Hunt Valley Autoworks

The team at Hunt Valley Autoworks is wonderful. After years of taking our cars to the dealership, I decided to try a local shop. Glad I did. They are more honest and less expensive than the same service I was getting previously. Straight forward work in a timely fashion. Highly recommeded.

This is an amazing car shop. I’ve had a coolant flush, transmission flush, and some belts replaced here.
Every time I can comfortably tell them that «I think this is the issue, but if it’s something else, feel free to repair/​service whatever it is.» They never pull out random stuff to be replaced. It’s always very fair and well-​priced (cheapest place for all of the above in Hunt Valley).
Anyway, the best part is that they’re extremely nice/​pleasant people. They really are trying to help you out and you don’t feel like they’re ever trying to take advantage of you.
Update:
Took off one star. They looked at my exhaust today, quoted me $ 700, and then charged $ 40 to check it out (which I was told wouldn’t cost anything). Still very nice and friendly, I think exhausts might just not be their cup of tea. I went to a Monro Muffler and Brake. They did it for $ 250.

I work pretty close to this place so it’s really nice to just drop off my car in the morning and have it worked on and be ready for me to go home. I’ve used them to replace a valve cover gasket, timing belt and water pump. When I had the timing belt done it did throw a check engine light after it was completed but I took it back to them and they resolved the issue. Would recommend them.
I also took my girlfriend’s car here for an issue it was having and they just said the problem was with the throttle body and recommended I take it to the Dodge Dealer and didn’t charge me at all for that one. Which sounded fair.
