Discovery of Learning is a multi-​age learning center with a child-​directed, experience-​based, hands-​on approach. We have classes to fit all ages, from preschool to junior high — all while providing rigorous academic study and a community of friends with whom to learn. You won’t find any other homeschool program like it!

History

Established in 2012.

Discovery of Learning was founded by Amy McCamly and her husband, Ty, after a search for alternative education programs left them wanting something more for their two daughters. Amy’s vision of a homeschooling community built on a passion for children and strong belief in letting them learn at their own pace has come alive in Discovery of Learning. The program has grown from 1 small classroom of 8 children to a full Elementary and Junior High homeschooling program with two locations serving families throughout Orange County.

Business Owner

My name is Amy and I have always loved working with children. Since receiving my degree in Early Childhood Education, I have spent over 20 years working with children through teaching preschool, directing, owning a preschool, teaching Mommy & Me classes, and homeschooling.

Through Discovery of Learning, I wanted to help build a community for our family and others like it. I am beyond passionate for children, and I was blessed at a young age to always know what I wanted to do when I grew up. Nothing other than working with children ever crossed my mind. Though I have made changes over the years, fine-​tuning my vision, at the end of the day I always knew I wanted to offer the best for children & their families.

Eventually, it will be our children running our country. Take a moment to think about what you want it to look like, and then join me and the Discovery of Learning community in building a strong educational foundation for our children… and our future!
