Placed a order to go over the phone prior to arriving… I was on a timed lunch schedule… I had to walk out and cancel the order due to time… I was just sitting there and nobody acknowledge me … By the time someone did. Someone looked like he never got started on the order. Although I came here before and the food is decent, I Wouldn’t recommend you eating here during a lunch break. Their time efficiency is not in line… Not built to handle multiple customers at the same time…

Found the place through Unilocal.Stopped by for breakfast. The French toast was great and had a chorizo taquito on the side, for less than 8 bucks total. The only criticism I have is that I don’t think they used real maple syrup, but given the price that’s probably asking for too much. Will hopefully try it again for lunch next time I’m in the area.

This place has really good food at an affordable cost, the Tex-Mex Pasta is full of flavor and a little on the spicy side(ideal for somebody that likes spicy food) I also tried the Buffalo Hot Fingers it came with FRIESMADEFROMSCRATCH. The staff was very clean and professional, I would recommend this place for employees in the area.

Small, hole in the wall place. Really a word of mouth place; you’d never find it otherwise. Food is way fresh and you’ll be surprised with the quantity and quality. Had the jalapeño jack club, very good!

Chef Mark is GREAT! The food is GREAT(we had breakfast last Friday morning) and the location is easy to get to, as well. Speaking of the location, did you know this is one of the ONLY non-chain breakfast spots in the 1960 area? You can enjoy a quick, quiet business breakfast here & Mark will keep your coffee cup full & get you anything else you need! His place is NOTFANCY, but the quality of the food, the location and the proprietor make it a comfortable, enjoyable experience. MAKESUREYOUCALLAHEAD to see if he’s open b/c he gets A LOT of catering business & sometimes this takes him away during regular business hours. Tomorrow’s Saturday — try Mi Chef Café’ before you start the day!

Jeez! Time goes by fast! I was at this wonderful place a while ago! Small place that you would miss if you don’t know the area. Mi friend Norma N. Who teaches at the North Harris College, which is practically next door, suggested the spot. I came driving from 1960, took Aldine Westfield and almost missed the place. By the way is in the same shopping strip where the Citgo gas station is. Mi Chef is runned by Cheff Mark, a cool guy that would remind you of your good buddy in grade school(he reminded me of Jaen B.) You can see the kitchen from the counter, and that is as good«first look at a clean place» as you get. The food is crafted almost before your eyes without the«run-through-the-factory» feeling. Just behind the counter, you will see how you sandwich is put together with fresh ingredients carefully layered. Sauces came from the morning churn, not from a can. Ask for the soup of the day, and be sure to greet Mark!

Wow, this place blew my mind. Everything was fresh and cooked right there in the store — the special was salmon on a bed of rice, veggies, and a piece of bread. That all came with a drink for $ 7 even. I can’t believe I never ate here while I was in the police academy down the road. Luckily I have years and years of classes to take throughout the year and this place will definitely be visited by me again and again.

Mi o mi, I want mo. Just south of FM1960 is a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a strip mall(next to Mo’s) that serves delicious home-cooking specials, evidently by a real chef. I ate lunch here, and several regulars attested to how good the food is here. One of the attractions is that the daily special changes all the time. The rest of the menu has many interesting items I would like to try. But today was Special. Tilapia grilled and covered with a creamy herb sauce and on top of mild brown rice was the special of the day. For $ 7 you get that plus vegetables(broccoli and carrots) and a hot roll. The fish was fresh and cooked right, the portion size was medium-large, the sauce was tremendous and that made the dish special. The lunch was so good, I decided for a muffin for dessert. Apple bits in it, fresh, moist inside, and it was very good. Scenic tour: You have to go through a narrow(due to catering gear and a car tire) hallway and through the back of the kitchen to get to the one bathroom(which was well-kept). I got to see them washing fresh vegetables in the kitchen. I suspect breakfast is good here, too.
