Warning: Do not bring your computer to this business! Do yourself a favor and stay as far away as possible. In short, the owner Fred Ramos & his employees are rude & disrespectful. I found them to be unprofessional & lacking knowledge pc technicians should have. I went there to save time I didnt have for what should have been a quick repair — I could have fixed it myself — only to have them waste my time still having to fix it myself but paying them $ 90 not following the instructions I gave them. After talking with Fred on the phone I told him I was still unhappy and I would be posting my review and he threatened posting a video of my poor customer experience online. I will do my best to explain my experience in detail:
I had never done business with showtime computers prior. I was a new customer. I called ahead to get pricing for express service, explaining my business computer was down and I Had to have it back that day. I was quoted what it would be for 1 hour. I explained I only wanted them to work on it for 1 hour. I work on computers myself but didn’t have the time to fix it and opted for them to do it. It should have been a quick fix for someone skilled in the profession. I had installed a bad nvidia graphics card driver on 3÷7÷16 which crashed many people’s systems. A simple driver removal utility program on a usb could have resolved the issue quickly as I had already done some testing before running out of time. When I dropped it off I gave specific instructions to the person whom took the computer that the ONLY thing I wanted done was to remove/​delete/​uninstall or rollback that driver — only if there was time within that hour left over to check a few minor things. I also asked to have the technician call me so I could explain the details. I was running late for my daughters doctor’s appt and never received a call from the technician so I figured they didnt get a chance to fix it. I go inside and the technician has my computer apart, wires hanging everywhere saying he didnt know what was wrong with it. The person whom took the pc never gave him the information when I dropped it off. He said he was working on it for 3 hours and it didnt matter he didnt know, he does this all the time and the system would need a full reinstall. I called him out on that, telling him — no it didnt and I could fix it myself. He said «good luck, I should have set this thing on fire» prior to giving it back to me. I became more and more upset and lost my cool. I had brought it there to save time as I run my own business and single dad to 4 kids… It was absolutely deplorable what kind of customer service I was receiving. I was livid. As he put my computer back together setting it on the shelf I take my pc and get half way to the door and another guy says «you have to pay for that» I said «pay for what? — you didnt do what I asked» I’m not paying for something you didnt do and I left. They called the police and tried to claim «theft of service» Instead of them wasting more of my time and money of fighting this in court I opted to just pay the $ 90 and submit a review online only to be threatened by the owner he would illegally post the video of me losing my cool while in his store. Being disgusted by them does not begin to describe how I feel about their business. When returning home I repaired my computer within 30 – 40 minutes by just removing the gfx card and putting in a differ one so it would not load the bad driver that was installed and I also had to default and reflash the bios because the technician screwed that up too.
EDIT: As for Fred’s reply… its just empty words that means nothing because he is un-​willing to refund the $ 90 I paid for them to do nothing but waste my time. His only motive appears to be trying to save face by posting a fake apology. I had already written a letter to Fred and talked with him on the phone about these issues. He is only now showing some remorse over the handling of my PC now that I’ve posted a review. Refund my $ 90 Fred. Then your apology will have some meaning.

Showtime is a great place to buy or have your computers repaired. They are always pleasant and helpful, I’ve been dealing with Fred and his crew for over 17 years and I will continue to deal with them for years to come. Great job Fred and Noël and the rest of the crew.

I find your reply to be hysterical. You, Fred (the owner), had the opportunity to care about my dissatisfaction when we spoke on the phone twice. you did not. your disingenuous post to somehow portray that you truly care about your customers and their satisfaction is laughable.

My family has given this place many chances, but we shouldn’t have. Most of the reviews which are here and aren’t written by employees or family members say it all. They are rude, they don’t care about their customers, service is poor, work is slow and shoddy. They believe that refurbished means used, but still charge refurbished computers and when you return it because the battery can’t hold a charge after two days they inform you that you should have expected it since it is a used computer. I am only glad they aren’t selling cars with that philosophy.

Showtime Computers has always been helpful and friendly for me. Their store is supplied with a ton of equipment.
I have also purchased several printers, cameras and computers from them in the past. Anytime I had an issue, they were very helpful and quick to resolve the issue.
There is something to be said when you overhear people at BB send people to Showtime to fix their computers.
Anywya, I hate Unilocal and similar websites, because only negative tend to write in. Explore for yourselves, they do a great job.

Very deceptive and disingenuous… I purchased their Intel I3−3240 System 4GB 500HD tower system, and a supposed version of Office. It was a Friday afternoon, and probably should have done more homework before visiting these folks. They told me it was Windows 7 Pro… it was Windows 7 Home… their Office package turned out to be an older stripped down version of Home & Student… He assured me it would connect to my wireless networks… there wasn’t even a wireless network card in the computer.
After hours of frustration… I went to BEST BUY and purchased BETTER SYSTEM … TWICE THE RAM MEMORY… TWICE THE HARD DRIVE SPACE … WINDOWS 8.1 … NEWER GENERATION INTEL CORE PROCESSOR … 5 LICENSE OFFICE … WHICH IMMEDIATELY PLUGGED AND PLAYED WITH WIRELESS NETWORKS. ALL FOR OVER A $ 120 LESS than Showtime. THAT’S WAY MORE COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE FOR MUCH LESS MONEY.
Needless to say the next business day I returned the system to Showtime… and was treated immediately with them grabbing the system as though I was a criminal. They tried to make an excuse about them just starting to put wireless cards in them and that this one didn’t have one… even though I specifically asked him when I was purchasing it. Very rude… no apology, no nothing. I dealt in particular with a clerk named Fred.
I hate giving bad reviews and will only give a negative review when I feel like I’m doing a justice for other consumers… and if I was grossly mistreated. I initially avoided Best Buy figuring I’ll get some more personal service at Showtime… but was completely wrong.
SHOWTIME needs to put on a better show or start rehearsing for their FINAL ACT.

Showtime is the only place to go when you have a virus. They can clean your computer and restore your files so you don’t lose your stuff. So much better that the geek squad.

I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since 2003, I have spent thousands of dollars here and have been fairly happy, until today.
I am in the market for a small, portable, wireless USB keyboard and I saw one here on one of my recent (and frequent) visits. I asked to take a look at it and was generally impressed with the device. Since I work on medical devices I must be careful about what what I add to a medical OS, thus I am concerned about whether or not widows has native drivers or if I would be required to download drivers and install them.
This is where it gets interesting, I asked if we could plug the device into one of the many functional computers on display, assuming the device worked like I think it probably would/​should, Windows would pull a driver and install it right? well the kid who was who was helping me said «hold on» and went into the back room, a moment later, someone who I have always assumed to be the owner, came blasting out stating «Its a keyboard, it works like your cell phone», I calmly explained that I am quite familiar with how it should work but would like to see it connect to a PC, his response «Who does this?» «no one gets to connect things!» to which I reply that I USED to spend a LOT of money here. He states again «Who does this!?»… well sir I did, and your very rude response has lost yourself on (formerly) loyal customer.
Additionally, I will spread the word that Micro Center, 730 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA 2 139, (617) 234‑6400 will likely be much more helpful and much less rude. There is also You-​Do-​It Electronics, 40 Franklin St, Needham, MA 2 494, (781) 449‑1005. These are a bit of a drive, but I drive quite a bit for work so there you have it.

They don’t even deserve one star. Based on the other reviews i am not surprised except for Robyn’s review which was either written by the company or was a paid review because there is not one person in Nashua or Hudson that can say this company is anything but a group of con artists.
I work for a software company and have had work contracted through geek squad as well as other third parties. Showtimes not only has no idea what they are doing but probably are the worst customer service to boot.
Dropped off a $ 1,500 custom laptop to have the hard drive migrated to a solid state drive I explained that the drive was encrypted. They took a week before I had to call and they said the drive is broken. After driving down there and proving it wasn’t they then say «OH we can’t work with an encrypted drive!» and tried to charge me for work. Even though there was a post it on the screen reading «DRIVE IS ENCRYPTED» I guess reading is not the technician’s (Name Noël) strong point. They then gave me the computer back to un-​encrypt when and I got the laptop back it was missing the plastic light covers from the screen. They basically told me I must have done that even though its brand new. So on top of the technician not being able to read he also has no clue on how to re-​assemble a laptop.
In the end I told them my property was damaged and they said i should put some tape over it… Classy laptop repair. No thanks. Thanks for destroying my property Showtimes.

I agree this place stinks. I brought my computer there to see if they could save my hard drive and all my photos. They said they could. Charged me 300. Then told me they couldn’t. I had a friend who doesn’t do this for a living look at it and he was able to save my photos. They are also rude.

I have been a customer of Showtime for many years, for both my business and personal use. They have given me the best service and helped me when I have had a crash situation at work and needed it fixed immediately. They have always been upfront and honest with me about what is best for my business needs. I would highly reccomend them over a corporate run big store where you are just a number, at Showtime they always know your name and are very friendly. The repair department is great and fast turn around when you need it.

These are not nice people. If you get poor sevice here is it is because the manager does not care if you are happy. They have a attuide here. I went it in to buy a cd burner for my old computer and when I had a few questions about installing it, the counter employee devolped an attitude. I sopke with the manager and his attitude was worse than his employee.
There is only one thing in this world that we have total control of: our attitude

I’ve been going to showtime computer for all my business computer needs. Every time I have been in there I have been impressed by the customer service and the repair department. I’m pretty computer savy but I bring my business machines in for repairs that are beyond my knowledge. I always felt that the repairs are fair and prompt. I saw their video content online and decided this was a place to check out based on their professional appearance. I recommend showtime for business owners looking to cut expenses in computer repair and furnishing an entire office.
