I wish I didn’t have to write this review. But it’s been over 2 years and I’m still figuring out a way to remove these scars… I had another procedure done at another surgery center and now I know why I’m left with these large scars that indent in and some that’s hypertrophic. Dr. Acetta didn’t stitch up any of my liposuction scars, which were a grand total of 29 holes. The last surgery center did and none of the scars were indented or hypertrophic. Even though I have larger breasts and a better shaped body I still dread looking in the mirror because of all these scars… I think Dr. Acetta is a very sweet person, but he left me with scars I’m going to have to live with for the rest of my life.

Believe the one star reviews… Nancy P is right! My review of August Accetta is long over-​due. This man is a con artist and he absolutely lies! He’s not even a plastic surgeon, he’s a ob/​gyn. I had the exact same bad experience and outcome described by the other honest one star reviewers here. One of many big red flags… he doesn’t accept credit cards or checks for payment, debit or cash only because credit charges can be contested and checks can have payment stopped. At the time I was there he had a couple of bad reviews but he assured me those patients were crazy psychos. He even told me that he knew he shouldn’t have taken one of the women as a patient, but did because he needed the money. He also said that Unilocal was out to get him because they immediately deleted any good reviews of him… yeah right!

FAKE REVIEWS — I agree with Bella S!!! All of these suspicious 5-​star reviews are just that — very suspicious. Previously, he had very few reviews, and all of them rated him very poorly, and as a scam artist. THIS MAN IS A SCAM ARTIST, AND A LIAR! And, so is his office staff, primarily the office manager, in helping to cover-​up his licensed robbery.
THIS MAN WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY & GIVE YOU NOTHING IN RETURN BUT PAIN AND MISERY AND LIES. STAY FAR AWAY.

They made it very clear that fat transfer was not BIG implants. The results in the photo book were fair. The office is located ½ a mile from the Beach. I had gyn work done and may or may not go back for fat transfer But lipo is not going to make a lot of fat go away. I need to diet first… large women need a procedure like The gastric sleeve not lipo…

Dr. Accetta does seem to know a lot about the fat transfer procedure for the breasts, and though I wasn’t thrilled with the results, at least, thank God, I didn’t have the horrible complications that others had. My problems with him are that he did a terrible job doing facial fat transfer to places I didn’t ask for-​got to clock those dollars-​and the predatory staff lied about the prices for the procedure, which entailed trying to get him to fix the messed up parts-​he only did one revision and it was not well done, you could tell the fact that it was not bringing in money was on his mind and he really just wanted to get it over with. It is really sad, and I think that there is something to the fact that in 2011 there were only 2 reviews and suddenly there are a bunch of grateful patients and wonderful reviews on his website featured prominently. When I came in for my free consultation, he mentioned the negative reviews and said to disregard them, these were psycho people. I have been trying to call there to ask how long the lipo is supposed to last-​lots of mine is losing its shapeliness, no one answers the phone. I really wish he would clean up his act and concentrate on perfecting his techniques with the lipo and fat transfer. I don’t think I would do it over with him. the low point was when he told me I should get some implants-​after the fat transfer, of course As the other ladies have mentioned, he should have said that first, I would have saved major money

You are not only extremely unethical to speak publicly about my case August Accetta (hello patient/​doctor confidentiality?!) but you are also dishonest. I had cysts (fat cysts which occurred as a result of you over injecting without proper blood supply, which resulted in necrosis) drained last Tuesday. Excuse me– but that’s one hell of a complication. It was the size of a golf ball and extremely painful. And I DID use the suction device that was recommended by your office. Please– see my review on realself dot com. It’s under bellasfattransteview. Go look at my pics and tell me you’ve never had a complication. I would be very cautious about someone who would have the nerve to say he’s never had a problem with a patient. How bad does something have to be before it constitutes as a complication in your book Accetta? Is deformity, and breasts filled with painful lumps of necrotic fat NOT a complication? You’ve got a lot of nerve.

I have been going to Dr Accetta for 16 years. He delivered 3 of my boys and multiple other procedures that include a tummy tuck and a hysterectomy and I have had nothing but great experiences and great things to say about him. I feel very lucky to have found him back 16 years ago after my miscarraige.

DON’T GO TO Dr. Accetta!!! The results will be horrible!!! Everything everyone who wrote a horrible review is TRUE!!! I regret EVER getting work done with him!!! Please believe us when we say you will be deform!!! I should have done more research on him but I got surgery done 4 yrs ago and till this day I’m waiting in him to fix me. Now the staff is giving me the running around after I spent thousands of dollars and referred people. They are all liars just to get your money. I will be reporting him to the board and the BBB!!!

Dr. Accetta and his staff were very accommodating. I wanted to make my nose smaller and have read a lot of horror stories. I live in Seattle but my wife’s entire family lives in southern California and so they recommended a few doctors for me, of which Dr. Accetta was one. I flew out for the week and started my doctoral investigation.
Dr. Accetta explained everything to me; he described the procedure and how long it would take to heal. He was very friendly and professional and on the day of the operation I was in and out. Everything went smoothly. The care I received after the operation was above satisfactory, although I felt the Dr. could have spent a little more time with me.
I then went home and a few days later saw some bruising, and went back to see Dr.Accetta.
I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see that he made time to see me that very same day! He looked at everything and said it would be fine.
I went home and after a few days the swelling and bruising was gone (It really was not that bad, but I worry easily).
I must say, Plastic surgery is a big deal and I am very happy that I chose Dr. Accetta, because he hand holds you through the entire process and listens to your concerns.
Before choosing Dr. Accetta, I visited Dr. Steve Vu & the Bella Luce Medispa. I decided to go with Dr. Accetta after a lot of research. I tool in to consideration all of the previous Unilocal reviews and all of the other reviews I could find online, put it together with all of the answers I got from really drilling each doctor and took my chances with Dr. Accetta. He seemed really kind and took his time in answering all of my questions. In contrast, the other doctors seemed rushed, but then again, maybe a simple nose job isn’t a high enough dollar job for them. Dr. Accetta 30+ years experience in the field was also very comforting and played a big part in my decision.
I am completely satisfied with the results and am thinking of going back for a different procedure for my wife. I highly recommend Dr. Accetta and suggest you talk to him before getting and surgery done.

When I went for my consultation, I was embarrassed about even inquiring about the procedure (LVR). Dr. Accetta and staff eased my apprehensions. They were very friendly and patient; answering all of my questions (and, I had a lot of them). This is my first cosmetic procedure and I have to say that I am confident that I have made the right decision and will be completely satisfied with the outcome. Dr. Accetta lays the process out step-​by-​step. The terms were financing are also easy and affordable. (That’s important to me as well)!

I went to Dr. Accetta for smart– lipo and the procedure was fast and painless. His surgery coordinator Kelly did everything she could to squeeze me in to the doctors busy schedule I did all my paper work online and my consult over the phone. I live in Las Vegas and had my procedure booked and done within 1 week. I love my results and it has only been 1 month and I have no scaring and I’m ready for the pool!

Got the stem cell breast augmentation with lip augmentation and neither worked at all. The procedure just simply isn’t «there» yet… I did, however, have swelling and inflammation for about three months… then…nothing. No cup increase, no augmentation in the lips… just scars from the lipo. Great doctor but HUGE waste of money. Wish someone had written this review before I blew $ 8500 on nothing :(((

Dr. Accetta is fantastic! Not only does he do great work, but he really listens to you too. He carefully listens to you to determine what will best work to accomplish your goals, and then gives you the various options available. He doesn’t over-​promise, but works hard to give you exactly what you’re looking for. He makes suggestions that are very worthwhile — he suggested a procedure that tightens the skin that I wasn’t even aware existed, and it worked! Again, no over-​promising — I’m in my early 50’s and have had a lot of kids, so he never said I was going to look 20 again (and I don’t), but I look a heck-​of-​a-​lot better than I did!
5 months post-​surgery, there’s a small amount of fat that can be removed to make things a little bit better (I’m a size two, so a small amount shows on me) and Dr. Accetta is perfectly wonderful to offer to take care of that with no extra charge! I’ll post a final update after that, but I couldn’t give a higher recommendation if I tried!

I have known Dr. Accetta for several years, and trust him as a good surgeon, and friendly, honest person. He cares for his patients, and will go out of his way to please his patients.

Do not go here. Yes the staff is very nice and the doctor is very kind but do not let that fool you. I decided to give myself a gift for graduating with my doctorate. Boy was that a mistake.
They said whatever was necessary to get my money. I am not a stupid consumer either. I did some research and emailed him questions and his response to my concerns where «Oh don’t worry, I’ve never had that happen. You will look great.»
When I had concerns the office manager told me to go get endermologie massages. So I did and spent $ 50 a week for 4 weeks in hope that this would lead to results. WRONG
So here I am today. I spent $ 4000 for a procedure that did not improve anything if anything it made me feel depressed. I spent an additional $ 200 for massages that were great but didn’t promote results.
Dr Acceta did acknowledge that my procedure was a failure. His response was loose weight!!! He originally was a gynecologist and I think he should have stayed in that specialty because plastic surgery is not his forte.
Please let my story help prevent you from making the same mistake. If you think you might choose this place to get surgery please get a second opinion. Consultations are free please get another one.

I also had a fat analysis done by an elite trainer at a highly respected fitness center (they train athletes) on the trunk of my body pre and post this procedure. The trunk section calculations show NO reduction in fat mass in that area. GO FIGURE!!!
I have been contacted by several people on this site who have had similar experiences as mine. If you are thinking about going here just do your homework and get a second opinion please it’s what we as consumers should do anyway. I did not. I believed his hype and I paid the price. He talks a great game.
When I asked him about a bad review he told me the patient was crazy. Ya right. I was the crazy one for trusting him.

Dr. Accetta is a wonderful doctor! I have been coming here for many years now and have been very happy. He makes you feel very comfortable. My family comes here as well. One thing I really like is that he takes his time with all of his patients and also thoroughly answers any questions you have. He makes me feel very comfortable and is a very dedicated doctor to his patients.

I have been a patient a Dr. August Accetta for over 10 years. He has the most awesome bedside manner and really cares about you. I had severe cramping because of cysts & fibroids, 7 years ago he removed them in surgery I went home the next day. I see him for all of my female concerns & refer him to all of my friends for his respectful and kind manner. You will get the very best care with him.

Just want to thank the Accetta Institute for all they have done for me. I am 63 yr old woman feeling like life was essentially over in the looks department. Well, I got a new lease on life after my Rejuvenation Treatments. I had juvederm injections, Botox, and various laser treatments for sun spots and wrinkles. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Accetta and his staff and plan to return for further procedures.

I went to Dr. Acetta a couple of years ago and had a horrible experience. He did some lipo and did it incorrectly. He even admitted the mistake and promised to fix it. Then he kept putting off the surgery date to fix it over and over again. When I got upset and confronted his staff about it his response was that he had decided not to correct the botched lipo after all because of my attitude. Really?! Yep, that’s the kind of doctor he is. If I could go back in time I would NEVER have gone to this person who dares to call himself a doctor.
Update ¼/​13: If you look at the «good» reviews of this doctor, you’ll notice one thing. The reviewers that have given him bad reviews have been Unilocaling for a while. we have several of friends and lots of reviews. The so called good reviews which purport to be real, have one or two friends at the most and almost no reviews, moreover, when I posted my review last year in March, there was only one other review for Dr. Accetta. There were zero positive reviews. Now suddenly there are all five star reviews and somehow going back to 2011, when there were no reviews at that time? Looks really fishy to me. Bottomline is this. there are lots of good doctors in OC. this guy isn’t one of them.

I had Dr. Accetta do my abdominoplasty surgery. Fantastic, wonderful results. I was a little more painful than I anticipated, but now I can say it is worth it. Great Doctor, staff and surgery center. Awesome. All you ladies out there, don’t hesitate. I love the way I look.
