This place is a piece of shit,. It loses my debit card and then blames it on me. When I know when, where, who, what I gave it to and all they said is I can’t we can’t confirm or deny what you are saying.

This review is for brunch only… That being said I thoroughly enjoyed their brunch. We had a fantastic time and my favorite part is we were never rushed out of there during our football game. It’s about $ 25-$ 30 and worth it. Decent selection of food and quality was good. They even have some seafood options including oysters, shrimp and ceviche. Our server was pretty awesome, he was on the champagne for us. He was like a ninja the way he would come refill our champagne… Before we even realized we needed more! Now that’s my kind of brunch!

Great place to party on a saturday night a nightclub in downtown HB basically. Security was very welcoming not your typical agressive douchbag bouncers. Dj played great music and bartenders poured great drinks, I would definetly recommend this place to others and by the way there was no cover charge at the door.

Loud. Sports are on speakers that are over each booth. So loud we can’t hear each other. We came with a Groupon only to find it can’t be used for the steaks! Okay, we should have read the fine print On the positive side, the have real authentic old fashions! Hard to find these days. Although Hubby ordered a guiness and there was no head :(. Let’s hope our hamburgers our great.

Chris and Malory took great care of us. Refilled waters without us even asking, made us great drinks and just made us feel welcome. Honestly you don’t meet bartenders like them anymore!

This place is horrible. It’s filled with people from the inland Empire and aggressive males… the dance floor is always packed and very sweaty. Door: At the door was my worst experience. The big Hawaiian or Samoan guy was very rude and called me «Lil Bitch» because of my height. Then charges me 15 $ entry fee because it’s packed after i waited in line for 10 minutes I handed him $ 20 and he didn’t even give me a change Avoid this place. I’d recommend going somewhere else

I wish I could give 0 stars but after that experience I don’t foresee returning. On Friday November 20th, a couple friends n I were at this establishment celebrating my dear friends birthday. Our dinner was delicious but unfortunately the safety n staff members were not as great. As we proceeded to continue with our celebration at the bar lounge in the back one of your security guards(picture posted) was completely out of line. I noticed him getting too close to the female guests there and well frankly that was not our problem nor our concern. We figured those girls liked it. BUTTT he then came to grab on my friend who was accompanied by her boyfriend. When she politely asked him to step away he grabbed on like if he was just some random drunk man at the bar. He then tried to start an altercation with her boyfriend and when the other security guards stepped in he pushed them all back to start an unnecessary bar fight. He was then kicked out and like a maniac runs back in to start a new fight with our group. Is that the staff you hire for your restaurant? I thought we were going to a safe place with respectful security to help and protect if a bar fight were to start. Did not know we were going to an establishment where the staff starts the fights. I’m extremely embarrassed with my friends for it was my suggestion to come to your restaurant to begin with. More than half our party left and the birthday girl was left distraught. We spent a decent amount of money there to basically get spit in our faces. I truly hope you can contact me with a response and an apology. How could we possibly feel comfortable at a place like that? I thought we were going to a descent establishment to end up being treated with low class n such disrespect. I took photos of the man if you care to see them. I look forward to your response on what you as a manager will do to fix the situation. I’ve emailed and have called several times but have rocked no response.

Excellent bottomless champagne and buffet. Have not experienced night life but ensued one of Huntington’s finest.

This bar is located in downtown Huntington Beach. It has a good location and decently sized bar. There’s also a mechanical bull in the back of the bar, although I definitely was not hammered enough to try it. To me, this place is average. I didn’t have the best experience because I’m not used to the crowd, but it was okay overall. One word: meh.

First, I will say I am just a patron to several bars in dt HB and a friend to none of them. That said: 5 stars for the Sunday Champagne Brunch. 10 – 3. This is about the only time I go there. I cannot speak for the other night life etc. etc. Nevertheless, if you are 55 and older($ 16)… or younger than that(around $ 25) do not miss this brunch. Lots of large screen TV’s around for Sunday pro-football. The choice of foods is 101% outstanding. And since I am older than 55, absolutely the best buy anywhere. If anyone knows a better brunch at a price one cannot refute, PLEASE tell me ASAP. Thank you, olé

It’s cool. Went in for the Sunday brunch and to watch some football. Nice, open, clean. We sat at the bar where most of the regulars are at. They were pleasant n the staff was attentive. Food was ok. Most of my food from the Buffett was cold n the oysters seemed extra fishy. The bottomless mimosas were over flowing which was great. All around the place is clean n pretty quiet. I’d go back on a non football Sunday I like to be around more of a rowdy bunch for football. Other then that they get a thumbs up.

We went early Friday evening — night crowd wasn’t happening yet, nor was anyone on the Bull. Hostess & server were great. We had ceviche, Rib Eye Steaks, loaded & twice baked potatoe — all very good! I will go there again!

i reposted a review because me and the general manager had an agreement that I would remove my bad Unilocal post of assault and battery from a bouncer if she would let me see the footage. Well all of sudden a family emergency came up a few hours before. after my post was removed.

First and last time ever coming here. Had Jack & Coke and moved along, came back and had a Mai Tai and after giving the male bartender my card he starts to me that my friends and I stiffed him and he didn’t get a tip blah blah blah. In my head I was like are you freaken kidding me right now bro? Told him I had no idea what he was talking about, I wasn’t with my friends at the bar they were on the dance floor. Long story short, he was the biggest douche ever. Here’s your dang tip: stop being an ass! Wish I would’ve gotten his name.

Friday night(last night), arrived around 12am(Saturday morning I guess). We came here after wanting to try something different than our regular DTF(Fullerton) girls night out. Pros: *Line wait was short to get in. *Girls bathroom was clean and had more than 2 stalls, thank you. *great music and crowd *good vibes Cons: *drinks were not delicious(ordered a peach lemon drop and sour apple martini on the rocks) *they began closing a bit early 1:10am-ish

Tonight I went to Black Bull with some girls. I apparently didn’t order my drinks«loud enough» for the bartender, Jason M? who was working the bar in the dungeon aka dance floor. In all fairness, I was competing with the ghetto rap music being blasted throughout the small, hot room. After trying to communicate the order to the apparently hurried bartender, he told me, verbatim to: stop wasting his time, next time get my order down when approaching a bar, and to never come back to his bar. Jesus. It’s TOOLTIME. I was so appalled at his reaction that I went and attempted to discuss the matter with Manager Sara/Sarah White(a bartender at the main bar) who after several minutes of putting me on the back burner(probably to avoid the issue and collect some more tips) decided to pull me to the back with the motive to try to resolve the matter by ANDGETTHIS bringing the girls I was with and myself shots to make me look cool. AREYOUKIDDINGME? I didn’t want shots, I told her politely, I just wanted the ability to be able to order from that second bar without feeling of discrimination from the one bartender and maybe an apology. She agreed to talk to Jason whateverhisnamewas and then, sensing the issue was resolved, turned, went the COMPLETE opposite way, and continued to bartend. I could already see the matter would be handled in one of those after-work conversations where they would just essentially blow the situation off. Even so, I wanted to give Sara/Sarah a chance and see what she would do to resolve the situation. Long story short, I saw no action taken over the course of the night. I never saw Sara/Sarah come even anywhere near the second bar. I decided, okay well I’m going to take a picture of this tool-head bartender so I can at least remember his description better as to show possibly a «real» manager(if one exists at this fine establishment) the guy who ruined my night. I whipped out my camera from afar but he definitely saw it happen as I took it. He looked at me and I returned his glare by with raising my eyebrows with a kind of «gotcha» kind of look. A little stupid I guess, although I could have been taking a picture of the people I was with, but that’s when he came over and thuggishly escorted me out of the bar with the bouncer. I thought the guy was going to fight me. In the back alley, no fight thankfully, but he told me to cram the picture I took of him up to cram it up my you-know-what, that Sara/Sarah wouldn’t care what I said, and told me to essentially F off after giving me his name(which I can’t believe I have forgotten). It’s okay about the name though, I posted the picture of him to the Unilocal feed. Even after this, I went back around to the front to contact a manager. Again came Sara/Sarah…This time you could tell she honestly didn’t care and so she told me «to do whatever» and that she didn’t know what to do. Great leader sounds like. Anyway, long story short, if you want to ever be escorted off a dance floor and out of a bar because you didn’t order loud enough over ghetto booty music, Black Bull is the place for you.

3.5 stars **Located across from HB Pier near Main St. Make a right on Main St, then 1st right at intersection. Across from parking structure** Who would’ve thought the Black Bull Chop House would have an all you can eat Sunday BRUNCHBUFFET. It was a pleasant surprise to me. Our friends hosted a birthday here last week and we had a blast. TIDBITS: 1) They take reservations for large groups 2) Park in the structure across the street. They will validate 1 hour. Kinda lame why they don’t validate the whole thing. 3) Adults $ 21.99 Children 6 –10 $ 12.99 Children 3 — 5 $ 7.99 4) Outdoor and indoor seating. AMBIANCE: Very chill and relaxing. For the SPORTSLOVERS, they have flat screen TVs with the major game showing. Heck, there is even a bull in the middle of the restaurant, but only«works» at night. –our party was in a semi-private area towards the back; great for parties! SERVICE: Our waiter(Mario) was quite patient and friendly. He had to deal with us loud peeps who kept asking him to refill the Mimosas and take pix for us. We had a bit of a mishap with the bill since we were charged for an extra person, but that got resolved. CHECK your bill for the correct headcount. **THEFOODGIST** –Endless Mimosas. I don’t drink so I asked for Mimosas w/o champagne… aka OJ. Can you believe I got Sunny Delight. Gross! Can’t believe the Mimosas are made out of Sunny D and not real OJ. Some ppl liked it and others. not so much. THEMUSTHAVES: 1) Waffles: they make these fresh when you order. They are light, thin and crisp. Delicious. We topped it with whipped cream and fruits. You can also do your own rendition of fried chicken and waffles. YUM 2) Ceviche: fish & tiny shrimps. Quite tart and tasted delicious with some chips and a hint of Tapatio. 3) Lightly Cajun seasoned shrimp: dip into some cocktail sauce and tabasco and Waalaa… you can’t stop :) 4) Surprisingly, their mini turkey sliders on HAWAIIANBREAD were fantastic. A hint of mayo and veggies w/thin slices of turkey. STUFFED my face with other goodies: –tater tots –chorizo tacos –carnitas enchiladas and chile relleno –custom made omelettes –menudo I prefer the food @ El Torito Grill, but all in all a pretty awesome place.
