Spent a Saturday afternoon at Get Hooked with a friend. We sat in the tiki area where there was a live band. We first shared a pound of peel n eat shrimp. Served hot with butter and extra Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp was okay but seemed way over-cooked. The meat seemed slimy and fell apart at the base when I peeled away the shelling. The band, Lawless Haze sounded great but took many breaks and didn’t really engage the patrons. Still hanging when the 2nd band set up. Mixed drink of whiskey and ginger ale was acceptable but no happy hour price offered and tasted very much like low quality whiskey. Another food order of the seafood stuffed mushrooms and we shared a burger with fries. Mushrooms were cooked well and had a nice flavor. The burger was okay. Nothing special and the bun was stale. Fries had a lot of flavor and not the typical bland french fries you’d find elsewhere. The staff seemed attentive but, due to moving our seat, we seemed to lose their attention and I had to walk up to the bar to get someone’s attention. Shouldn’t be advertised as waterfront. It’s basically in front of mangroves and next to unsightly boat storage buildings.

Wonderful dinner tonight. Great service! We went at 5:00…promptly seated and waited on. Clam chowder is out of sight! Shrimp Alfredo & shrimp basket were our dinners and were the best! Will go back again & again.

Don’t be swayed by the poor reviews. It’s friendly services provided by Emily, were enough to note her name. Bread is a must have to sop up the Diablo. The drinks were cheap(beer) and the atmosphere is very casual. Sitting outside was beautiful. They catch their own fish and are featured on The Weather Channel. That’s pretty cool in itself. Look it up, it’s called«Catching Hell». Check it out.

Was very excited to visit as we just moved to the area. Atmosphere great and server was super nice. Food… not so much. Our party of four ordered 3 baskets… one clam strips, one oysters and one shrimp. Other person in our party ordered the fish and grits. The fish and grits were great. but the baskets… wow. So much salt we could not even eat! I love salty food and this was beyond comprehension. After messaging their Facebook page, and after they took 2 days to answer us, we were told hope you try us again. I think not. Too much money for a pound of salt and no offer to compensate. Try Sam’s down the street… too…bad.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary tonight and we were very happy with the service and the food was excellent. I’m glad we went even though we read the poor reviews on here. I believe that everyone deserves redemption, and our experience was great. I would recommend the seafood it is the best in this area.

We have been here to Get Hooked on the water before at lunch time and had better service and the lobster bisque is quite good. We took the boat here today at 5 o’clock and were anxious to try the bloody Mary’s after we had recently seen an impressive photo of one that a friend on fb had there. There was only one bar tender during happy hour on a Saturday, it took a good five minutes for us to order a drink and she brought us bloody Mary’s with only an olive, lemon and a DIRTY stalk of celery. The menu has the Bloody Mary we expected listed right there– cheese, salami, shrimp, pepper, olives, celery– for $ 9. We had planned on ordering food, she gave us menus. But NEVER came back to take a food order. We ended up very disappointed and decided to leave. Our bill had 2 $ 6 bloody Mary’s on it. So she needed up with a $ 2 tip. Now had she been a better bar tender, she would up sell and offer their fancier Bloody Mary, we would have ordered food and then most likely a bucket of beer resulting in a much higher bill and therefore a larger tip for her. Whomever the owner and manager(s) are– you need to get your staff in gear bc they are lazy, slow and not helping your establishment or revenue!!!

If it wasn’t for the location, it would have zero stars. The food was awful! We had raw oysters that were warm, the mussels seemed frozen and I can say everything we ordered was not good! The service is very very slow. My boyfriend and I have been to the old location and were not impressed but this was worse!

We really loved this place. Nice and chill, food was good, portions were good. We have no complaints at all! We’ll go back.

Huge disappointment. Wont be back. We were seated outside since it was way too hot to sit inside, we figured we would at least get a breeze outside. All we could smell was garbage the entire time. We had fried grouper sandwiches that were so bland that even lemon, salt, and tartar sauce didn’t help it. For a $ 14 sandwich, it should have been better. We weren’t even convinced it was really grouper. Total bummer.

This review is for Get Hooked’s new location on the marina. We had been to the old location many times without an issue. This was our fist time at the new location. Friday night of a holiday weekend and it was the most disappointing night EVER. We arrived at 6:30 was told ½ hour to 40 min wait which was tolerable…40 min go by check with hostess and she says another ½ hour. At 8:00 we are still not even seated with lots of empty tables… all because the kitchen was backed up and they are not currently seating anyone… and even if we got seated it would be at least another hour before we got our food. Which was was not what we were told when we first got there or the second time we checked. Now not very happy and very hungry and getting nowhere with the hostess we asked to speak to the manager/owner. He came with a bit of an attitude… hostess lied to him right in front of us and said she told us at least an hour and a half. Manager took the hostesses side, basically called us liars and told us to leave and don’t ever come back. Great customer service… NOT! Word of advice to the owner. Go take some customer service and hospitality classes because if you don’t, and continue to treat good & honest customers that help pay your bills, that nice new location you moved to is gonna fail miserably. You’ve already lost 4 and word of mouth travels very quickly!
