History
Established in 1977.
The Sleep Shop started as an appliance store in 1977; the original owner sold woodstoves and a few mattress sets. During the 1980’s and early 1990’s The Sleep Shop sold waterbeds like they were going out of style. Eventually, they did go out of style and The Sleep Shop responded by adding high quality innerspring bedding brands and the new memory foam bedding. In 2000, we started designed a website with the intention of providing local customers with information about the store. Soon folks were calling from all over the USA asking about buying products. We added more products and redesigned the website. Today, www.TheSleepShop.com is a leading provider of hard-to-find bed frames, bed rails, and bed frame parts online. Our brick-and-mortar stores are specialty sleep stores with all the latest in sleep technology from the major players in the industry. We have something in every price range to suit every body.
