I try to hit thrift stores where ever I travel just to see if there are any differences in what is hot. I like a lot of vintage things, but only specific and odd stuff, and sometimes I can find great things in small towns, like Hudson. So when I drove past the Sally, I had to stop. It is a larger store with two huge warehouse type rooms. Not a big selection of men’s clothes, which is not surprising because I believe the men’s clothes are vetted by the men who are in the Salvation Army rehabs — nevertheless, it is adequate and if you were looking for something in your size you would probably find it. Alas, not many housewares, which is what I am after usually. I expected to find more. I don’t know why. I don’t normally look at the women’s or kids clothing sections so I cannot comment about the quality or quantity– and during this visit did not venture into the furniture etc. Overall, a pretty standard Salvation Army. with a pretty solid selection of things you would find in a thrift store.

Although this is one of the bigger Salvation Army’s, it only get’s this in my opinion, because of the second room in back that most people don’t realize until they walk into the shop. This second room contains mostly the non-clothing stuff that most people find interesting to buy.(Although they once sold adult Depend disposable diapers, they also sell in back of the wall everything from books and records, to big furniture(such as sofas and chairs, and whatever bigger knick-knacks people don’t dream this common thrift store would possibly ever have). Although I like this place, prices are lower than imaginable(which makes for common purchases by many, and the occasional purchase by my family and I).
