The Overlook

Went to a wedding at this facility and it was unorganized the original planner left before the wedding the fill in was rude. Not to mention the food was horrible and not done half of the guest left due to the food. They had to take chicken to the back to fix it. Ita hard for me to believe that a facility would allow things to go this wrong on someone’s wedding day. We all know the facility is not cheap it unfortunate they did not stand up to their end of the contract.

Amazing venue! I had my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at The Overlook, after visiting over 15 other venues. The Overlook makes you part of the family from the moment you step in the doors. They made every event perfect!

Attended an event here recently. The staff is very accommodating and friendly but there was a roach crawling up the wall and food wasn’t anything to write home about. Perhaps if the event organisers had a better bugdet we could have had better food. So I’m not willing to strike they need completely.

Really beautiful remodeled place. Attended an event for my son. Great food beautiful lighting and clean.

–Lobby looked like an office, but updated/​new/​clean
–Nice deck available, chairs and tables were nice, open concept with columns and plenty of windows
–Noise level was LOUD during the presentation. Might be an acoustics issue with the concrete floors.

I love The Overlook and everyone who helped me make my brides event a smooth sail. I was an outside coordinator/​event planner and I received the best treatment and flexibility with my crazy work hours. I was able to access the ballroom at 8 AM the wedding day to work on the floral centerpieces. I had very good communication with Stefani (in-​house coordinator) and she helped me with the little details like lighting candles and greeting guest while I wrapped the ceremony up at a church about 20 minutes away. We did have an outside caterer, but they were still attentive with me and I was attentive with my brides guest at all times. I received many compliments at the end of the night, but now it is my turn to compliment everyone from The Overlook: Stefani, Jennifer, Linda — ALL WONDERFUL with a beautiful venue to match. Atascocita/​Humble & Houston Brides, you are in for a treat!

My husband and I got married here in September of 2014. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. Our style is not traditional, and they were able to work with us. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They have a huge variety of décor in all colors and designs, so whatever theme you are going for, they can work with it. Our wedding planner was amazing. She was able to put all my colors and ideas together, and let me pick out each and every little detail. They have different rooms to choose from too. Two different areas for the ceremony (one is outdoor by the water!), and two different sized rooms for the reception. Plus a photobooth! Words cannot describe the perfection we experienced on our special day.

Although I did not organize an event at The Overlook, I flew in from out of town to see a long-​time friend from college get married there. I have to say that the venue was absolutely perfect for the wedding and the staff was impeccable in their professionalism and charm. The catering was delicious, the bartenders were fast/​talented, and the dance floor was well-​utilized! In particular, the beverage director for the venue, Jennifer, was extremely professional and kind. She even went outside her normal job description and stayed beyond her expected hours to assist guests who remained at the venue in solving a logistics and transportation problem that arose.
All in all, due to the beauty of the venue and the A+ work by the staff (especially Jennifer!), my fiancé and I had a fantastic time at the wedding. I would recommend The Overlook as a location to anybody looking to plan a similar event!

This facility is tops and a great addition to our area. Kevin, Sandy, Linda, Tiffany and the staff really seem to care about events and the folks here. I hear that the food is wonderful from their on-​site caterer: The Hometown Chef. The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and so much improved with new details like a cute wooden bridge, huge deck, and a great house sound system. I would be happy to hold any number of different types of events here from a wedding to a birthday or company party.
So we had an event here last night, and I have to say the food was amazing as well as the service. The only issue we had was that I was releasing my new CD, and the sound in the smaller large dining room was very muffled and hard to hear despite their great sound system. They need to maybe add curtains or a sound muffler to the room which is too live. We couldn’t even understand what he was saying when the owner was talking into a mic…

I just visited their facility to check on booking future events and to see their progress of their remodel. The Overlook is going to be the most elegant place in the Atascocita and Kingwood area for weddings and formal events. Their team was very helpful, showed me the architectural renderings, went over all of the services they offer and really proved they were going to be the best venue in the area.
