We are a distributor of Interstate Batteries, servicing fifteen counties within Western North Carolina, supplying batteries to a variety of businesses which include auto parts stores, mass merchandisers, national accounts, auto dealerships, heavy equipment, marinas, independent garages, mobility, power sports dealers, lawn & garden, end users such as municipalities, utility companies, manufacturers, and retail sales.

History

Established in 1962.

Interstate Battery System of Western North Carolina is a distributorship owned by Dean & LaRaye Lentz Arnett. Our home office is Interstate Battery System of America located in Dallas, Texas. This distributorship has been family owned since 1962, when Dean’s father-​in-​law, Walter Lentz became the first owner/​distributor in Western North Carolina. His territory included 30 counties in North Carolina, part of Virginia, and Tennessee. Since 1962, there have been three distributorships that have emerged from our territory through concentration of accounts. We are honored to be a part of this well respected and great company.

Manager

Henry has been with our company since July 1989. He is currently our general manager. Being dependable, professional, and treating people with kindness are only a few examples of his character. LaRaye and I are blessed to have him and our other great staff.
