Coastherapy

Kathy and the team are at the top of their game! Went hiking got injured real bad and rushed to the nearest Cedar Sinai. They said I would need physical therapy after but it was far from home. Searched around OC and decided to give coastherapy a try. This place had it all! The staff was very professional and Im back to doing what I love! ⁵⁄₅

I started coming here in December 2014 for a ACL replacement surgery. The telephone staff are friendly and the receptionist as well. It is a high volume treatment facility. Two physical therapist with usually three p/​t aides, and 15 – 20 patients (Mon/​Wed/​Fri) (Tuesday and Thursday the therapist split the day, one in AM and one in PM). Two or three of the aids have great knowledge the others are still in the training phase. Make sure you get an experienced person to work on you and if a trainee is working on you then an experienced person hopefully at the next table to observe the trainee. I witnessed the trainees not getting proper training which results in poor care to the patients. I mentioned it to one of their long time P/T’s and he started going over treatment procedures with a few of the new trainees.
This facility is VANS based so it is accommodating to the athletes and their needs. The long time owner Kathy can be seen on the floor and actually worked with me one day and often stops to talk with me to see how my treatment is going.
I had an issue with one of their physical therapist that was a new PHD. In my opinion she pushed my treatment too fast and continued to state to her peers she was amazed at my recovery. Now I have been in a set back since early February 2015 and having another MRI to see what is wrong. I am hoping that we don’t need to re-​due the surgery and the new physical therapist, Don, that I have been working with has been providing EXCELLENT care with the assistance of Jake and Vic.
If you have a concern or issue talk with Kathy and it is taken care of. She takes pride in her practice and continues to strive for excellent care to get the athlete back in the game!

Kathy & her crew are great. Very professional, but they make you feel comfortable. Brandon and Joe have been working with me and I’m feeling much better!

If you have nothing better to do then sit around and wait to be helped this is your place. I have little ones and I don’t have all the time in the world.

I actually look forward to coming here every other day and I’ve already noticed a significant improvement. The environment is very relaxed and friendly and I walk out not just feeling better physically but mentally as well. This place is great and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone I know.

This is a great place for Physical Therapy! The people that work there are really good and take there time helping you.

Been going here since 1985 I have had much therapy over the years and keep going back what else can I say, people know what they are doing, and even the owner works there still after all these years ;)
