I had a 1999 Honda Civic that was serviced by Shane and his team for the past 8 years that I’ve lived in Huntington Beach. Recently, Shane helped with an engine light problem when I dropped in on the way back from San Diego. The fact that I can drop in when I have a question is the kind of service you can expect from Autowave. Shane has helped me through all the regular service appointments and helped ease my mind and pocketbook when the BIG stuff has come along as I reached 226,000 miles. I truly thank him for all his help and recommend them to any Honda owners. I listed Autowave as my primary care facility when I sold the car last weekend, and I hope the new owner continues its’ maintenance at Autowave for the many, many years the car has left.

I brought my S2000 here for the first time today, and was blown away by how good the service was. I had previously been taking it to another local S2000 specialist, but that shop’s owner left me feeling frustrated due to his impatient attitude and condescending know-​it-​all tone. Right off the bat, Autowave was the total opposite of this previous experience.
Shane was friendly and helpful when I dropped the car off. I had a difficult to diagnose noise, and he listened to all my input and asked relevant questions. Within a few hours, Mike gave me a call to ask some follow-​up questions and make recommendations for other issues they noticed (I was due for front brake pads). He also listened to me, and spent over ten minutes on the phone with me explaining his diagnosis in detail.
When I picked the car up in the afternoon, both Shane and Mike took the time to chat with me more. I went out front to find they even washed my car, and cleaned all the brake dust off my wheels (something most car washes miss). The service bill was very reasonable, too.
As I was leaving, Shane said he hopes to see me again as a repeat customer. Well guys, you definitely will.

I don’t live in the area anymore but these guys took good care of my NSX while I was out there. My reviews have both South Coast Acura and Autowave, to be honest I was happy with both of them for care with my NSX. I just went to whomever wasn’t as busy. SO it’s not a knock on either, just more of a scheduling thing.

The team at Autowave has always been amazing! Honest, great service, great prices, and make you feel like a part of their family. Oil change also comes with a free car wash! Do not hesitate to call them up or bring your car in for service.

I come to autowave in hungtington for work on my acura rsx type s. I try to do most of the work on my car myself, but whenever a job comes up that’s out of my scope of knowledge, this is the first place ill come to. These guys truly are honda experts and are passionate about what they do. They are very compromisable and flexible with their customers and don’t waste your time. If you have any problems with your honda I highly recommend you come here. They aren’t the cheapest, but the quality of their work is truly a reflection of the price. Also, there will always be a couple amazing looking nsx’s being worked on there, always an amazing sight!

Probably one of the most professional auto shops designed towards Honda and Acura automobiles, or in my opinion at least. I personally don’t own one for myself, but a friend of mine needed some work done on his RSX. The staff here are knowledgeable and kind, and even offered my friend a car wash after they were done. These people are flexible to work with and seemed very reliable in the end. Autowave offers excellent service and I would highly recommend it.

Looked them up on Unilocal,took my CRV there. Honest and quick service. I hate going to places that feed you info of what you need. Shane was upfront and gave me great advice without selling me on anything. What a great shop. Definitely going back.

I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest and reliable mechanic. I’ve been coming to them for a few years now and they’ve kept my Acura TSX in tip top shape. I’m already over 200k miles and with their help I’m planning on making it past 300k. Car runs better than ever since I started taking it to them!

I have been taking my NSX to Shane and son Michael since I moved to SoCal in 2009. They have transformed my 20 year old sports car into a high performance Super Car. Supercharger, new top end, tuned to a microsecond of optimum, and replaced a marginal steering rack with a salvaged unit from a car they had just for customers like me. They have contacts and quick access to parts other shops have to search for. Nobody else touches Little Joe (original owner was Michael Landon) and it is now the dream car I always wanted. Autowave may be the best NSX Tuner in the Country and I feel lucky to have found them! Thanks for everything Guys!

Autowave is a local shop that specializes in Acura’s and Honda’s. I also believe they have a «performance» division where they service NSX’s. I did some research on many shops around the area as I was getting a little fed up with the major franchised places due to their inconsistency, and going to the dealership is just a ripoff.
Living in the area I always drive by Autowave, and thought I’d do a little more research on them. After reading the reviews on both Unilocal and other sites, plus by coincidence, have a friend who also has gotten her car serviced by them, I decided to give them a shot. After speaking with Mike and Shane (Son and Father who own the place), I have to say that I am likely going to be a repeat customer. The business has been around since the mid-1980’s and in speaking to both of them, I felt comfortable that their entire team has the knowledge and experience to properly keep my MDX in top shape. More importantly, I felt they were 100% transparent and honest with me during the entire process; in fact, Shane mentioned that my front-​brakes will need some attention soon, but advised that they’ll likely make it through my next service date so there isn’t any rush to do them soon.
Their prices are what I expected from a specialty shop; they’re slightly higher than the major «franchise» stores, but they’re more than fair. In fact, they’re much lower than the dealership and they still use genuine Acura/​Honda parts. They also provide complimentary services like a local shuttle and complimentary car wash. Combining their level of service and workmanship, I have become a fan of this place and see the value in continuing to come back.

Went here on a friends recommendation. Dealer had told me I needed new CV joints and wanted $ 807 for the job. I drove all the way from Montebello and Mike and Shane were great! Explained everything to me and said that I shouldn’t pay for something I don’t need. They checked my car over and said CV joints are fine. Just suggested some upcoming maintenance stuff to get out of the way. Saved me over $ 400!!!

Honest & reliable. Glad I found a place that can do all my Acura needs. Did a good job on my brakes and the noise is gone. Yay!

Great service and super knowledgeable. I had my s2000 here in for a tune. They realized that my fuel pump needed to be upgraded as it was running way to lean. Furthermore, they saw that I needed a new head as my compression test showed it was leaking badly. All the work they did was reasonable. Great service.

These guys are amazing. They not only walk me through anything I need on my Honda, but they even helped me find problems that were still under warranty and now I can get the dealership to fix them for free. Shane and the guys are the best shop I’ve ever been to, and I will never get my Honda serviced anywhere else once my warranty is up. Great prices, amazing service, but most of all they are so upfront and they’re great people.
