectic and all over the place!
I would highly recommend him to any bride as he was extremely affordable, and professional and low stress! He was so on top of everything that I didn’t have to worry at all about the music :).

Daisuke was by far one of the highlights of our wedding. Leading up to the event, Daisuke was always extremely responsive and very polite. I had a bunch of questions for him, but it never seemed to phase or bother him. He was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ — organized, not cheesy, and someone who understands music.
Even when we were running behind schedule (due to transportation arriving late), Daisuke calmly came over and informed us about the timing and asked if it was okay if we sped things up. His professionalism and calm demeanor made it so that none of our guests knew we were running behind schedule, and no one reported feeling that our reception was rushed.
In terms of his musicality, my dad, who teaches graduate music students, was thoroughly impressed. Daisuke has an incredible way of making transitions between songs seamless, you don’t feel like you’re being jerked around between songs and genres, even though he is incorporating a lot of styles!
Daisuke also did the lighting for our reception facility and WOW! It was stunning! The walls were naturally a light gold, but we wanted a blue and silver theme. We asked Daisuke to use blue uplighting to cancel out the light gold walls and he did a phenomenal job setting it up.
I would recommend Daisuke to anyone, and already have passed his name along to quite a few of our friends. You will not regret booking him, he’ll make sure you’re taken care of and feel calm and relaxed all night!

Dj Daïs is such a talented dj. My fiancé and I hired him to dj our wedding this past weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Our special day would not have been the same without him. We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that has a lot to do with Dj Daïs. He is such a nice person, very professional, and followed through with any music request. The day before our wedding, we decided our first dance song was too long and he cut some parts out but we couldn’t even tell that it was shortened. That takes a lot of talent and skill! We definitely would recommend Dj Daïs for any event!

We just returned from our honeymoon (so I’m little late in getting reviews posted for my vendors), however DJ Daïs did an amazing job DJing our cocktail hour and reception on June 14, 2014 at Bommer Canyon, Irvine, CA! We received a lot of compliments on our music selection during the cocktail hour (which we chose a mix of country and classic rock), as well as dinner (which was country & love songs) followed by dancing (all pop music!)… DJ Daïs made sure he played all of the songs we requested and ensure the wedding moved along with our timeline (and in conjunction with our coordinator since we were running a bit behind due to our dinner running long). I would absolutely recommend him for not only weddings but any other event/​party you might need a DJ for!

DJ Daïs did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. He had me hooked initially by posting pricing estimates on his website — I like the upfront pricing; other DJ firms required me to make multiple contacts before they would give me a quote — they were also always trying to up-​sell me. Daïs was straight forward and easy to book.
I was thrilled with the level of professionalism he brought to the wedding. When we showed up he was all setup and ready to go; he has top notch gear and brought plenty of power to the setup. He had lapel mics for the ceremony which were great — I was recently at a wedding where the mic stand kept getting in the way.
During the ceremony Daïs was mixing live — not just running a playlist. He did a great job beat matching and scratching; he was very attentive to the crowd but got through all of our «must play» list.
Overall — Daïs has the equipment, skills and most of all a business mindset to make your event a success. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I got married about a year ago, and DJ Daïs was my DJ. I could write a very exhaustive review about him and go on and on, but I’ll cut to what generally matters most to people looking for a venue/​wedding dj:
1) Great value — excellent menu of «add-​ons» as needed and he works with you
2) Responsive to phone calls/​emails
3) LISTENS really REALLY listens to the people that matters most — THE BRIDE AND GROOM.
4) Professional MC — everyone could hear/​understand what was going on.
And did I mention that he TOTALLY played ALL the songs I wanted? I mean, seriously. AND, in the order I generally wanted them. (Me, being the bride. :D)
So if you’re looking for value, someone who’s considerate of his clients and works well with your wedding coordinator/​planner/​venue — I HIGHLY recommend DJ Daïs.

This review is long overdue, as DJ Daïs provided DJ and lighting services for our wedding in San Clemente last year. He was very professional and informative during the whole planning process, always responding promptly to emails and making sure my questions or changes in plans were addressed. He even offered us a discount because I’m a teacher, which was well appreciated!
His DJ’ing and lighting services were affordable and turned out great. The guests loved the music and overall ambiance of our wedding. We told Daïs he could provide additional music beyond the songs on our list, depending on the guests’ mood. He definitely got everyone up and on the dance floor! I love working with DJ Daïs. Having thoroughly appreciated his professionalism and appropriateness at the corporate event that I had planned in 2011, I decided to use him for my wedding this January.
He was just as professional as he’d been the first time. He arrived super-​early for setup on the day of the event, was easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the event and was very organized.
I sent him the most disparate list of music (including 90s hip hop and R&B, disco, and ballroom dancing), and he managed to play all of it without sounding jumbled and confused — great transition choices! He also added to the mix based on our requests. I received numerous compliments on the music and lighting from our guests. Truly excellent and exactly what we wanted.
There was one hiccup in the night, which was an error on the slideshow. He was so apologetic and offered repeatedly to refund the amount for that service.
I’d recommend DJ Daïs in a heartbeat.

I had the privilege to work with Daïs at my wedding a weeks back. Daïs is a consummate professional who listened and executed all of our requests. Not only did he handle the ceremony and reception music, he also provided us with all of our reception lighting, including BoGO, and everything turned out amazing. Daïs also had a great eye during our reception and played songs that kept the party going. He even stayed and played a little longer than initially agreed as he knew that the party was still going.
I would highly recommend Daisuke for any special event. He is conscientious, communicates well and quickly, and truly has the experience to execute flawlessly.

My husband and I just got married in the Temecula area and had DJ Daïs as our DJ. First off, we had spent weeks trying to find a DJ with not only positive feedback, but a decent price! I was shocked when I found all DJ Daïs’ reviews on WeddingWire and even more so when he put together a proposal for us. We got everything we wanted and such an amazing rate, weeellll under the outrageous $ 2,000+ DJ’s you find in San Diego. Lights, Video Screens, Amazing Speakers, and PHENOMENAL MUSIC.
From the very beginning, DJ Daïs was really easy to work with, and never had to worry about him organizing all the details of our music. He is super organized — he ensures that all bridal party names are pronounced correctly and that your must-​play list is absolutely played! He really knows how to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing.
I was shocked at the number of family and friends, young and old were all partying on the dance floor. I’ve been to a few weddings, but seeing all of them dance and have a great time at mine, was by far the most amazing part of the night.
I can speak for my husband and I, and say that DJ Daïs is HIGHLY recommended and extremely talented! A true professional who genuinely cares about the ambiance and production of the biggest day of your life.

DJ Daïs and I met through the BNI Liaisons Chapter in Anaheim, CA this past year and I was honored to have him as a client for an event that he co-​hosted called The Wedding Edge, an evening for brides in Laguna Beach.
This past month, my company had retained a client to host Escalate Live 2010, a two-​day live broadcast conference in Newport Beach at the historic Lido Theater for photographers. When we went to source a sound technician and production support professional for lighting and A/​V needs, I immediately referred Daïs as part of our production team.
This event was no small feat, resulting in 36,000 views online with lots of positive buzz. His involvement helped make this production endeavor seamless and cost-​effective. I was grateful that he was available for such a role despite it not being a standard offering of his services.
