Aussie Pet Mobile Surf City

I needed an available cat groomer asap but everywhere i called were already booked for the day, didnt groom cats or werent accepting new clients. I finally settled for a cat groomer down the street but they werent available until next day. On my way home i couldnt stop thinking of my cats hating car rides and Luckily i recalled seeing the Aussie pet mobile driving around town on multiple outings. The groomers that i had an apt with were going to charge $ 85+ so i had nothing to lose.
I decided to give aussie pet mobile a call and was greeted by Pete, the owner. I explained that i needed one cat shaved and nails trimmed and my other cat just nails trimmed. He asked me some questions as to why i wanted the cat shaved (which i explained because of the shedding) and he responded with some great information as to why the cat was shedding and that he did not recommend the shave but instead a deshedding bathing service and that shaving would be more appropriate closer to summer time. He took down my info and informed me there was a cancellation and he would call the groomer. I received a call back shortly and was able to get an apt half hour from then. He also recommended since one of my cats is skiddish to keep him in the bathroom, which i didnt think about and definetly helped when the groomer arrived.
Elijah came right on time, with her own carrier (thankfully because mine were sitting outside needing to be washed). She was wonderful! I was very nervous that the skiddish cat would scratch her but she knew what she was doing and got him in the cage just fine. My other cat went in cautiously and gave no problems. She finished the skiddish cats nails in under 10 minutes and took my friendlier cat to get bathed. About half hour she brought my kitty back smelling so fresh and the coat feeling lighter!
In the end i spent $ 95 and added on extra for tip. Hopefully it lasts at least 2 months until i have to call them back but i am so glad i found them! And although i am spending more at this mobile groomer than if i took them myself, the convenience, less stress for my cats and myself, and the excellent team of Pete and Elijah are worth it!!! Thank you both again!

I have used Aussie Mobile Pet Grooming services for my two wire fox terriers for several months now and on my first review I gave then five stars for their service, however, when I telephoned Pete today, the company owner, to make another appointment but only for one dog because we lost our female last month, he told me the cost would be $ 110.00 just for one dog instead of $ 75.00 or $ 8000. I felt this was above the standard for the service and he indicated that he did not make any money on the last visit because it took his groomer four hours to groom the two dogs and that they had some mats in their fur. This makes no sense to me because how does he really know how long the groomer was here. He is only taking her word for that, plus I have no control on how speedy the groomer is and/​or what she is spending her time doing out in the van for so long. Plus, I always make sure both dogs were well brushed out. So, they may have had a couple of mats, but isn’t that what a groomer is for? When I told Pete that I would be finding another groomer and am not going to use his service in the future, his comment was «well, just how much are you willing to spend?» I felt this question was totally inappropriate and told him so. Don’;t use this company. Their pricing is way too high for the service, plus the prices are never as quoted when they are finished with the dogs. Just because I now only have one dog to be groomed, Pete decides I am just not worth it as a client. That sucks and so does this company.

I used this Co. twice. I have two small dogs. The first visit was a bath and cut on my Pom and Corky mix and bath only on my Chawhawha. And I was very happy. second visit I couldn’t believe the difference. It was the same treatment as there first visit bath and cut. My dogs smelled as bad as they did before there bath my Chawhawha did nothing but yep all the time they was bathing her. Her anal area was beat red and i should of went out there and stopped the service but they won’t be back here for sure. I called the owner and he informed me they did the same kind of service as the first time and the girl that worked on my dogs was a vets assented and was good with her clients. My dogs smelled bad and was very stressed when that girl got done. Be careful I was very unhappy with the service and disappointed in how the owner handle the situation. For what it cost me!!!

I just wanted to update on this business, since my last one was two years ago.
This place is STILL AWESOME! Our now 5-​year-​old Bean gets her annual lion cut from them on the regular now. Each time, the groomer is right on time, has a great attitude, and is super patient with my kitty.
I still highly recommend this place!

While talking one day with a good friend she mentioned mobile grooming for one of my very nervous, high strung cats (he also has IBD). He is white and our house looks like the north pole on most days. He’s also attracted to ANYONE who enters the house wearing black!
Long story short. My friend’s groomer was not available in our area so I found Pete @Aussie’s Pets on Unilocal!and made an appointment. Lauren showed up in her Pet Mobile that remained parked outside of our house while Mykal got «the works.» I had to look aside (although I did peek once) as I know Myke likes ferminating up unto a point and then he is provoked to bite — not hard just enough to let you know «I’m done.» I wish I could have asked him how he liked the whirlpool bath, lol!
Nonetheless, 45 minutes later Mykal emerged ready to walk the Red Carpet. When we opened his crate he meandered out, not not fearful and almost seemed relieved someone had done the work he couldn’t complete (he’s always cleaning himself). It was a GREAT EXPERIENCE and once I expect to continue with Pete, Lauren and Aussie Pets for as long as they are around. After grooming our home is almost cat hair free for at least a month and my husband is VERY HAPPY.
P. S. Be sure and ask for Lauren. Today is our third grooming and Mykal made no
fuss whatsoever to get into his crate and be groomed.

I’m not exactly a fan of getting groomed, what with my innate hatred of getting wet or poked and prodded by strangers — brings back traumatic memories of the time they cut my balls off. But Leuren was great! I was my usual spaz, shrieking and flipping out, but she patiently persevered until she clipped all my nails and I was bathed, scrubbed, brushed, conditioned and all spiffied out. I even tricked her into getting daddy to give me some chicken. Two woofs for Leuren!
