Established in 2013.

I have been in the landscape business for over 20 years.

I started Colorworks 3 years ago here in California. Prior to that I had a company in Arizona for several years.

I wanted to develop a company where I knew my expertise would be useful as well as educate customers with their design, especially with the current weather conditions.

I am very blessed and fortunate that with my learnings over the years I am able to help our customers create their own paradise in the most intimate setting, their home.

We just had our backyard redone by the Colorworks crew, and we couldn’t be more pleased. The whole experience was great, from the original meeting with Jon and Ron, the owners, to the incredible masonry work and, finally, the landscaping crew. Jon had a vision for our backyard ad Ron drew up a beautiful plan. The crew of workers, led by «Kentucky John», was highly skilled and professional. Beyond that, they were all super polite and friendly. Home renovation is usually a nightmare, but with this crew, it was a dream! On the last day of work, they even cleaned our windows and left everything totally spotless. I highly recommend Colorworks to everyone.

Updated 11÷24÷15 — I am updating my review based on the great conversation I had with Jon this morning regarding the review I posted yesterday. I am giving 5 stars because of Jon’s professionalism in reaching out to me and explaining the situation. It’s was a break in communication which led to the confusion and frustration. Jon agreed that I should have received an estimate and it should have been communicated to me that based on the size of my job, Colorworks would not be able to take it on but that they could refer me to someone else. At the end of the day, we both agreed that clear communication ensures great customer service.

We received about 6 – 7 quotes and Jon came in with a very competitive price, answered all of our questions, and he designed the yard by listening to what we wanted. The crew was here everyday on-​time and completed the project on-​time. Our yard was overgrown and truly a mess. They put in a beautiful drought tolerant yard with decomposed granite (dg), drip system, turf, and accent lights. Even when we had last minute changes they jumped in and still completed the project on-​time. Great crew and they all worked hard. I will definitely call on them again and would recommend them to anyone.

It was wonderful working with all the team members at Colorworks — starting with Ron (who did the design), Bimia (who handled all the admin stuff), Jon (the owner who is super hands-​on) and the crew that all made it happen. They turned our nightmare of a front yard into a beautiful dream yard. Our neighbors come by to compliment the work all the time.
We ran into some issues with some drip lines not working properly and a leaky valve, but Jon was always available and willing to come by to make sure everything was ok. That’s A+ service and the most important thing to us. He’s easy to communicate with and a super nice guy.
We did our homework and got bids from 5 different companies. So glad we chose these guys! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Colorworks Landscaping to any of our friends and family. Great work and thanks for everything!

Yesterday Jon and his crew put synthetic grass and a beautiful planter in my backyard. It is picture 20 out of 20 on this site. I can’t tell you how incredibly happy I am with the whole process. Their prices were very reasonable, they were punctual, and they did excellent work. I have always loved palm trees, so he put a pigmy palm in the planter and also some succulents. All work was completed in one day. They were willing to stay until everything was done just right. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to use them for my landscaping!

Jon (the owner) and his crew just finished removing my lawn and installing a very nice drought resistant landscape. I chose 3/​8″ Pea Gravel and Fountain Grass with borders. Jon kept in communication with me throughout and texted me from the material yard with pictures of the material to make sure it was what I wanted. This was very helpful and I was able to see the gravel color and change my plant selection because he let me know the Deer Grass I originally chose weren’t very healthy that day leading to a better choice.
Jon and his crew were friendly, clean cut and fast and took great care of my existing walls and patio’s. They left my yard neat, clean and looking great. Their trucks and equipment were modern, clean and organized. Jon really has a passion for his business and it shows, he loves what he does and that makes a huge difference.
I had a number of contractors look at my yard and Jon’s price was by far the best. The other contractors that bid let me know that a job of my size wasn’t very exciting to them (about 700sq ft) but Jon treated it as important as a any project he had. Cool guy.
I highly recommend Colorworks, great experience.

We just had Colorworks Landscape create a drought tolerant design for our front yard. It looks amazing!
On our first meeting, Jon showed me different type of plants and design that would work for our yard. Since I really didn’t know a lot about plants I let Jon use his creativity on the design and plant selection. Jon provided several design options and we selected the desert plan with a river rock bed.
Jon and his team arrived early in the morning to start the project. The team he brought to do the job was hard working and very courteous. Besides supervising his team, Jon was also out there shoveling dirt and rocks’ making sure everything was perfect the entire time. He was great, too. The project was completed in one day.
I had several quotes for what I wanted done, and Colorworks was the most professional, by far. Jon showed up when he said he would, he returns calls promptly, he has initiative and creative styles that compliment your needs.
We are very pleased with our new front yard design and have been receiving daily compliments from our neighbors. I would highly recommend Colorworks Landscape for your project.

I highly, highly recommend Colorworks Landscape for your landscape needs. I converted my front lawn to a drought tolerant garden and I am so happy with the results. Ron, Jon, and «Kentucky» worked with me using their expertise to guide me in choices of plants and hardscape so I got a garden that will be bird, butterfly, and bee friendly. It looks great! They were very easy to work with and helped me stay within my budget. Their whole team was fast, efficient and cleaned up everything once finished. Hire them for any of your landscaping needs– Colorworks is awesome!

My husband and I just bought a new house and we also have two 100+ lb pitbulls. The sod the previous owners had put in barely lasted a few months on the property. The dogs would track all the dirt into the house, so we decided on installing synthetic grass.
After tons of research, several estimates, and reviewing samples from several suppliers, we went with Colorworks Landscape. Jon and his team did an amazing job. They have years of extensive experience in the business and know all the issues and concerns. The guys went above and beyond, checking every little detail, making sure everything was in place, double checking the sprinklers (capped and non-​capped), every nail was in place, and grass was perfect.
It’s rare for the owner to be so hands on, but Jon stopped by at the beginning of the day and end of the day to make sure his team was performing everything correctly.
Everyone was very personable, answered every question I had, addressed all my concerns, and provided great suggestions on drought tolerant landscape.
I would use them again for all my landscaping needs and would highly recommend Colorworks Landscape to anyone.

We had synthetic grass installed last week and Jon and his crew came out and did an amazing job on our yard. I would highly recommend Colorworks to any of my friends and family. Seriously they are amazing and probably one of the few contractors who you can trust to do the job right and not take short cuts. Very professional. BTW, I never write reviews, but felt they deserved it.
