CVS Pharmacy

I thought this place was alright, but I remember having a hard time finding Tinactin and not quite finding exactly what I wanted as well as not finding many Burts Bees products, which I was looking for. OK in a pinch.

Do not get a flu shot from this place! The girl who gave it to me looked like she was 15, she said my insurance covered the shot but I got a $ 32 bill a couple months later, oh, and I had an allergic reaction. I’ve been getting flu shots for 13 years and have never had an issue. I had a deadline to get my flu shot for nursing school and my doctor’s office didn’t have them yet so I had to go here. I didn’t know this, and assuming Id be fine since I’ve never had any sort of reaction to a flu shot, I left immediately after but apparently they’re supposed to make you sit there and monitor you for a few minutes to make sure everything went well. I started to get blurry vision on my drive home and noticed I had dilated pupils. At this point I was 5 minutes from home so I pushed on. I walked in the door and told my mom about it. A couple minutes later I noticed my HR was abnormally fast. I stood up to do something and as I was walking I noticed with each step it became harder and harder to breathe. My resting HR, which is typically 75 – 80 was 150. My respirations were high and I felt like I really had to work hard to get a good breath. There was a radiating electrical shock feeling going from the site of the injection to my chest. I ended up calling my doctor to see what he said and he said to try to ride it out unless things worsen. It took about 16 hours to truly feel myself again, although the intensity died down after about 2 – 3 from the time of injection. I just felt awful. I hope they read this review. I should’ve called them and told them about it, not sure why I didn’t. I paid $ 32 to feel like crap. Thanks CVS

The CVS is nice but the pharmacy is awful. They always make mistakes and they make you wait forever if you’re picking up your script right away. I would go somewhere else instead of this pharmacy. You will just end up frustrated.

CVS is a great drugstore chain. I do like the Hudson location. It is clean, spacious, and relatively new. A few years ago it was across the street and it needed to be moved; it was too small. The pharmacy staff are very helpful and there is a good selection of self care products and convenience store products, including basic food, basic magazines, and New York Times bestsellers. There is also a drive-​thru pharmacy. Overall, CVS is a great place to get basic items or to satisfy your medical needs.
