Rocket Parking

This parking area is located on the Will Clayton side of the airport, close to Terminal E. Asked to park and had to walk to the shuttle.
Not exactly sure why we were forgotten so quickly, but they did not send anyone to retrieve us from our vehicle.
Lots of potholes in the parking lot.
Covered parking is affordable but you have a support beam by your back door no matter what.
Coming back home is torture. I opted to send a text message to let them know I was back and needed to be picked up. Received a confirmation text stating that they did get my message.
I watched several shuttles from many different companies pass by for the next 30 minutes. As a matter of fact, each company passed at least 3 times in those 30 minutes. No sign of this company. I called, and they asked why I didn’t let them know. I told them that I did the text message option, and silence. They said they would send someone right away. About 15 minutes later, they did come get us and we had an easy time back to the vehicle.
Overall, you get what you pay for. This is an affordable parking option when you are flying out of IAH, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, but the service may be spotty. You have been forewarned.

Wow they don’t have any shuttles in the middle of the day without calling. You would think they had one constantly running. Every other parking company had about 5 shuttles come before I had to call. Lots of potholes as well. Cheapest parking lot for a reason. Will still park here because it’s cheap. :(

Made a reservation, received a confirmation, showed up to park and was RUDELY told that my reservation didn’t
matter, they were full. Almost missed my flight. Definitely don’t depend on this place!

Awful employees, awful shuttle vans. I had a reservation for this morning 12/26/15…“over-flow” parking. Row H… What a joke of a business. You truly «get what you pay for, and not even that.»
Great for rednecks that like to park in 6 inches of muddy water.
I will a never use this business again.

Phone is disconnected so you’ll need to ask them for the new phone number after parking with them. Something we wished we had done. Arrived at 7 AM, but with no working phone number, we had to nervously wait, hoping a shuttle would actually arrive. One did at 8:25. We told the driver about the disconnected phone and he was aware. He continued to voice his disapproval with the way the company is run, yet he’s still their employee. Only thing to note regarding the actual transportation was that our return shuttle smelled like weed. And yes, the potholes are definitely an issue to navigate around.

Only uncovered parking available. Upon return waited and waited and waited for pick up at airport. Then shuttle zooms in and zooms out without stopping and kept going as I was running behind it and left me there. Called the only number available on Google and it’s a disconnected Verizon wireless phone. Just what I always wanted… to be stuck at the airport after a long day.

Awful!!! Never again. Parked there to try something new and it was a huge mistake. Getting to the airport was ok because it was a holiday and not too many travelers but pickup took over 45 minutes of waiting in the cold with my two kids at 5:45am. Called the number on card that they gave me upon parking and it was DISCONNECTED! No one came by. Eventually my husband asked The Parking Spot for info and they were able to contact them to let them know that had several guest waiting at terminal E. After another 15 minutes or so, they showed up in an old, smelly «the parking spot» bus with torn seats. Over the radio I could hear them arguing about us having missed the other bus that was there around an HOUR before we finally got picked up. Very unhappy!
Also sent an email while I was waiting asking for correct number and never heard back!

So I’ve used rocket in the past and had no problem, but this time around it was a headache. Only uncovered parking available, when I returned the phone number was disconnected so we just had to wait and take a gamble that we’d get picked up, we tried to redeem the free day of parking offered on Unilocal and the employee told us we don’t do that, I don’t know who told you that. Even after showing it to her she still would not redeem it and would not get her manager. She stated they were owned by the parking spot now… But if that’s the case, they should actually rebrand and give the service that is normal for the spot. I would have parked there but they were full like always. The drivers are nice… But everything else makes this a no go

Maybe I just got lucky, but my experience with Rocket Parking definitely exceeded the normal standards based on other reviews.
I made a reservation online for a set price of $ 4.95/day for uncovered parking. I was picked up as soon as I parked (the bus was already there before I even pulled up).
As for pick-​up, I called after landing and was told to go out terminal C. The shuttle came shortly after about 2 minutes. Fast check-​out process as well.
I would definitely keep using this place for future trips.

You get what you pay for. This cliché statement is so very true for this place. You will definitely pay less.
Here is how it worked:
Looked online and found cheap parking. Found it was even cheaper if we made a reservation online — so we did. Pull up the push the button a required «all we have is uncovered» was the response. I said «that’s OK. I have a reservation» and the response was «doesn’t matter. Go to row K in the far lot.» We pulled in and went to the far lot. Nothing was marked any letter. The lot was full of pot holes and dirt. The van pulls up as soon as we park and leaves before I could open the door. We get our bags and and wait. And wait. And start walking. We make it to the very front of the the «far lot» and wait. I finally call and she told me that «bus 4 is back there.» I replied with «ma’am — there is not a single bus moving around.» Finally one is sent and we drove around that damn lot for 15 minutes to see if anyone else arrived. Absolutely NO A/​C on any of the busses we rode on… Ours even died when we stopped.
Pickup took about 25 – 30 minutes from time of request that we were at terminal.
Lady at checkout was super friendly. Had to find email where we paid for reservation deposit. Kind of a pain — but she also easily accepted our Unilocal free day of parking and offered two bottles of water.

Basically: hot, slow, unorganized, cheap.

Worst parking/​pickup… ever. 15 mins waiting by car, then a busted old van pulls up, wires hanging out of dash, door doesn’t shut properly, and… No seat belt! Driver was nice enough.
Now I’m trying to get picked up. I called 6 times and got the busy signal. Finally, I get through. I mistakenly sent them to E (couldn’t find E’s exit) so when I got to C I called to let them know. Answering machine picks up. Call back. They say no prob, he’s leaving E. 12 minutes later no car… Call again. You’re at E? Oh C. Ok, he’s leaving now. «Leaving your parking lot?» «We’re 5 minutes out». That was 12 minutes ago.
** update: back at car in 41 minutes. BUT the lady inside was nice, apologetic, and comp’d my parking for the three days, so updating from one star to two.

We usually come in off of 45 and park at preflight, which is wonderful. However we had to come in from a different way this trip just picked a parking lot. When we arrived we were told to go to row (and I can not make this up) «G and in Jay» confused we pulled down row G only to be yelled at that we were supposed to go to J. So we laughed that off, but were completely shocked at how awful the parking lot was, potholes everywhere.
The van to take us to the airport was quick, but filthy with no air conditioning. Which is amazing in June when trying to catch a 1pm flight.
Getting out of the airport was a complete different story, took almost an hour of calling to get a shuttle. When the shuttle finally got there, we could quickly tell the «new» shuttles were nothing even close to being new. No air, and just as stained as the van. I’m not a snob, but I will not be using them again. Never. Ever. Ever. Again.

If you plan on using Rocket Parking, here’s a simple tip: Keep your expectations low, real low. For some unknown reason my usual lot was full so I had to resort to using Rocket. The lot itself was riddled with potholes like acne on a teenager’s face.
Also trying to get a seat on the shuttle is essentially a training camp for the Hunger Games. You and many other travelers will initially be polite and chit chat with each other as you wait in the lot (for what seems like forever) for a shuttle. However once one is spotted everyone bolts for it like it’s the Cornucopia. No point in waiting for a car side pick up because by then it’ll be full and you’ll be shut out.
So yes this lot is cheaper than the rest, but please just go to another lot and pay a bit more. Traveling is stressful enough, the last thing you need is to be severely delayed by their lack of running shuttles. Lastly, may the odds be ever in your favor.

Ok I’ve used this place a bunch of times and they’ve been good. For some reason tonight, I had to call 4x to get a shuttle pickup and I’m still standing outside waiting for the shuttle after over 30 minutes of waiting. They keep telling me the shuttle is pulling right up and nothing. I saw Eco park and fast park and a bunch of other ones multiple times. Then after calling a few times, they stopped picking up the phone at the base. The shuttle comes and the door doesn’t open. Would spend the extra buck for another place next time. Too bad — they were a good price.

Departure: I waited for the shuttle to take me to the airport for almost 30 minutes.
Arrival: I waited 30 minutes for the shuttle to take me to the airport parking. The shuttle had a dented door, smelled like cigarettes, and no air conditioning.
They honored my free day parking but still, NEVER AGAIN!

Incompetence … No Stars are needed. Waited an hour. Almost called a cab to the parking lot… Would have been quicker to walk home… Never use them again!

This is my usual go-​to for parking, when I’m leaving town on the first thing smokin’.
I don’t expect much courteous service from the ladies in the «office”/behind the box, but the older driver that goes by the name of Mr. Charles is great. He tolerates my boyfriend, and he tolerates my joking complaints. When we return from our trips, he always teases me about being quiet because of my then-​cash-​poor status. He’s very helpful and insightful.
Don’t forget about checking in b/​c if/​when you do, you’ll get one day of free parking. There’s no hastle about it, just be sure to ask for and show the cashier your telephone. Sure, I don’t get any water or a newspaper, but I feel confident about my vehicle and I like see Mr. Charles.

DO NOT PARK HERE… UNPROFESSIONAL AWFUL SERVICE…
If there was a negative star I would give it. No joke.
After booking an online reservation for Christmas day my husband daughter and I drive up to park our car, the girl on the speaker says that there was a computer problem and they do not have any open spaces… What… are you kidding me… I told her that we had an online reservation but apparently that means ABSELOUTLY nothing because she told us in a very unprofessional manner to get off the premises and there was nothing she could do for us, so we went about 2 blocks down to the SPOT where we were greeted very friendly by someone and they found a last minute space for us and had us on a shuttle and on our way to the airport in 5 min.

Relatively inexpensive but the service is abysmal. Wait times for a shuttle should not exceed 30 minutes, nor should it require 3 phone calls to have the shuttle sent.
Not worth the few bucks you would save — especially after a flight.

Houston we have a problem…
When you book with Rocket, you’ll wait about 20 – 40 minutes for your shuttle to the airport. The longer you wait, the angrier you become. When you’re angry in an airport TSA agents will select you for a «random» search. When you are selected for a «random» search you go ballistic on the TSA agent. When you go ballistic on a TSA agent, a full body cavity search will be performed. When a full body cavity search is performed you miss your flight. And when you miss your flight there is a $ 200 change fee. Don’t pay a $ 200 change fee.
Needless to say, if offered a seat on this Rocket ship, do NOT get on. I will stick with the Parking Spot.
