A New Day Thrift Store

As reviewer Blair stated. I too use to LOVE this place, but I just went in there today and oh boy what a disappointment! They barely have two racks of blouses, a whole ton of racks of nothing but jeans (which I never look at). The clothes all looked ratty, used, and ugly. It looked like new girls were working there. Seriously not one thing caught my attention! I was very shocked I walked out of there with nothing. I went to sell my clothes and the girl bought a dress brand new with tags and a very nice never used purse and gave me $ 4, definitely a slap in the face but I took it cause I would have given it away anyway. The must have new employees buying or something cause the place look run down with no selection whatsoever. I hope something changes cause it was one of my favorite places to shop!

Decided to swing by this place just to check it out.
Clothes (⁴⁄₅): they got a variety of clothing which I’m pretty impressed by. Plus their prices are actually decent thrift store prices! Which is a plus! I got a really cute pastel floral dress and a white lace top to go with it because the back of the dress is a bit too exposed for me.
Service (³⁄₅): service was sort of lacking. The guy behind the counter didn’t even greet us as we walked in. He was nice when I went in the dressing room and when I had my items rung up though.
Store (³⁄₅): store was a decent size. Not too big or small. However it was really quiet in the store and they should play some music or something to make it so quiet and awkward.
Pretty glad to get a dress and top for less than $ 11 total though!

Loved this store! Nice little shop to check out when you’re in the beach area. They have lots of cute trendy clothes for a very cheap price!

This is a sad excuse for a thrift store. Clothes are outdated and many are torn. The buyer acts like she is buying for Nordstroms. I took my sons trendy clothes in to be considered for consignment. These were Rip Curl, Mossimo, Reef, Hollister, Billabong… and all in perfect shape. But the snooty buyer passed on most everything but the Jeans, saying she needed «trendy» clothes. FYI… go to Savers… they gladly accepted all of my donations. This place was acting high and mighty when they were located on lower Beach blvd… and they are still that way… ill stick with Savers.

I heard about this business through a neighbor that said they buy your clothes at the time you drop off. Well I was excited to be able to get a few dollars for some very nice clothes after cleaning my closet. A neighbor and I went to go take our stuff and check out the store. Well the «buyer» is not there on Monday so we had to return the next day. The «buyer» was very unpleasant and the huge box I brought in she did not unfold anything. Just took it out of the box and stacked it on the counter and put it back in the box. She told me they are only buying what College students would buy. Well you know I am sure college students like to get dressed up in nice clothes too. So they did not buy anything from me at all. I looked around at the items and were very old and out dated that were hanging in the store and they also had tears and rips and really was not a very good selection. I have been to many Thrift stores and this was the worst with the items they have to offer and the prices were a bit high for even a college student.
Also, my neighbor was not given the full amount to her that was promised. After she figured that the amount paid was incorrect she contact the «buyer» at the store and explained she was minus $ 5.00 for the items they purchased from her and the «buyers» response was «All sales are final. » So we will not be going back there again.

I found some of the best clothes here! I stumbled upon this gem while out with the wife. I was totally surprised at the cleanliness and the way they have everything placed in a tidy manner. I can’t remember the young lady who helped us but she knew the store inside and out. She was a total wealth of information regarding anything and everything we asked to see. I can’t wait to return on another day to see the awesome clothes. This is definitely worth a stop Unilocalers! The other cool thing was the eclectic selection of odds and ends available at this store. Very impressive! The staff or owners really know their business. To be honest I’m not a huge shopper but I will be visiting this place on a regular basis.

This place is a small store, but I ended up buying some cute clothes!
However, I want to review customer service here. I went with my friend and was carrying some clothes walking around. This blonde girl who worked there was pretty unfriendly. She kept glaring at me wherever I was. When I was waiting for my friend by her room she stood about 5 ft away from me, staring the whole time! How awkward is that?! I’m not sure why she’d think I was going to steal, but it made me extremely uncomfortable. Although this store has cool stuff, I won’t return cause this girl doesn’t know how to treat customers.

Great thrift store! Lots of clothes to choose from and large dressing rooms. I thought some of there stuff was a bit over priced for a thrift store (that may be just me) but you can definitely find some amazing stuff here for $ 2 or less!

Not the biggest thrift store, but one of the cleanest and SO NICELY ORGANIZED. clothes are organized by sizes, and for the most part, medium with medium, pants, size 33, 34, etc all correctly labeled AND categorized!
I bought 2 high –end Levis at a great price and $.99 T-​shirt. Can’t beat that

Really reasonable and affordable on prices for women and men on clothes and shoes. No kids stuff to sell. Some items like books, toys, and simple stuffs to sell. Overall, really friendly and great experience.

I can’t begin to express how much I love a new day thrift store.
But let me try…
First of all they are super amazing and non profit[?] don’t quote me on that one. I know that they are Christian though so I’m assuming the money from this shop is helping someone, somewhere.
They have really good deals and good quality for their clothes. It isn’t over crowded like other thrift stores you may stumble upon. This one is actually very reasonable in pricing too. It is easier to sort through and go through faster. I hope this place stays open forever.

Huge fan of this place for selling, and random $ 1 come ups! Been coming here since 2014. They buy and sell women/​men clothes, accessories, shoes, furniture ($ 3.99-$ 5.99 for items). However, they have way more items for ladies. You can trade for credit or cash. Crazy $ 1 clothing rack!!! Found some really rad, clean items!
They buy clothes, accessories, shoes for men and women. 10am-​2pm Wed-​Saturday.
They now have some heels, and collecting more. They probably need more purses and accessories. They have changing stalls. Don’t expect to make bank here, but great place to bring your items to sell in case you plan to donate anyways.
Quality of items: Causal clothing. Like an organized garage sale of decent items. Its not a Crossroads or such much more snobby establishments (I do love Crossroads though, but sometimes I want to shop something under $ 15). I wouldn’t say the items are the most trendy, but great for day to day clothes and way better than other thrift store — again, its still a thrift store! But you’ll be surprised with what you find. I love unique styles, and such and always seem to find something here — I think the demographic here just doesn’t agree much with my style? Works for me!
Staff: Awesome and super nice. They’re really helpful, offering to help carry any bags of clothes I plan to sell (probably since still recovering from surgery).
This store is on the corner by 7-​Eleven store with private free parking, located across from the new Dunkin Donuts.
This place was alot closer when I was in the OC alot. I still make the trek and drive here all the way from Los Feliz. I get the chance to get soak in some beach breeze at the same time.

I am writing this on behalf of my BF, who always manages to find something cool whenever we are here… jealous. So far he has found a pixellated Star Wars logo shirt, a maroon varsity jacket that I am going to «borrow,» and several other shirts. I haven’t bought anything from here yet, but the girl’s selection is pretty good too.
Most recently we came to sell a bunch of clothes, after being unsuccessful at Buffalo Exchange (line too long!) and Plato’s Closet (only took a single cardigan). Their buying hours are only from WED — SAT 10−2pm. Since it’s a smaller store and less picky, our wait was only 10 minutes, and we left with $ 30. That’s not much, but it was a lot better than the measly $ 3.50 from Plato’s. We donated the rest.
Prices are dirt cheap, and they have $.99 tag sales too! Who knows what you’ll dig up?

I have purchased some cute h & m items from here before, and I had such a great experience! The young lady working was very sweet and helpful. This place has some awesome gems! But I never knew that they bought clothing.
I took one in one bag they took some items and I made about 11 dollars for 6 items.
It’s not much but it’s better than nothing. I was going to donate that clothing anyway.

This has to be the coolest little thrift shop I know of. It is family owned family operated and they’re always friendly and have a really clean store. You can pick up jeans there for 5 or 6 bucks a pair no ridiculous markup no broken items just good quality stuff at a good fair price not like the big Place Salvation Army or goodwill who will sell broken items at top dollar. This place also buys things from you at a good price I definitely would recommend this thrift store to anybody who likes a real bargain.

Very clean little store but definitely more geared toward female customers. Some clothes for men but not much. I was able to find a 2013 Seattle Mariners all star hat which was a treat but I hoping to come across more. Two cashiers where on duty when I stopped by and both were helpful.

Selling: Only accepted from 10am-​2pm from Wednesday thru Saturday and you get 30% of the value in cash. Since all their stuff are hella cheap, you won’t get much back! I brought in a GIANT bag of stuff that Buffalo Exchange, Plato’s Closet, & Crossroads didn’t want and got $ 20 back. Not bad… considering I was going to donate them anyway.
Buying: Not a great selection, but very organized by size. From what I’ve seen, their clothes sell for $ 7 at most. There’s a $ 1 sale rack too! Choices are more like Salvation Army. but still ok?! There are some good brands, but you gotta really look. It’s very random… like how I saw some Forever 21, GAP, Lush, H&M, Nike. and then there’s work t-​shirts from Boudin’s & 24 Hr Fitness. wth?
Overall, service is friendly and selling is easy. I’d come back to sell?!

I like that they’re sorted by sizes rather by color like other thrift stores. I tried on plenty of shirts and dresses that they had in my size but I just got a black sequined shirt for $ 3 with the tag still on with $ 50 original price.
The place was clean and organized. They do have fitting rooms and they take card. Small parking lot though.

Been wanting to check this place out, and I’m so glad I finally did! It’s not too far from my house, and such a cute little shop. Will definitely be coming here more often.
I’ve shopped at Plato’s Closet, Salvation Army, and Crossroads, but this place is kind of a cross inbetween all of those. I can’t even shop at Buffalo Exchange, the stuff there is more expensive than if I paid for new clothes! I really have gotten into thrift stores recently and this is a good place for a wide selection and reasonably priced clothes. I don’t think they filter their clothes, so its a little bit like the Salvation Army (for example: I saw a Chase bank teller collar shirt), but they actually have pretty good stuff! Good amount of shirts, shorts, skirts, pants, sweaters, and dresses. I saw a lot of H&M, Forever 21, or brands you would find at Macy’s. Nothing over the top expensive or brand named. They actually separate each article of clothing, and also individually separate them by size. Even the clearance rack is separated by size! Hardly ever see that happening. Not too large of a selection for shoes or accessories, but if you are here for clothes, not a bad place to check out!
I was looking through and they have a lot of stuff at the clearance rack, and everything is marked down to $.99! I even asked the person that rang me up if that’s a special going on this weekend or something, and he said they always have stuff for $.99. I ended up finding a pair of shorts and two sweaters in the clearance rack. One of the sweaters is a GAP sweater too.
Good amount of dresses, like 2 or 3 racks of dresses — perfect for spring and summer coming in. Great selection, ended up finding a dress I like too — $ 6.99. Not bad, not bad. Pretty good condition on the clothes.
They also played a country station while I was there. I don’t mind it too much, but I thought that was interesting and uncommon. People also really nice, and I like that they don’t really bother you while shopping, haha! But they were helpful when I tried to try on the clothes and got rung up. 3 fitting rooms — limit of 6 items per visit. The only thing is I wish they had two hooks to hang rather than the one that they had. I usually have a hook for the clothes I want to keep and a hook for clothes I don’t like. But I can’t complain, everything worked out, and now I have a few more articles of clothing!
BTW, they take Discover card!

Small thrift store, that you can also sell items too and I believe put things on consignment as well. Definitely a place of odds and ends, mainly women’s clothing but you can also find some good items too. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I like it because it isn’t an overbearing amount of clothing to look through which makes it easier for the shopper.
I just wish they had more of a shoe selection and didn’t play country music.
