DDM Tuning

I came here on a Friday afternoon because I didn’t like how the colors of my hid lights turned out. I got the 6500k and they looked bluish green rather than a bluish white (which was what I wanted). Pablo helped me out and was so patient with me. He even took out my lights and replaced them with the new ones (5500k) with no questions asked.

DDM Tuning has always been good to me. I currently have their 55w Hi lo beam combo HID lights in my truck and man are they bright. They were very easy to install and overall I am happy with them. My only complaint is I wish the beam patterns were even. I noticed that my left headlight is slightly brighter than my right. This could be from a ballast not being as strong or the bulb. With that being said, I would recommend DDM to anyone that is looking for some new headlights.

Terrible customer service, bulbs took too long to arrive since, surprise, they’re shipped from China. Bulb colors were all messed up.

Replaced OEM fog lights and daytime running lights to LEDs from DDM Tuning on my 2015 Infiniti Q60S! What an enhancement both in function and appearance! The prices are incredible considering the high quality product. It stated with a friendly female voice that seemed eager to help and coupled with Carlos, «The Guru of all things LED/​HID!»

Never shopping here again. I bought HID lowbeams from DDM and had them shipped to Florida where I live. It’s been less than 6 months (purchased 7÷17÷2015) and the ballast was bad. I called them expecting them to send me a new one (charging my card as a HOLD) and have me return the old one but nope. I have to pay out of pocket to get it back to them and then they have to «test» my equipment to make sure that it is defective before sending me a new one. I was told via email this process is going to take 3 – 4 weeks and at the same time it’s going to cost me $ 15 to ship it snail mail… Going to a local shop that won’t screw me over like this.

I read their reviews on Facebook and one guy recommended calling in instead of ordering online. Apparently if you order online the parts come from China, if you call the order in, the parts will come from the local headquarters. I’m not sure if there’s any truth to that, but I called anyway.
Josh helped me out over the phone and I got exactly what I wanted at a great price. However, I didn’t get my confirmation email so I called again the next day. Carlos helped me out and discovered that my email was entered incorrectly. He got me squared away and I was able to get my email confirmation and tracking info.
The kit arrived in 3 days. Parts looked great. There was no paperwork or instructions inside, but I’m experienced with installing these types of kits. This might be difficult for the first timer to have no install instructions. The lights were exactly what I expected, nice and bright 5000k pure white. At first I thought the bulbs didn’t match, but I just waited a little longer for them to warm up and they looked fine. I’m happy with my kit and I hope it lasts a long time. Thank you DDM.

Purchased a 55w hid kit less than six months ago and started having problems with the left side shutting off while driving. Went in and they «tested» the bulb and ballast and said It must be a bad connection elsewhere in the vehicle. I then asked for a new ballast and bulb out my own pocket (lifetime warranty?) he then tried to offer me a used ballast out of a pile in a box. Again asked for what I wanted and was met with a «Are you sure?». Finally got out with a replacement and low and behold not one shutdown on my way home. Now I am out an additional $ 25 for what should have been replaced under warranty. What when the right side goes I will be paying for that one as well? At that point I will have invested the same amount as if I bought the more expensive model and still be left with their base 55w kit.

It dosen’t get any better!!! Affordable good quality HID’s. I have bought 5 sets over the last 4 years from them for all of my vehicles. I finally had a chance to visit one of their stores and customer service was great they have a lot in stock. Buy these over some cheap ebay ones you will be satisfied they also have a nice warranty.

Excellent service! I had a question a few questions about the hid kit and they answered kindly and thoroughly. I also bought some fog lights since they are having a 20% off sale now. I would come here again if it wasn’t so far from where I live, but it’s a great place to get good quality lights for your car. Highly Recommended!

Great product and the employees have been really knowledgable. I’ve put their headlights on my motorcycle and car.

Can you say Affordable HID Lights!
I was referred to DDM Tuning by a friend. He swore up and down that their HID kits are affordable and super bright. The other day I went to DDM store located in Huntington Beach and I really wasn’t impressed with there layout. It was just bare bones with a few display items and a counter. This place looked like it just opened. It was pretty ghetto looking. I guess they don’t care how there place looks.
I asked for an HID kit for my Truck. I purchased the bright white 55w 9006 HID Kit for my 2500hd. I checked out the light and its all plug and play which should be pretty simple. I think the kit all together was about $ 35 which is insanely cheap for HID’s.
The next day I was planing on installing the HID’s but when i opened the boxes I noticed there are no instructions or anything. Just the harness. I mean its pretty basic design and really can only go one way, i get it no instruction needed really. I hook up my new HID lights and turn the key on and they lights don’t come on. I was scratching my head thinking hmm that’s weird. So I take out the HID’s and install my stock light back and turn on the key and still nothing. Turned out those HID’s blew out my headlight relay. Let just say i was not in the best mood when i found this out. I jumped on DDM website and went to Support and I found a posting that someone else had the same issue. Apparently GM Trucks have reverse polarity which cause my short. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time with a little instruction card or something. I was reluctant to reverse the plug because I am not sure if that is even true and I didn’t to blow out more relays or fuses. I took a gamble the other day and reversed the plug and what do you know the lights started working.
Overall I am happy with the final product but as far as packaging and lack of instructions I find that rather annoying. If you do buy these kits make sure you ask the salesmen if there are any weird things you should know able before hooking up your kit.

Would first off like to say these people are amazing the service is great and they are very patient. They live up to their lifetime warranty and never let you down. The product is amazing and they have great prices. But I really came on here to say thank you to Daniel he is a good worker and made sure to help me out! Thank you guys keep up the good work.

I picked hids for my miata and worked fine so when my girlfriend wanted to upgrade her lights on her subaru I decided to order them through the ddm website. it seems like they ship them straight from china because of the packaging. when we installed them they didnt fit and was loose but thank God my friend had a bunch of different sized o-​rings to fill the gap because one small pot hole and those kids would have called out of the socket.
Less than a year later one of her hids bulbs turned from 6k to yellow and since I it was under one year I made a complaint asking for a replacement. I called them at least four times and they kept telling me they would call me back and they don’t. I had to hound them. They wouldn’t replace the item but asked me to send in my bulb and expected my girlfriend to drive with one bulb and risk her life and risk fixing tickets because they wouldn’t send a replacement bulb. I offered to give them my credit card number and told them to charge me in full if it wasn’t a defect on their end but wouldn’t budge. So what ended up happening was that I had to buy a bulb pay for shipping and pay to ship the defective bulb.
Since these guys specialize in nothing but lighting you would think they would tell you that when changing his you should change out both at the same time. Not these guys! after getting the replacement bulb it confirmed that I did have a defective bulb and not only that the colors on the bulb no longer match! Over time hid bulbs will change colors.
Thanks guys for wasting my time and continuing to give yourselves poor Unilocal reviews from you crappy customer service. AVOID THEM and their CHEAP CHINA HIDS!

The worst!
«Life time guarantee» makes you jump through hoops just to get a $ 30 part replaced.
Just over a year after the original purchase date, the cheap product broke.
I ended up repurchasing because it was such a hassle. It’s about the principle, people!

Doesnt even deserve a one star. Sorry guys save your money and go somewhere else. They dont pay for the shipping to replace your things? thats their fault? Yeah okay. This business will fall quickly with more and more reviews like mine. Kits are made from cheap CHINA and the customer service is terrible and i had such a long wait on my order being fufilled, Estimated 3weeks — almost a month. Wasted 100 $ on this garbo. Really dont listen to the other good reviews because its super misleading. Follow my advice and you will save your save time, money, and headache. And i guess the saying is true apparently here. You GET what you PAY FOR. In this case i paid for china crap
55w kit, one side is significantly dimmer, must be a bad bulb or ballast? Smelt burning so i turned off the low beams and going to take them out for good. Crap.
35w kit on fogs, worked for 10mins worth of use and then one side burnt out.
Heard really loud buzzing sound upon turning on fogs and or low beams. They flicker terribly.
TL;DR summary: Cheap, waste of money, they steal your money basically with all this hassle. Go somewhere else. Trust me

It was my first time here at the store. This store locates between Springdale and Warner, same plaza with Subway and 7-​Eleven. I had a minor issue with the direction, per say; I was following my Navigation, which led me to the location in which was DDM’s old business location (across from Boeing).
Once I am inside the store, I noticed DDM Tuning offers variety of lightings, electronic sources. Although they have the back-​up LEDs for my vehicle, but I do agree with other (s) that the service was slow, and I want to add that they appeared to inattentive, service was average in my opinion. I have experienced better.
I would recommend this shop to others if they are in dire need of the particular type of lightings, and until DDM Tuning had rectified their service, then I will bump to 5 stars.

Nice presentation of the products I was interested in, but I would like to read up on what I’m about to buy. The LED lights that I did buy did meet my needs. I used them for dome lights in my camper shell. Perfect.
