OMG! The staff are SORUDE! I heard so much about this place. I went in expecting something great! Instead I was basically pushed out the door by ignorant and flat out mean staff. There are about 7 other customers in line and the staff made it a point to be loud and belittle me. I have SEVERE Celiac. I asked if they had and allergy menu. The guy behind the cuter points above our heads. «Uhm. There’s the menu right there.» I explained my issue and asked again. He said«I don’t low what to tell you.» Points at the menu again. Then he says is Spanish something to a woman. She comes to the front counter. I ask her the same. She does the same thing. I explain I can’t eat wheat. She says the tacos are corn. I asked if they made their chips there and if they were fried in the same oil as the fried fish. She looked at me as if I asked her to get naked and dance on the bar!!! I asked for the manager or the owners number or email. They told me they didn’t know it. She was so rude. I told her this was unacceptable and I would be leaving. «Ok, whatever». I found the owners name and emailed her. She called me and wanted to give me a $ 10 credit to their store. I let her know I did not want the $ 10 because of her staff I would never set foot in the store again.

Damn good tacos. The price is a little steep for one taco, yet it’s still a pretty good size. The spanish rice is a nice addition every time. Overall, a cool little taco shop thats down the street from the beach that you can grab a taco and have a beer. I’d love to see more specials for tacos. There’s only one Tuesday every week and tacos are great any day of the week.

Great spot, friendly staff and delicious Burritos at a good price. Their specials could be better, but I won’t hate cause the food is great.

First off if I could give a zero score it would be so let me tell you why: This is my second time at this location and when I came in to order I was the only one there so everything was easy/quick. When I went to get my drink it had what appeared to be pieces of bugs/leaves who knows but it was gross. They were kind enough to give me a new cup and Horchata instead(still disgusting/careless). But half way though my lunch a few customers come in(3 – 5) and they workers are getting into an argument with their manager. Meanwhile there’s customers waiting to be helped! So unprofessional and rude while people are waiting for service. Plus I’m trying to enjoy my lunch on my day off! NEVERAGAINWILL I COMETOTHISLOCATION I love Chronic Tacos and will continue to go just for sure not here!

Neighborhood Mexican and worth a visit. Carne Asada burrito was really tasty. Nachos were decent. Pity you can’t drink your beer at their outside tables as inside was really hot. Staff were friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Great burritos. Off the Main Street, so it not as busy… but also isn’t serving over priced, under quality food. Love this place for their Chipotle-style burritos.

Good place a little off main street so less crowded and more laid back. The food is tasty having tried nachos, burritos, and bowls at this spot all in the past. Keep going back for the portion size, flavor, and descent price. They have beer on tap and a cool new school soda machine with many types available to try. This chronic taco is my favorite based on location and food quality!

The food here and the service are impeccable. There is no place I would rather eat my dinner just ask my wife lol unless of course she’s making me dinner at home. Try the fried fish burrito it’s my favorite. Also if I didn’t say it already the staff there is so friendly and helpful and make the best burrito in Huntington Beach as far as I’m concerned

You know what? ! For some reason i thought i would like chronic tacos a little bit more. As they are making them in front of you, they look good. But you know what? It’s the shells. The shells disintegrate very quickly, when you open the taco foil to eat. So i hate that! Also they aren’t that flavorful. Just American wannabe real food.

First off, I love chronic tacos and the food they serve. That being said, this particular location(HB off 11th st) has THE worst employees I’ve ever encountered at a chronic location. Not just once but multiple times I’ve been there every single one of those employees were crazy rude, have rotten attitudes and are extremely condescending. It’s not just me either, every friend I have and family members, that go to this chronic often, have told me the same thing and have had similar experiences. The only reason I gave this 1 star was because I couldn’t do negative 5 stars.

I really love Chronic Taco’s tacos. I think they are delicious and would give them 4 stars just for how good they taste. However, I had to write this review after getting their Gringo Breakfast burrito. It by far was the most bland thing I’ve ever seen and eaten. The eggs tasted like cardboard. There was hardly any bacon. I found two random pieces of potato. When adding guacamole, they really skimped on it. Since I did eat some of it, later in the day the thought of it actually continued to gross me out. It’s hard to find a good breakfast burrito you can order and go. This place definitely proves that. The service isn’t friendly at all either. Used to have some friendly people working, not anymore though. Such a bummer.

Great neighborhood spot away from the downtown craziness. Love that you can build your own burrito or taco and pair it with any of 6 beers on tap. They have outdoor seating, but if you are drinking a cold one, you have to sit inside. No worries, though, there are windows out to the shops across the way-great people watching spot. Adjacent to the kitchen, they have a room with two pool tables, 80s arcade games, and TVs playing various sport games. The only reason for 4 stars is because I prefer the food at Normita’s Surf City Tacos on Beach Blvd, but this is a great, nearer to home option for me. Cheers!

I like getting the machaca breakfast burrito because they grill the onions, eggs and shredded beef fresh when you order it. I cut the burrito in half to share with my lady and a few bites in she pulled out this giant nasty chunk of something pink, raw, jelly-like.(see photos) They tried telling me it was beef fat from the machaca, but beef fat is white, and when freshly grilled even tastes good! This was pink and raw– I don’t see how it could have possibly been any part of a cow, or how the cook didn’t see it if it was on the grill. They offered to make me another one, but I got a refund instead. The manager said she’d check with their meat supplier. I won’t be eating here until at the very least I hear they are buying better quality meat. I’ll be going to Sanchos down the street– yum!
