Sad to see this place go, but I ended up moving and rarely went over there in the mornings.

Love this coffee shop great choices and amazing service. What’s Starbucks? This blows it out of the water. I will be back. Oh the shakes are to die for

I am a coffee addict so I am always in search of a great place to get coffee. Im not one of those people who rants about Starbucks coffee being terrible but I often find that every Starbucks in this area is always packed and crowed.
Adams Avenue Coffee is that great place to sit and enjoy a great cup of coffee in a nice comfortable chair or couch. Good music, awesome and friendly staff. Everyone is pleasant and kind.
Highly recommend if you are new to the area or trying to stay away from the mall crowd you make this your new coffee spot.

Coffee is decent, interior and tables are clean and upkept.
My problem is the workers behind the bars.
They seem to have friends over all the time, sitting at the bar, busy chitchatting and goofing around.
I just want a nice cup of coffee and not be disturbed by the loud noise from these people.
Other than that, I think this place could be much better than the Starbucks a few footsteps away for their ambiance and availability of seats.

$ 4.95 for my large chai latte. Must’ve left a good impression bc I came back the next day and got the same. Also something about their ham and cheese croissants. $ 4 but it was so great! Seaside better lookout! I stayed to study and it was nice and quiet. Workers were a little loud talking to each other during down time but that didn’t bother me. I just hope they realize I know all their dirty laundry. I also had a energy bread bar thing (tasted like a bagel). It was good with cream cheese and kept me full. I am coming back during my next bout of exams. Wifi was available but none of my devices could catch it. That included an iPad, iPhone and Samsung Siii. There was a sign saying wifi is a courtesy, not a right, so I didn’t want to ask the workers what happened. Maybe next time.

First time here, order the seasonal drink «Black Forest Mocha» it was really good! I also order the waffle sandwich it was also wonderful!
Will go back :)

I like the cozy environment, and the staff was very nice.
Ham and cheese croissant tastes amazing. Soft. Not greasy. Tastey. Mmmm. Its 8:34 am and yup. The next bite tastes just as good. I found this place by accident, but I will be back for sure.

Time to try my mocha. 8:37. I eat fast. Drink fast too.
Wooow. Whip cream with chocolate shavings/​powder. Nice. Foam. Delicious.

This is a great place to hang with friends and enjoy your coffee fix. The coffee is always fresh and there is great variety of drinks to choose from. Check for the seasonal offerings which are fun and delicious. If you are a true lover of fine coffee, then you need to try it. They brew Keane coffee on a very high end machine. It is delicious and doesn’t taste bitter or burned like a certain large and overbearing chain’s coffee does. The atmosphere is large, warm and inviting. You can chill on the couch, grab a book to borrow from the bookcase and enjoy your brew. Give it a try.

Not impressed with this place. As soon as I walked in, the owner plus two workers were laughing behind the counter and continued to talk as I was checking out the pastries/​coffee menu. As common courtesy and common sense, when a guest walks into your establishment, you’re supposed to end your conversation immediately, be hospitable, and cater to them.
I was suggested a coffee cake from the owner and ordered a zebra mocha. The girl worker was kind enough to bring my pastry to me while the gentleman who made my drink, hollered that my drink was ready on the counter. If your coffee shop was empty and you had the opportunity to extend a more homey and hospitable service, why wouldn’t you do it? It made all the difference.
And lastly, guests who appeared to be their friends were unnecessarily loud along with the baristas. Clearly I had all my books out and laptop ready to study. I immediately left and won’t be coming back. Pay attention to your guests! Take an etiquette class

Had the Blended Green Tea Latte. Very bland, barely any green tea taste. Looked like milk, tasted like milk. I’m not happy I spent $ 4 on milk. Avoid this drink!
Hopefully their coffee is better.
Very bright and spacious. Great if you want to chill with people, tables are big and chairs are comfy.
Only two outlets next to tables as far as I can see, so can be a hit or miss for studying if those specific tables are full.

Adams Avenue Coffee provides a spacious environment to get work done or catch up with friends. Lots of seating (indoors and out), and decent coffee. The wifi is free and there are a number of plugs around (you just have to search for them).
The large windows distracted me from my work, as I found myself staring outside at the clear blue sky. The place doesn’t get too packed, so the noise level is fairly quiet.
I ordered a Mexican Mocha, and it wasn’t that enjoyable. Smooth, not too spicy, with mediocre coffee.
I would come back to enjoy more of the laid-​back ambiance, and to get work done in a non-​Starbucks environment. Apart from that… nothing much to see here…

1. It’s located between Stark Ave & Beach Blvd, so why is it called Adams Ave?
2. Service is GREAT!!! — -but it was Gretchen (assuming one of the owners) that served me, so my review perhaps is invalid. The two young male staff (one asian & one white) were nice also.

We weren’t even looking for coffee, but were drawn to the sign stating they serve Kean’s coffees. The signage above the store reminded me of much-​missed Diedrich’s Coffee. Once in front of the shop, we noticed it was neither a Diedrich’s nor a Kean’s Coffee, but Gretchen’s. After debating whether to enter, I figured I’d check out the offerings — and since I was there, decided to try one of their coffees. I went with the interesting Magic Shot — flavorful and smooth, served in a cute espresso cup and saucer (however, as all espresso shots, small portion for my liking).
I couldn’t pass up going home with a couple of tempting treats behind the case, from Three Hearts Bake Shop; we selected the Browned Butter Treat and Salted Caramel bar. Both were quite delicious!
Service was appreciatively very friendly and helpful. Cute and comfortable little coffee shop — complete with a bartop (correction: seating at the tall counter)!

I really am hard-​pressed to find anything lacking at Adams Avenue Coffee.
From the moment I stepped foot in the establishment, service was friendly and welcoming. Ambience is wonderfully cozy; a great place to meet with friends, a casual business meet, or personal time catching up on a book. The fact that they feature Kean beans tells me they are concerned with quality, and my beverage the barista prepared for me was a great indicator that they know what’s up! I aim on trying one of their waffle sammiches next visit, so there may be a future update to this review!
They are very easy to find off Beach Blvd and Stark Drive… look for the Sport Chalet and they’re right next to.

this place is right off the exit of 405 south as you turn right onto Beach Blvd. it is on the opposite side, so youll needa make a Uturn. It has a big COFFEE sign.

This place is pretty hidden from the street view on Beach unless you really look, it’s right next to the Sport Chalet off Beach and Stark.
There are barely any unique coffee shops around HB that are inviting AND serve quality coffee. Can never go wrong with Keane (what they serve here).
Parking is plentiful because of the business center it is in. If you’re not here for Total Wine or Sport Chalet, there’s no reason to drive in the proximity, which allows it to be fairly mellow and low key. Adams Avenue does bring in business though, but it’s in spurts.
They have a plethora of drinks to offer, and ALMOND MILK as an option. I can’t have dairy and soy sucks but I’m totally all about almond. STOKED.
Can’t go wrong with their unique cold case options: Mexican Coke, hard boiled eggs, granola and greek yogurt, as well as their pastries like DONUTS.
ONE CON: They don’t serve any filling food like sandwiches, salads, etc. But that’s ok I just have to expect to go someplace else if I’m really hungry (Whole Foods around the corner and Chipotle). Sometimes it’s nice just having a coffee shop focus on coffee.
Place is just as big as an average Starbuck’s with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Seats are cushioned leather (pleather maybe?) and comfortable. Sat here for hours doing studying with my headphones in. The employees are super friendly and down to earth, something corporations take away because they robotize their employees. Employees seem to actually enjoy their job here which tells alot about management and the way business is run. Love it here.
I do love Sweet Elle Café as well, and both of these places share my heart.

Very friendly service with tasty beverages. I had a 16oz cup of of their dark roast by Kean Coffee and my wife had an iced caramel latte. They carry a wide variety of bakery items including the always awesome Three Hearts Bakery and a delicious looking waffle ice cream sandwich. I’ll definitely be back!

Kean coffee is good. Reeeaaaalllll good. And they have it here.
They also have three hearts bake shop goods here. Holler!
Service is awesome.
The place is clean and parking is easy.
I do have a suggestion though. Please do not stack your bagels on top of each other. My everything bagel tasted like cinnamon because it was sitting on top of one.

I actually called them ahead of time to find out what chocolate they use in their mochas. I’m picky when it comes to my mochas, and the chocolate has to be a non-​commercial chocolate syrup. The owner (?) told me that they use the best chocolate and make it in-​house. Sold. I’m heading over.
It was pretty empty at 11am on a Sunday with just a few people sitting inside and a couple ordering to go. She was super friendly and outgoing. Drink came out really fast but done well. It was super hot too (something I don’t find that often with mochas actually). The mocha was on the bitter side. You could taste the chocolate but definitely could taste the espresso. Good for people who like a more bitter coffee drink. I enjoyed that it had a good body, wasn’t too milky or weak, and that you could taste the 2 main components. I would definitely support this small business again.

My sister, her friend and I stopped in here before heading to sport chalet. I ordered a small caramel mocha latte with soy. The 12 ounce cup was $ 3.50. It was delicious, not too sweet, and not filled with foam (I hate foam). I loved that it didn’t give a sour after taste. Good coffee.
My sister loved her regular coffee, and our friend liked his jalapeño bagel. The bagel was super huge. This place is easily missed but awesome if you get the chance to check it out. It’s pretty chill inside and would be a great place to study or to use your laptop. The only downside is there is no free WiFi.
