World Impex Inc

bought a part back in 2013, then their site/​business went through a reformat and still to this day never got my part
for the world impex guys tried contacting however to no avail, would consider a re-​write if the situation is resolved, also they changed the pricing of the part and still havent gotten refund

I’m not a local, but I had a great experience with Wil at Impex. I mail ordered a Diesel Injection Pump ($ 1400) for my 2003 Jetta. The website said it was new. Turns out it wasn’t and my mechanic said he would prefer to use a pump that he knew about the innards (seals, etc.). I plead my case with Wil and he refunded me all but the original shipping cost which I thought was more than fair. I’ll be buying more stuff from them in the future.

A sad state of affairs. I have been ordering parts from Impex for nearly 10 years. It was great being able to order by part number and get dealer only items delivered to my door. I’ve also come to many of the social events they held at their warehouse.
Sadly it seems those days are over. They have stopped answering the phone and email, but they will still take your money on the website! I tried to pick up items that were listed as in stock, but less then half was actually available. After a week of no contact I’ve filed a chargeback with my bank. Sad.

They were great at one point in time. Unfortunately their best employee recently left the company and the business has rapidly deteriorated.
I placed a parts order two weeks ago, which has not been filled. The company has not replied, they don’t answer their email or phones, and the shop is locked up.
I drove up there and knocked on the loading dock door, greeted by a gentleman who seemed surprised that I showed up there. I asked for the parts that I had ordered since they had already charged my credit card for them. Unfortunately, not all of the parts were in stock despite being listed as IN STOCK on their website. He promised to ship the remainder of my order out within a couple of days. It’s been a week and a half since them with no other response from the company.
I am now filing a credit card dispute for the parts that were not delivered. Rumor has it that Impex is closing for good… it’s a shame to lose a good local parts source due to mismanagement.

I just wanted to update this thread. I had a phone conversation with Doug, the new owner of World Impex and explained the circumstances surrounding my order with the old owners of the company. Doug was very friendly and understanding of the situation and offered to make things right. Today, a package arrived in the mail containing all of the missing items from our order.
So, a big shout out to Doug and the new World Impex for cleaning up the mess of the previous owners. His time and understanding is much appreciated.

These guys are great! If you need parts for a Mercedes/​BMW/​Audi/​VW, these are the guys to call! I have always been treated fairly at World Impex and their prices are extremely competitive to what you would find on the internet.
On a recent 40k service with my 2011 Jetta TDI, I was quoted $ 795.00 by the local dealer. I had the work completed a service facility recommended by World Impex and with their parts for just over $ 400.00.
