$ 38 office visit, not bad but other places offer a free visit first time
The Dr. we saw didn’t make me feel very comfortable. I felt she should’ve led the conversation more. She read the medication flier in room for almost three minutes of silence. Made us feel like she didn’t know anything about the medication for worms.
She gave her the medication which did work to clear up the worms, but over all her bedside manner wasn’t amazing. I’m looking for amazing because my puppy is my family.
I just didn’t have a great overall feeling about the visit.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for over 3 years and never experienced any problems until recently. Last Saturday, I brought my 8 lb pup in for a visit because I found blood in her urine. The vet examined her, performed an ultrasound, urinalysis, and stated it was probably a UTI or a kidney infection. The dr. prescribed an antibiotic and asked I return in 2 weeks to follow up… My dog died 2 ½ days later. I can’t help but think something was missed by the doctor. I am so heartbroken and disappointed in the care provided.

This was my first experience at this Animal Hospital, and every staff member that I came in contact with was so helpful and caring. I would recommend this Veterinary Clinic to everyone if I could. I can tell that they love each and every animal that comes through their doors. If you are looking for quality, and affordable care for your pet… Look no further. God bless em

I’ve been coming here since the Dr. Tyler days… He was amazing and Im so sad he retired and sold his practice… I am however, still happy to see how well Dr. Buche has ran it. Prices went up a smidge but thats life. Dr. Buche is very professional, and genuinley concerned about my animals. So many times I hear horror stories about local vets office– Im so lucky to say Iv never had anything but fair treatment here.

This is a wonderful place to take your pets. Everyone there is so kind and compassionate. I have had some difficult issues with dogs over the past few years and these folks have been there for me. Brining in my brand new puppy this week to start a new journey.

I’m so impressed with this clinic and the staff. They are all extremely professional and treat me and my puppy with the care I expect to receive. The Doctors there are both very knowledgeable and have great bedside manners. I’m glad I found this place for my precious Lola.

Have never had a problem here. Friendly staff and I genuinely trust them all with my pet. Fair prices for services.

We were in and out of the clinic within an hour on a Saturday. The veterinarian was genuine and knowledgeable. Very affordable and reasonable.

Friendy, courteous staff. Dr. Black took great care in examining and questioning me about Sanji’s condition, possibly feline urinary tract disease. Post procedure, Dr. Black walked me through Sanji’s blood work and urinalysis in layperson terms and discussed next steps. Dr. Black’s compassion for animals and profession were apparent throughout the initial and followup visit. Lastly, the prescribed diet for Sanji’s condition is available at Beach City and the cost is less than what I could order online. Although I live in Long Beach the 35 – 40 minute drive is worthy of the drive with a feline in a cage. Grateful for Dr. Black and the Beach City Animal Hospital crew.

I’m so grateful because I feel like I can trust the vets at Beach City Animal Hospital. They are honest, caring, and you don’t get the feeling they’re just out to get your money. I’ve seen both Dr. Beshai and more recently, Dr. Guirguis — and they are both WONDERFUL.
Years ago, I brought my first cat to Dr. Beshai to get a second opinion on a urinary problem — another hospital had quoted me hundreds of dollars to do testing and I was leery to go forward with them. Dr. Beshai examined my cat, and advised me to change her diet to a specific food that was formulated to help with such urinary control issues. I did and the problem went away. He wasn’t out to rip me off — he saw that it could be addressed more simply, and honestly told me instead of racking up my bill first.
Years later, I moved back to the area and brought in a different kitty that I had found as a stray, who had been attacked by another animal. He had a gaping wound on his neck and I was fearful of the cost, but KNEW he needed the help! Dr. Guirguis worked with me and made sure we got all the most important issues addressed with the right care, so kitty could heal quickly and still be treated effectively. She was kind, gentle, and caring. So grateful to have vets out there like you! Thank you Dr. Guirguis!!!

This vet is absolutely wonderful. Specifically Dr. Beshai, who is such a great doctor and really takes care of his patients and their parents! I had brought my cat in a couple of years ago when I lived in HB and was very pleased with his care. Most recently though I came in because my cat became very ill and was losing weight and not eating. I had taken him to a vet in Costa Mesa initially as it was closer to home, and the doctor did not properly diagnose my cat or even really take his condition seriously. I took my cat back to Beach City to see Dr. Beshai and he got a full work up and actually required hospitalization. I honestly credit Dr. Beshai with saving my cat’s life. My pet is 15 years old and I really thought this was going to be it for him, but because of the great care of Dr. Beshai and the staff at Beach City he is acting like he is a kitten again. He made a full recovery and is doing great!
Everyone there is wonderful — The staff was so communicative with me while he was hospitalized for 4 days and I felt very comfortable leaving my pet there with them. They are a very busy office but that is obviously because they provide great service. I don’t care how far away I live, they will always be my vet of choice!

From day one this place has been absolutely awesome! I took my dog here because I was unhappy with all the other Vets in the area and this place held up to it’s reputation. Staff are friendly and the veterinarians are awesome!

I just want to thank the staff here at Beach City animal hospital. They honestly do care and love your pets as if it’s their own. They don’t try to take advantage of the costs and give what your dog doesn’t necessarily need.
My dog Olive, who is a Shelty passed away about 3 weeks ago as we took him here to get him checked and to find out that he had lung cancer at a young age of 7 years old (human years). It was one of the most devastating times in my life. I take my other dog, daisy to get her check ups here as well. When Olive passed, he was in the care of Dr. Beshai, who really tried to bring him back to life. but unfortunately it was his time to go home. Thank you Dr. Beshai and everyone here for doing the best you could. Olive is now in heaven, resting in peace.

I called Tammy on weekend to ask for help since my boxer is 12 years old and he has arthritis. My boxer was in pain. Tammy was very help. I has been to several animal hospitals. This place does care about my dog, not my wallet. Thank you, Tammy for your help.

Unfortunately I am writing this review with a heavy heart. My beloved dog and man’s best friend passed yesterday. That being said, I commend the staff and doctors and BCAH. From the beginning, through the tests and answering all my questions about the disease and care for my dog, they were very professional. They are compassionate and genuinely care about your pet. Chewie was a very hard dog to deal with, he did not like the vet and would have nervous bouts that included trying to bite the staff and defecating in the waiting area. The staff took it in stride. Tammy was especially receptive to Chewie’s behavior and it made it easier for me to leave him there for tests. Dr. Beshai was great. I am so grateful for everything he did to help Chewie. I cannot praise BCAH enough. Thank you so much.

It was the first time I ever came here. My dog got very sick while boarding. Doctor Black was very nice. She kept my Yorkie in the back area away from the other dogs to prevent him from making other dogs sick. They really do care about your pets here. I was sent home with antibiotics. They are a good vet to go to for ER treatment.

I also found Beach City on Unilocal,one night while easing my dog through what was most likely a seizure… I didn’t know and he started acting normally within about 10 min, or we would’ve been at emergency. Anyway, that was about a year and a half ago. I called the moment they opened that morning and they fit us right in.
I’ve never ever had second thoughts about going anywhere else since that morning. See, I had a great vet, two actually at the same practice, and through the years, one retired, and the other moved out of state. So we kind of went for awhile trying new vets out around the area, but never really feeling like anyplace was completely right for us. I’m very picky with my babies, and not easily trusting of just anyone. Luckily, their health is generally good, so we mostly only needed shots during that time. Until of course that horrible night. I think that’s also when I really started using Unilocal as well.
Now I’m thrilled with the care my dogs get, the prices are reasonable and they really talk to you to help you understand so you can make informed decisions about the care your pets need. Also the rest of the staff is friendly… it’s nice that they are nice to me, but moreover, they are nice to my dogs. I have one crazy boy that loves going to the vet, it’s a social situation for him, he eats it all up, one that likes the waiting room, but not being touched by anyone, and my third hates the whole thing. The scared ones always get some extra soothing, which I appreciate. I care as much about their mental wellbeing as their physical. The scared ones were rescues, and abused as well, so their trust in humanity is questionable. At least at Beach City, these people care!

I first found Beach City Animal Hospital here on Unilocal and, I must say, they definitely live up to the other stellar reviews they’ve received here. My dogs have been patients here for a few years now and I’ve been happy with every visit.
We’ve seen multiple doctors and they are all very thorough, attentive and informative. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone searching for a reliable, and reasonably priced facility to care for their pets.

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to review Beach City. To be honest, the other vets get 4 stars, but Dr. Beshai gets 6 stars, so I will just average it to 5 Stars.
Dr. Beshai is a VERY thorough vet. He will ask you a bagillion questions, trying to get to the root of the problem, instead of just prescribing antibiotics for EVERYTHING like some vets do. He has helped save many of my pets in dire circumstances, sometimes in very creative ways. He is open to trying new treatments and he will always try to find something that will work for YOU and YOUR pet. No one-​size-​fits-​all treatments here.
Guy and Tammy at the front desk are also fantastic. Very helpful and very caring. All of this great service and they are a pretty low-​cost vet! I saved over $ 1,000.00 (yes, ONE THOUSAND) in just ONE surgery (teeth cleaning including 2 teeth removed) versus what another vet was quoting us. THANK YOU, DR. BESHAI!

The people who work here are very sweet and caring to all animals and have been very good with my two cats. The doctors are knowledgeable when answering any questions you may have.
They can accommodate emergency last min appts. Although this comes with a wait and a $ 20 fee, I appreciate the option in case of emergencies.
