PennDOT Photo & Exam Center

They do not pass anyone on their druvers exam here espicially tony. This is insane and needs to be stopped they need to start firing. They need to start laying people off. All people want is their drivers license. I knkw someone who took their test here and they did everything perfect and i watched them take ig and tony failed them and they went home and cried what is up with this like seriously come on people it shouldnt be this hard to schedule a test. Also it takes so long to schedule a test. I need my license for work and they have not granted me one yet. J cant believe them im losing money because of them. My über bill was $ 800 last month because i was not able to drive for work and i lost money because i could not drive.

This is the 5^th PennDOT location I’ve been to in the past several weeks trying to transfer my license into PA. Believe me, they don’t make it easy or convenient. This location is modern, digital, efficient and every employe with whom I interacted was friendly, professional & helpful. Total breathe of fresh air PennDOT! All of your locations and employees should take lessons from these folks.

If you come on a weekend, expect to be there more than an hour.
I went just to get my driver’s license photo. I had the card and was all prepared to go.
They are slow as snails in processing.
Once you get to your photo they are nice.
The location is also not real clean and seating is disorganized.

Wait times were average, but the customer service here was great. The employees I talked to helped me get what I needed while also making me laugh.

I don’t know if this DMV location is par for the course for Pennsylvania DMVs, so I can only compare them to the ones in California. That being said, this one was excellent. I was getting my PA driver’s license and it was completely painless. I showed up expecting the worst on a Saturday morning, and was out of there in under an hour. I’ve spent literally all day at the DMV’s in California only to leave annoyed or unhelped. This place was great. The people who helped me all knew exactly what they were doing and everything was super smooth. Definitely recommend.

By far the best DMV I have ever been to. This one is further than the Norristown one to my home, but worth the longer drive to go there. Whenever I have gone in to renew my license I have never waited long than 30 minutes. Surprising since I went on a Saturday at 11:30 and I was expecting to be there for an hour or so. Also the place where you print the ticket for the reason you are there was well marked and the staff was nice and efficient. Also was much more cleanly than the Norristown location.

Whoa, I can’t believe that this DMV was off the Unilocal map and therefore has never been reviewed. I’m probably about to jinx myself here, but I would argue that this is among the best DMVs, insomuch as there are good DMVs. I originally got my license here, back in the Paleolithic Era, and have come here to get my license renewed 2 of the 3 times I have had to do so.
The process for getting a new photo taken here when your license expires is pretty painless. I was greeted at the door by a worker who saw that I was (as per usual) confused, and helped me to find and press the giant button that says «press this giant button if you need a new photo taken.» I then waited for about 10 minutes until my number came up, and the person who helped me was very pleasant and efficient. After we finished with the 5 min of processing my request, I waited another 5 min, was given my card and was outta here.
Maybe it’s because I always hear «abandon all hope, ye who enter here» horror stories about the DMV and was therefore expecting a bad experience, but I have to say that my overall experience was very positive. Will definitely come here the next time I need a DMV.
