Corky Carroll’s Surf School

My daughter took the week surf camp and loved it! The surf instructors do an amazing job with the students to train and overcome fears. They are standing on the boards with enthusiasm. The kids grasp a great deal of knowledge from their surfing instructors while having fun!

My son (6 years old) was in beach adventure last summer, and LOVED IT!!! I am a over protective mommy and was a little hesitant in leaving him at the beach without my husband or I there. After day 1 I had NO CONCERNS. The staff was very welcoming and on top of it. They made sure to check him in and account for the kids through out the day & answer all my questions. The staff makes sure they have sunscreen on better than I do. Lol! They also make it so much fun for the kiddos! Jayden raved about it day 1 and wanted to stay longer. He was there from 9 – 12 the first day and that just wasn’t long enough for him. With just one week of him at beach adventure I noticed how comfortable he became in the ocean. And that is so reassuring for a parent.
I have already enrolled Jayden (7 years old) in surf school at the end of July and he cannot wait to go! He has already asked if he can go more than one week so I am sure we will sign him up in August as well.
I have complete trust in all the staff at Corky Caroll’s! We love the program and look forward to watching our guy become a little beach grom!!! Thank you Corky Caroll’s for offering such an amazing program for kids to learn & love the beach!!!

I am blown away at the experience my four year old son is having at Corky Carroll’s Beach Adventure. My son loves swimming in the pool. We are at the pool almost every single day. This summer we wanted to get him more ocean experience. We have completed one week of beach adventure and are looking forward to our second week.
Right off the bat I noticed that the online registration was very easy for CCBA. The prices were fair and the staff was great about communicating via email about any payments due and what we needed to bring, pack, etc.
Before our first day we were given a link to a video that helped us understand how to park, check-​in and pick up. This video and the accompanying info were very helpful for first time parents.
FIRST DAY: Parking was simple. Checking was a breeze and the staff made my son and my wife feel at ease. Greyson (our son) was already having fun with Hunter and Megan (two of the instructors) and I felt right at home with Kelsey and her husband having casual conversation about the day and answering any questions we had. We listened to the rules and watched as Greyson was helped with putting on a provided wetsuit. I noticed that CCBA had high quality equipment and supplies and the kids were all taken care of. Greyson was off in the water in minutes and having a blast with his friends and instructors. We picked up Greyson at noon and he begged to stay later. CCBA offers a 9 – 12 12 – 3 and 9 – 3 program. Greyson wouldn’t stop talking about how much fun he had and how nice and helpful the instructors were.
SECOND DAY: I woke up to my son dressed in his rash guard, boardshorts, and hat. He had packed his bag and was asking me to help put sunscreen on. My son doesn’t rush to do anything, but he was rushing this particular morning. Grey kept talking about how bad he wanted to get to «beach adventure camp» and how excited he was to see his instructor friends and get back in the water.
The rest of the week looked the same. Greyson was full of stories about what he learned, different rules to follow at the beach, and how much fun he was having.
As a parent, I can’t wait to get him back out there next week. Needless to say, Greyson is going 9 – 3 next week, because he wants the full experience every single day. It’s really awesome to have your kid «chomping at the bit» to get back to something day after day.
Thankful for fun and safe program that allows my kid to gain important knowledge and experiences in the ocean and at the beach.
We love CCBA and we are looking forward to Surf School down the road.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review here since last summer.
This was the best week for our little 4 year old (now 5)! She played at the beach with kids her age all day, ate lunch (that I packed her) under the big tent and learned all about sea creatures and shells they would find from the experienced coaches/​teachers who are so great with kids!
They are very on top of it when it comes to security. They have a clip board constantly checking to make sure they have everyone on the list. It’s at a beach far away from the pier that has virtually no other people at it so it’s the just the campers.
I highly recommend this camp! THANK YOU CARROL FAMILY!

My five-​year-​old just spent a week at beach adventure camp and had a blast. She loved making sandcastles, playing in the water, and going on adventure walks.
The main instructor for her group, Hunter, was outstanding. He made sure the kids were safe and had fun all week. He also did a great job of making sure that the kids out on sunscreen, better than I do myself!
I would highly recommend beach adventure camp for kids who are five or six and not quite ready for surf camp!
