How have I been missing this all my adult life? Last night was a throwback to the 1980’s and my childhood roller skating days. This place is a total time warp. Yes the building exterior and interior is quite dated, but this only contributes to its character and charm. I was amazed by the strobe lights, neon colors, wildly patterned carpeting, upbeat music, and the vintage arcade. I rollerblade in my spare time so I’m used to being on skates. It can be a little difficult for some their first time on wheels, but with a little practice you will be skating like a pro in no time. There were a variety of skill levels last night from rookies gracefully face-planting to some professional level skaters showing off their skills out on the floor. This is people-watching at its best, but I mean this in the sincerest way as I was pretty impressed with some of the skaters. Upon arriving you surrender your shoes for a pair of skates and are offered your choice of traditional or inline. Feel free to bring your own skates instead of renting. I went old school with the traditional four wheelers. The music is the best with a variety of 80’s pop, dance, and hair metal. They even slowed it down for a «couples skate» to an Air Supply classic. We visted on «Adult Night» and this was ideal as we prefer to skate without having to dodge children. The crowd consisted of varied age groups ranging from 20– 60+ and I was pleased that the rink was not super busy. Not sure if it’s the usual Saturday night turnout, but it was nice to have plenty of room out on the floor. Adult skate night runs from 7−10pm and tickets can be purchased ahead of time online at a discounted rate. I am not sure how often this event is offered. Schedules are available on the rink’s website. During a little skating break, I fed all my quarters to the Skee-Ball machines and cashed in my tickets for a rubber, glow-in-the-dark chicken to complete my night. A snack bar is available offering pizza, hot dogs, soft drinks, and more. Lazer Tag and karaōke events are on the schedule as well. So much fun under one roof. I had an amazing time last night.

We had another negative experience at Roller Kjngdom today. I was using my voucher that I received for buying new skates here. It is good for admission. Normally on a Friday, your admission comes with a slice of pizza and a small drink. I was told that since I wasn’t paying full admission, we weren’t allowed to get the pizza and drink. However, the full price of admission for my kids was deducted from my voucher. This isn’t right. If they aren’t giving me the pizza and drink, a reduced rate should be deducted from my voucher. They advertise that you get your skates for free but this is really false. I should add that I have been utilizing my vouchers from buying 3 pairs of skates since last winter and this is the first time that my kids were cheated out of their pizza and drink. I was told by staff that the issue is due to a new manager. I’m waiting for a call back from this manager. They have also continued to not play the songs requested by my kids(mainstream popular songs) despite their statement that they would try to make a better effort. Come on roller kingdom, get back to the way you used to be. Regular customers notice these changes and we don’t like them.

Wanted my son to learn to skate and this place is good, it’s nice but the place needs some remodeling, I see dust and spider webs around. Pizza only cheese? Come on! There should pizzas with different toppings Hot dogs? I haven’t seen any, schedule? I’m ok with that. Skates, better bring your own the rental one are very old most are torn and uncomfortable. My son also requested a song to be played they ignored him Laser tag guns they should cleaned after use you know kids touch everything

I have gone to Roller Kingdom since I was a child, and now I take my own children here. I remember as a kid waiting anxiously to go to Roller Kingdom for the school fundraiser. It was always so much fun. Now many years later, it’s still the same! Right down to the races, the Hokey Pokey dance and the Pizza, which my kids and I like a lot! Both my kids learned to rollerblade when they where only 3 years old! I taught them here when we’d come have a family day out. I think because they started rollerblading so young, it helped them big time with the skiing! The staff is awesome, when someone takes a tumble, they go to them and make sure no other people fall or trip around them. During the winter months, if we don’t ski, we rollerblade! Love this place! Great place to be with my kids, staying active during winter. Love going on Sundays from 1 – 5 :-)

Good fun for the kids and we enjoyed as well. We went there on a Sunday so it was open for about 4 hours but the price was half price. It was well spent money as we could get the skates for the same money. Just 1 issue the music is really loud and I am not exaggerating.

I used Roller Kingdom as my venue for a private party. It was a Retro Rollerskating Surprise 40th birthday. Two thumbs waaay up for this venue. We brought in our own food and beverages, they provided everything else. They were very easy to work with when setting up the whole thing and the day of were great. The setting was awesome because all the older adults haven’t been to a roller rink since they were 12 and so it was nostalgic while the kids loved the Rollerskating and lights and music. We did our own custom playlist, they provided us with all the equipment and staff we needed. I would recommend this venue for a fun casual Party or event. Everyone can have a good time here.

My children and their friends really enjoyed going to Roller Kingdom. The staff and most especially the owner are friendly and extremely accommodating. The pizza was very good as well. The rink itself is a classic that I remembered in the 80’s when I used to skate. The music isn’t too loud and they have fun activities throughout the afternoon. The facility is very well maintained. They also offer karaōke at no cost and laser tag games for a small fee. I would give them five stars, but they are only open for four hours on Saturday and Sunday and so they lose a star because the fun ends all too soon! I highly recommend Roller Kingdom.

What a great place to go when it is cold and rainy. Where white so the black light catches you as you whizz by on your blades! Lots of kids, pizza, cake for birthday parties. There are so many things to pick from from the laser tag, karaōke and you can get the rentals there or bring your own.

Roller Kingdom is still very much alive! The last time I came here was in the mid 90’s. Since then most of my friends in the Metrowest believed that RK had shut down completely. Very little has changed and the rink which now seems smaller than I remember. After an hour I realized why; a laser tag arena was install sometime ago which helps explain why everything is smaller. However, the karaōke stage is still here! Prices are $ 8.00 for admission which included skate rental. I did have a coupon which I bought from which offered $ 45 for $ 15. DONOT purchase this coupon because it WILLNOT be honored. Thankfully, the gentleman I spoke with explained to me that they stopped accepting it all together but was willing to purchase it back from me which made me very happy. So it wasn’t a total loss. During the month of October Saturday public skate is open from 1−5pm but don’t expect to come here and it not be busy. It will be! Today there had to have been at least 4 birthdays going on simultaneously. However, I will admit that besides a few obnoxious teenagers the grown was surprisingly pleasant. I had to maneuver my way around people more than I’m use to but still I would say I had a great experience here. If you do not own your own skates you will have to surrender your shoes for a pair of either blades or quads. Don’t worry you’ll get them back! Remember that all skate rentals, here or anywhere, require customers to wear socks. It is always best to bring a pair of socks that are anything but ankle socks. You want to wear something that goes high enough so you’re not touching to skate. After today it was great to see a good majority of the Metrowest still comes to Roller Kingdom as much as they did when I was younger. There will be crowds so be ready.
