Description

Specialties

I focus on building a sound foundation on the snare drum (rudimental/orchestral) and developing versatility on the drum set. My aim is to develop the individual so that their imagination and creativity can be expressed to the fullest on the instrument.

No matter what you’d like to do, from rock grooves to blast beats to be-bop, I can help you along your drumming journey. Keeping good time, song form, music theory, and playing in the pocket are all taught, but I also like to tailor my lessons to suit your individual needs and tastes (and most importantly keep it fun!).

I currently teach at my studio in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, teaching drum lessons to students from the Hatboro, Warminster, Doylestown, Huntingdon Valley, and Fort Washington areas.

History

Established in 2011.

I’m graduate of Lebanon Valley College and have been performing as a professional drummer for 15 years. My performance experience includes the LVC marching band, percussion ensemble, small jazz ensemble and touring big band. While at college, I studied under Sammy Korey, Robert «Bob» Nowak (principle percussionist for the Reading Symphony Orchestra) and with Berklee School of Music professor, Joe Hunt (drummer for Stan Getz and Bill Evans).

Outside of academia, I’ve also performed professionally with the acclaimed percussion ensemble, Trash Time, and Hershey Park’s Halloween themed rock group, Howling at the Moon. I’ve also shared the stage with such varied artists as saxophonist Tim Warfield, Halestorm, Less Than Jake, and Type O Negative.
