I have eaten here approximately 10 times in the past 10 years and I think over that period it has changed ownership a few times. Stopped in here on a Saturday night @ 8:00 and it was quiet as has been the case is the past. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe. The person who took my order, who may have been an owner, told me how fresh and good their fish was. He was not kidding. Honestly, this was the 2nd best Sashimi dish I have had in the Philadelphia area. Fish was fresh and melt I’m your mouth. The presentation was nice and my only wish was that there might have been a little more variety such as Octopus or some seaweed salad but the fish was delicious. What was really and indicator of the care they put into there sushi is the small bowel of rice that came with the dinner. If you eat at a lot of Sushi restaurants you come to learn that there is a huge range in the quality of the rice. This place was top notch. The person who took out order(wish I got his name) came back to the table several times to check if we were pleased and we had a discussion about the rice. He stated that they have worked 5± years to get the rice recipe down to how they make it now and it shows. Kudos to you and your staff, I will be back.

Ordered General tso, white rice, egg roll and crispy noodles. One of the best in the area. Wife got vegetable fried rice. Rice was fluffy. Chicken was tender and well seasoned. Egg roll good. Recommended. The ordering process was fine. The interior décor was nice and clean. The exterior décor could have been modernized but not a huge deal. Check this place out.

Love Wild Ginger Excellent Service Too. I also want to add anyone who can say anything negative about this place I would consider hard to please people. It is a very very good restaurant.

My first time ordering and it was pretty great. I got the Thai fried rice which was amazing and you get a lot of it. I got spicy but I really should have gotten extra spicy. Silly me. For sushi I decided on the black dragon roll and it was fantastic. I usually don’t like eel on my sushi but this was pretty good. It is pretty pricy but not bad for when I want to treat myself! Which is often

I hate to say it, but I threw away my menu. The last few times I ordered were exceptionally bad– greasy, flavorless, basically just another bad take-out place. I really do hate to say it– I had loved Natural Village and regularly drug people from out of town there.

I never give out such a low score unless it is warranted. My family was gifted food from here as I am going through a medical treatment. We(a family of four) picked out 4 appetizers with four of each and one large soup we divided. I was trying to be economical because this was a gift. It still seemed expensive compared to other places. The food was a disappointment. The shrimp tempura had too much bread crumb on them but over all not bad. The spareribs were thin. And the chicken Satay had no peanut taste. The dumplings were way too thick. They need to be again half as much dough. It came off as lazy. And they used the same dumplings in the in Wonton soup?! The Wontons need to be light and gentle folds and spice in the middle. Again roll out that dough. If you want to be a Japanese restaurant than be one. Don’t pretend you can justify serving Chinese food.

Absolutely love the sushi here! The staff is very friendly. I think some of the waiters could be a bit more attentive, I’ve had an experience of waiting longer than I felt I should. The place is BYOB which is nice. Décor is pretty. Overall a nice place for a night out.

I’ve only been here a few times but this place rocks! My friend is a regular and introduced me to this spot for the first time a few weeks ago and I just went for my second time. The staff is attentive and friendly, and it’s a cozy spot. My favorite is the vegan general tso’s chicken served with fried rice. The«chicken» is crispy on the out and moist on the inside. The fried rice is also awesome. They make it perfect! You can’t really go wrong here. Everything I’ve had here is delicious. There’s this vegan chicken salad that they had that is to die for! Can’t wait to go back!

Did take out salmon sashimi and spicy tuna rolls. The sashimi was great quality. Spicy tuna wasn’t bad, a little bit mushy but maybe that’s how it was supposed to be. Delicious ! Happy with my order

Wild Ginger is a great alternative when you are looking for a place for a quiet meal, attended by a friendly staff. The food is fine. The interior is charming in an un-self-conscious way. We have been here several times and though it is not perhaps our first choice, we have always felt it was a good choice.

STOMACHFIRE I understand people make mistakes. But when they get your to-go order wrong you think they would understand the urgency of making things right ASAP since the part of the order they got right is rapidly getting cold and turning into more like leftovers than the Friday treat that was planned. Ya think that they would let the rest of our order(that they forgot to put in) jump the cue — But our 25 minutes wait for egg rolls was longer than the 20 minutes for our original order and no one even said sorry for this mistake– not once. Finally getting the rest of the order we drove home. I thought back to the last time we ate at the Wild Ginger and the two of us ordered 4 appetizers and an entrée. I remembered the young man waiting on us saying, «you want more rice?» when we went through the 1 cup of rice we were given(you get a pint when you order this entrée to go). I didn’t say anything when I saw the $ 1.50 additional charge on our bill for rice. These problems are the front of the house I thought– the mistakes and over charging … at least the food is still good. Not Any More– when we got home and sat down to enjoy our cold food(and we really thought it would still be enjoyable) our stiff little scallion pancakes were black on one side giving them not much more flavor than charcoal. Honestly we tried to eat some of them because by this time we were really hungry. But the worst was the(one pepper) mildly hot spiced(yet cold to the touch) entrée we order and started to scarfed down way too fast. It was so overly spiced that it was like a volcano erupting out of my stomach. By the time I knew what was happening — that I just swallowed several mouthfuls of lava– my stomach was throwing it back out. I was on fire from my stomach through my chest and into my mouth. Even though most of it came up almost instantaneously the burning wouldn’t stop and I had to get it out of me. So for my encore I used my two-fingered friend to rid myself of this horrible meal. Now that the front and the back of the house(kitchen) are both a bad bet, I would not recommend stopping in for careless, unapologetic, price-gouging treatment and burnt or very over spiced(stomach fire) carelessly made disappointing food. p. s. be warned: this was a vegan meal. I shudder at the thought of what they do to meat.

New Wild Ginger is just delicious, with an extensive menu both for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. It’s so good to have a great place to go that will satisfy everyone’s preference. There has been a change in ownership a few months ago; the food is exceptional now, and the co-owner is as nice as they come. They are willing to adjust to your tastes and special requests. The prices are very reasonable.

As a vegan, Wild Ginger is my go-to place whenever I am in town. I usually call in an order when I’m leaving the airport and pick it up before I get to my family’s house. I love the vegan general Tso chicken. Even my family, who are not at all vegan, have happily enjoyed it with me on occasion. My husband usually orders the Golden Pond, which is crispy seitan(wheat protein) in spicy sweet and sour sauce. The prices are moderate, but you get a ton of food. Usually one order feeds me two meals.

It’s still awesome here – possibly even better. The staff is different and completely welcoming and attentive. The sushi chef is always welcoming us back and recognizing us as good repeat customers. He’s been giving us complimentary salads the last few times we’ve gone and coupons that don’t expire. These little things really make a difference to us. It makes us feel like they want our business & we’re happy to give it to them. Thanks for being awesome! Our favorite Asian restaurant to go to.

I love this place. I’ve been to the Jamison location which is equally as good, and my friends and I have ordered delivery from Huntingdon Valley to work. Today I took a «dinner box» to go of Sesame Chicken as well as some appetizers. Everything was awesome and the dinner box was so nice. Really tasty and affordable. (I’ve also eaten there on a Sunday for lunch with a friend. Quality seems consistent thus far.)

I’m an avid user of Unilocal but not one for writing reviews on here. With the experience I just had at Wild Ginger, I had to write to warn people that this place is a rip off. Let’s get this straight… I HAD to rate this place a one star. If I could have rated«zero» stars I would have. I live nearby and saw some great reviews so I decided to try their takeout. My girlfriend and I spent $ 45 on their Phoenix & Dragon Fly Together(entrée), Sizzling Seafood Combination(entrée), Shrimp Tempura(app) and Fried Dumplings(app) . First, the Phoenix & Dragon. Description says«Two dishes in one. Tangy shrimp and General Tso’s chicken.» Well, there was litterally ONE small shrimp and the rest chicken. Wow. I would not call one piece of shrimp it’s own dish. I do have to say the ONLY thing I liked was how large and juicy the chicken was. Second, the Sizzling Seafood Combination. Description says«Shrimp, scallops, lobster tail, w/garden vegetables.» Were do I begin… There was 4 pieces of shrimp, 4 pieces of small thin scallops, and the lobster tail… Let’s just say more like a crawfish tail. Yes, I know, this is a Chinese/Japanese/Tai place but come on. This meal was was basically all vegetables! Third, we ordered fried rice with BOTH meals and they gave us BROWN rice for both. Last but not least, I called back immediately after noticing the food and I was told by the guy answering the phone, «It is what it is. What you get is what you get» and then proceeded to laugh over the phone! That was it. I hung up and just HAD to write this review immediately. So all in all. I’m left frustrated, hungry, and $ 45 dollars lighter in my pocket. Steer away from this dump at all costs.

I’m torn. I stopped by Wild Ginger a few months back when I was in town and absolutely starving. I had always heard great things but didn’t really know what to expect. On that particular trip, I got takeout and ordered some insane triple delight type veggie dish with fake beef, chicken, and maybe ham. The vegetables were flavorful and perfectly cooked, the fake meats were expertly seasoned and textured, and everything was copasetic aside from the slightly inflated price tag. The food was, in fact, so good that If this had been my only visit, we’d be looking at a likely five star experience. I went by last night and things were a little bit different. The air conditioner was broken, the ice machine didn’t work, and the majority of staff members hadn’t shown up for their shifts. I know this because the slightly surly waitress went out of her way to tell me. I also know that. while she was the only server working, there were only a few tables so it shouldn’t have been a big deal. Anyway, the service was slow, we had to ask for complimentary noodles, the beverages were warm, and, overall, the whole experience, food included, was just mediocre. I might give Wild Ginger another go next time I’m in town but I certainly won’t come running.
