I live in California now and rent out my condo in Jamaica Plain. Of course, since I left, the previously idyllic condo now has flooded, lost power, had cabinets fall off the bathroom wall and required a ceiling fan in the bathroom. It has been difficult, to say the least, to find good help from far away (the people I had lined up before I left all flaked out on me). The ceiling fan has proven the most difficult; finding someone trustworthy was proving impossible. After receiving ridiculous quotes (i.e. $ 3000???) and having more people flake out on me, I was desperate. I happened upon Service Magic and picked Mike based on the reviews I saw… Finally, a great choice!!! He showed up to meet my tenants on time, did all of the work in one day and fixed the other electrical problems I was having (which had eluded two other electricians) for a very reasonable price. I have not seen the work, but my tenants say it is great and he seemed very trustworthy. Plus, he said it was a difficult job, but still did all on time and for the price quoted. He was a lifesaver when I thought it was a lost cause!
