Kramer OB Gyn & Associates

I heard about this office from a friend of mine. She was bragging about how excellent Dr. Kramer is. I was in the market for a new doctor because I changed insurances and my current doctor doesn’t take my new insurance.
I’ve been to this office twice and have had 3 phone conversations and I must say this office is HORRIBLE. The amount of unprofessionalism is astonishing. I should of known when it took me over a week just to get in touch with someone to make my initial appointment. I showed up for that appointment and was half heartedly greeted by a receptionist with the biggest frown on her face. It was more than obvious that she didn’t want to be there. She checks me in and I’m called back a short while later and meet Dr. Belder. He was awesome and seemed very nice. We discussed my issues and him possibly putting me on Metformin for my PCOS. He told me that he wants to hold off because it’s not safe to take while nursing. He then tells me to make a follow up for 6 months. I made the appointment as directed and left.
6 months comes and I go back and walk up to the reception desk and am greeted by the same grumpy receptionist. She barely looks at me and tells me to sit down after checking me in. I do so and am shortly called back by a nurse. She then asks me very rudely why I’m there. I proceed to tell her that at my first initial appointment the doctor told me to come back in 6 months and I made the appointment before I left. She then glances at the other nurse and then tells me that the doctor had in my chart that he wanted to see me in a year. I told her that I wouldn’t be there if I wasn’t told to be there. I told her to talk to the doctor and see what he says and that I have no problem rescheduling but he was the one who told me to come back in 6 months. A few minutes later I’m placed in his office to talk to him. I mentioned my PCOS and Metformin again and he tells me that he did NOT tell me that it wasn’t safe while nursing. I remember the original conversation in detail because I remember looking it up while in my car before I left. He then tells me to get an ultrasound for my PCOS. They also did some blood work and I was told to call in a few days for the results. I then ask him if there is an easier way to get in touch with someone because I tried to call to ask a question and couldn’t get through. He then proceeds to tell me that «it’s hit or miss and that I have to just keep trying because there is not an answering machine or call center.» I mean really!!! How unreliable is that.
He calls me a few days later and is very nice and gives me my blood work results. I called a few days after that and miraculously reached someone and ask for them to fax my blood work over to my primary. The girl assured me it would be done. Surprise surprise when I arrived at my primary it wasn’t there. Luckily my primary was able to log onto Quest and retrieve it themselves.
Dr Belder called me a few weeks later to give me My ultrasound results. I then asked him to fax it to my primary. He told me that I had to log onto my patient portal and print it out myself!!!
I’ve only seen and spoken to the one doctor and he is VERY nice and for the amount of patients they do see (one of the few doctors that accepts certain welfare insurances. I’m told that 90% of their patients have Health Partners) (I don’t have Health Partners) I can understand how sometimes he may need reminding about what was discussed.
However the whole office staff needs a huge overhaul. They are incompetent, rude and LAZY. How can you not fax results. It’s one of the simplest things an office can do. It’s not difficult. If they completely change their staff, start answering the phones and implement either a call center or answer machine than I may consider making this my permanent doctor. For the time being I’m stuck until I can get other insurance but once I do I will be returning to my previous doctor.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because Dr. Belder is very nice.

I had a high risk pregnancy and delivered 9 weeks early in 2013. Dr. Goldstein referred me to a high risk doctor at Holy Redeemer who I saw concurrently and he was more caring and involved than they seemed to be. Ended up being admitted to HRH a month before I delivered and Dr. Goldstein took the time to explain everything that was happening, what they were doing and why. I spent a month in L&D and he made sure I stayed in L&D because of the level of care I needed at the time. I would highly recommend!

The medical care & gentleness of Dr. Devlin are excellent. However, I must concur with those who say the office staff leave MUCH to be desired. Have had 2 incidents in the several years been using this practice. In July 2012 I was there early for my annual exam but the doctor didn’t come until about 15 minutes after the appointment time — and the office was locked up. I discovered that she was covering the OR and was surprised that I was there since appointments were supposedly rescheduled. I advised I had NEVER received any phone messages advising of any problems. She called the other office to give them what-​for about not calling me — and she graciously accommodated me regarding my exam — much appreciated since was in a probationary period for a job had recently started. Fast forward to 8:34 am today when someone from their staff (didn’t catch her name) called on my cell phone to unilaterally move back my appointment tomorrow from 8:45AM to 9:45AM claiming they changed their office hours to start @ 9:00AM and said this was the earliest appointment available. To me this is BS — and I feel it totally unacceptable to change an appointment at the last minute since am sure they didn’t change office hours on a whim. (Of course if it’s an emergency, it’s an entirely different manner.) I respect other persons’ time and I expect that same courtesy likewise. I’m @ a new employer in center city Philadelphia with limited time off and do not have the luxury of easily changing appointments — particularly in a small office. As it is was lucky to be granted to take ½ sick day off — my start time @ my employer is 8:30AM. I wrote this down how the office staff treated me today in a note I plan to give to the doctor tomorrow — am considering also telling my primary care provider about this incident (his office is upstairs in the same building). This stuff about the appointment is also possibly aggravating other health issues am being treated for. Depending on what happens tomorrow I may change/​update this review — and may consider shopping for another doctor with an office staff that is more considerate of my personal needs. IMO, if the office sfaff can not be sensitive to the needs of patients who have limited options for rescheduling appointments due to work issues, they should be all fired and replaced by staffers who have that compassion — am sure there are plenty of qualified unemployed potential staffers who would jump @ the chance to service patients. (BTW my primary care provider’s office staff [Dr. Michael Palazzolo] is fabulous and keeps me in the loop; likewise, the office manager for my pet’s vet [Rockledge Veterinary Clinic]).

Not recommended for high risk pregnancy. Fine for normal pregnancy. Busy office but the doctors they are all nice.

Worst receptionists ever! Extremely rude! Took me 15 minutes to even get someone to answer the phone. Then, she was very disrespectful in telling me that my appointment was at the other location even though I made the appointment for this location!

I am a new patient to this practice and have heard amazing things about the doctors.
It’s true Dr. Goldstein was great, however, the lack of organization of the office staff is unbelievable. First, you can’t reach anyone there. They don’t have a voicemail system. They called ME to reschedule my appointment and when I called them right back, no one picks up and there is no voicemail to leave the message. When I finally reached someone after waiting for 10 minutes, she said that they do not have a voicemail system and that the phones keep ringing non-​stop… OBVIOUSLY if you don’t have a voicemail system people will keep calling. Get a voicemail system and your phone calls will be cut in half.
Also, when I was there for my first appointment, multiple nurses asked me the same questions, even though they stood RIGHT NEXT to each other while the first was asking questions. They couldn’t input in the numbers correctly into the system. I just could not believe that I was in a professional setting and saw all of this.

Dr. Kramer is a caring and down to earth doctor. He’s patient and compassionate. I had an abnormal pap years ago, my old doctor recommended a hysterectomy. I was 28 at the time. I then sought out a second opinion from Dr. Kramer. He did not agree. I’ve seen him ever since. He has always gone above and beyond for me. But this is his way as a doctor. I have family and friends who see him. I highly recommend.

I have to say that Dr. Kramer is a dream. He is so caring and attentive to his patients.
I have been seeing him for a long time now. The wait is a little long but totally worth it.
