Dan is a great mechanic and a great person. I had a lot of complications regarding a leaky radiator, a warranty, and a defective replacement part that I ordered from
(don’t order parts from that website!!) and Dan was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to find another radiator after discovering the website sent me a broken part and communicated everything to me throughout the entire experience. He made a bad situation better! He’s honest and kind, his prices are more than fair and he does great work. Thanks Dan! I’ll definitely be coming back and have already spread the word to my friends.

Dan’s is a good no-​nonsense general auto and light truck repair shop. It is a one man operation run by Dan Herring, who has been fixing cars in the Ghent, Hudson and Kinderhook area for decades. He took care of my old Subaru, his specialty, very well over the years then helped me sell it when it got too tired. He did great work and charged well below the regular places
