Expresscare of Padonia

I went in on a Tuesday evening around 7:40 PM with the symptoms of a high fever and a cough. At first, I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly, shortly after arriving, I got extremely weak and began to vomit (I believe that this was due to my fever breaking and over exerting myself). However, as time went on, I didn’t feel that they were really focusing on all of the symptons that I told them about, they were more focused on my nausea, which had only happened shortly after arriving and went away quickly and was never the reason that I went in. Also, as time went on, I was told 3 or 4 times that they closed at 9:00 PM. At this point, I started to feel that they were priotizing the closing time over my health. They diagnosed me with a virus and dehydration and told me that if I got worse I should go to my doctor or the ER. The next morning I woke up with a 104.7 degree fever and decided that I needed to go to the ER. They ordered a chest XRay and quickly diagnosed me with pneumonia, which the PA at Expresscare clearly missed. I will not go back to this location.

Mediocre service and attention at best, had an emergency and was placed on hold until paperwork was completed. I would not recommend unless you need a physical done.

I went to Express Care for the first time in several years with a bad case of poison ivy/​poison oak. The front office staff was very polite and made the sign in process very easy. I was the only person in the outside waiting room and was taken back to the first evaluation area within less than 10 minutes. Blood pressure was taken and introductory medical questioning was completed easily. i was then taken into an examining room where I waited alone for at least 15 minutes before the doctor arrived to evaluate my problem. It seemed like an unusually long period of time to wait, however, I’m not sure if others were also in other examining rooms. The attending physician was very nice and diagnosed the problem quickly. I then waited in the examining room again for about 5 minutes for the medical assistant to arrive with my prescription. The prescription would have cost $ 15 to fill at Express Care, but I went across the street to Target where the same prescription cost me less than $ 2 with my prescription plan. I would return to Express Care again. My husband, 21 year old daughter, and my now 91 year old mother have also used this Express Care location in the past. The only difficulty we had with previous experiences was wait time for lab results (days and days for the results of a strep test to come back — almost a whole week for us to know the results).

I’m here because I’m sick and wants to avoid long waiting in ER. I’ve checked in more than 1hr ago and still waiting. The staffs are not friendly and they have PAs on site not a doctor most of the time. I was misdiagnosed before. I’m hoping it want happen again.

I went in today because I have latex allergies. I was around latex yesterday and so my chest hurt. I told the medical assistant about the allergy and she put me in a room with Latex gloves. Doctor came in again I told him I have a allergy and he does prescribe Steroids and an in healer. In my notes he gave me he put I need to be tested for a Latex allergy. I was getting ready to leave and I was hovered around to fill out a survey. Does the staff not listen to a patient? I think it is pretty scarey and I will NEVER go back again.

Worst place to go. Went there many of times cause I kept breaking out in hives and instead of doing any tests they would send me home with the steroid medicine, and I went at least 10 times for the same thing. They would ask if I had a hard time breathing and I’d always say no and sometimes they would still give me the shot to help stop the hives. Yes it worked but there was no need to do it. And the one time they gave me the shot and it was around 7 pm and as I was leaving I asked the doctor when I should start the medicine since I just received the shot and he said oh you can start tonight, now I’m not a doctor but the sounds like a overdose waiting to happen. I finally went somewhere else and come to find out I was breaking out in hives cause of my nerves. Plus you have to wait hours to see a piece of crap doctor. The people are not friendly at all. They look at you like why are you here. The best place to go is Patient First.

Had terrible shoulder and arm pain down to my elbow, explained that its been going on for a few days — told what medication I took and that it’s worst when bent. Doctor came in and basically ticked my arm and said he needed xrays. Came back said xrays showed nothing, prescribed the same medication I informed him I took with no results, and told the nurse to put me in a sling — which I had to stop because it was excruciating… One nurse seemed decent, but the rest seemed unintelligent (I asked one if I should go see a specialist and her two responses were «What did the doctor tell you?» Which was nothing, and «Only you would know how you feel and if it’s bad enough to go» — I’m sure this service is beneficial to some, but I won’t be coming back — I’m off to see a REAL doctor after wasting money here…

Ok, go here if you know what you have, and you just need a prescription. That’s the good part.
The bad is that sometimes, even if it isn’t «prime time», it can be crowded and you will wait FOR​.EV​.ER. I once waited two and a half hours to see a doctor about pink eye. Yes, pink eye. My eye was pink, I knew what it was, I just needed drops for it, and I waited over 2 hours to hear «yup, that’s pink eye alright» and get a prescription.
The kicker? It didn’t even cure it. I had to make an appointment to see a regular specialist and get stronger drops because even though I wasn’t contagious anymore, my eyeball swelled. Ah! This would have been ok had I not waited SO LONG for an insufficient treatment.
The receptionists are always very nice though, so at least you don’t feel like strangling anyone while you wait.

Where do you go when you can’t get an appointment to see your doctor and you don’t want to go to the emergency room? You stop into Expresscare. It’s efficient and convenient.
You sign in, process paperwork, wait in the waiting room, move into triage (collect information regarding your symptoms, take your temperature, etc.) and then set you up in a room with a doctor. I’ve been here for anything from sinus infection to poison ivy. The most I had to wait was 45 minutes and it was the day before Christmas.

I waited 3 hours to see a doctor. When he came in, he did no tests at all. He touched my injury with his hand, listened to my breathing and left to write me prescriptions. He wouldn’t listen to anything I had been experiencing for the week prior to my visit and insisted I should just take the prescriptions. Of course, I’m not going to take medicine from a doctor that doesn’t care to see what the problem really is.
If you want a quick prescription that could be a hit or miss, come here. If you need a real doctor, go somewhere else.
