I stayed away from Basha’s for a few years because of poor service in the past. I tried it again for Christmas gifts. One staff member was kind and amazing. One staff member seemed to appear out of nowhere and then followed me around. This was extremely uncomfortable. I left almost immediately after. Not ready to give up because they are local and have some wonderful staff and good products. That said, this customer understands why other reviewers would give up completely and choose to drive to Whole Foods.

My sister in law told me my wife didn’t want a screw driver and a hose this year for xmass(yeah I know my bad) …so she said my wife wanted some oils and said this place was the best around. I went in and said«i have NO idea what I should get» the staff was amazing and really helpful … so I think this xmass the wife will be more happy. haha

Went in looking for a specific product and was short on time but the lady in the shop was able to find what I needed and suggested some alternatives as well. I’ll be back to browse when I have more time. A unique shop for Hudson!

I always used to go the Bashas as it was close by and they seemed nice and knowledgable even though it was more expensive than online or even other health stores a little further away from where I live. Today my view changed. I went to get some advise on Allergy medicine for my kids. When I arrived the lady who served me was a little«off» and seemed almost annoyed to give me advise so when i spotted the nice young man who works there I was happier to be served by him. I have been served by him before, long red haired man. He is knowledgable and eager to help. As I said, natural medicine isn’t cheap(especially at Bashas) so any advise on how I can save a little, goes a long way. I was purchasing 3 things which already added up to over $ 50, so when I asked about another product he told me this was on sale and there were only two left. I was unsure if I wanted this product and said I would do some research and come back if it was the right thing. But now I know I will never go back to Bashas. I could sense a horrible atmosphere from this lady is a place where peace and harmony should definitely be. I paid with a credit from some returned products that I had and she made it very clear she didn’t like that again being openly rude and patronizing to the young man serving me. It made me so uncomfortable and felt sorry for this man having to work with her. As I left the store through the first door, there is an entrance area where there are leaflets and samples to take, I was there looking to see if there were any new things to read about and try I suddenly heard terrible shouting coming from the store. It was the lady shouting at the young man terribly! At the top of her angry voice, I could hear her saying he shouldnt have told me about the sale merchandise but rather other products. I didn’t hang around too long but I was so disgusted at her nastiness and tone of her shouting, I do not know how that man can deal with working with such a rude and disrespectful woman. I will never spend my money there again. In hindsight I wish I had gone back in and said something to stand up for the young man. I wish him all the luck in the world working in such a negative environment when she is there.

Love this place. The care for her customers really shines in her business. A very knowledgeable owner who sells high quality products.

I was at store last Saturday and probably was my worse experience of my life. The lady did not want help me at all, and told to her employee: «I hope she buys something». I may be an immigrant, but do not worry Basha, I have money to buy your whole store if I want to. I will never come back and also will tell this experience for everyone that I know. Go to Whole foods!

I have been going to Bashas for several years now. She is very knowledgeable about her products and has helped me many times with problems that have cropped up. I agree that some of her prices are a little high, but that is the price you pay for her time, knowledge and quality. She Even has a program that offers a discount which rivals any on line company. I have seen her spend quite a bit of time with a customer just to have them Say«oh that’s too expensive»… What is your health worth? She carries top of the line products which are worth the price.

A wide selection of herbs and natural remedies, but poor service and staff without much of a desire to help inform and aid customers. Save your time, save your money and go online.

I stopped in based on Unilocal reviews and was very happy with their selection of nutritional aides, tea, incense and even local honey. They were also really helpful when I needed help selecting an item. Nice Place!

I absolutely love this store and the owner Basha! You own your health and have to take control of it! The saying«you pay for what you get» definitely applies here — things are a bit on the pricey side but when it comes to your health do you skimp to save a few bucks? This is an awesome place if you are looking for natural ways to heal your body. As I learn more and more about chemicals and the things that are in modern day medicine the more time I am starting to spend at Basha’s. Basha has a wealth of knowledge on natural healing and her associates are very helpful too. There is an option to be a member there. I think the memberships that are offered are at a fair price if you need 1 on 1 consultations and want to attend the workshops.

I love Basha! She has helped me address some very personal health issues. She is delightfully pleasant and very knowledgeable. Yep, if she’s not there, her employees can make you feel«stalked». Basha offers an alternative to healthcare and pharmaceutical drugs.

Rude, mean owner. I would not recommend this place under any circumstances. I am surprised she is able to stay in business with her inability to work with customers.

Supplements, beauty products, a wide selection of teas, some dried foods, and a frozen section. More supplements than anything else, though. Good spot to buy Kombucha, spirulina, multivitamins or Tom’s of Maine. Now, if only every town had a health food shop…

Was not impressed with this so called health food store. Entrance is hard to find on busy route 85. There was a scarcity of food which is what I was looking for when I went there, with an over supply of crystals and New Age paraphernalia, and an average selection of beauty supplies. I will give it another chance if they make some serious upgrades.

Dear Basha, You cannot set a minimum on the amount I can put on my Visa or MasterCard. It is against your merchant agreement. We had this argument today and you did run my credit card«just this one time,» but really, you have to do it every time. Yes, you can give a discount to folks that use cash but that discount would have to apply to all $$$ of purchase. No you may not charge an additional fee for amounts under $ 10(Not that you did, but I’m just clearing it up in advance). I used the word«illegal» when we were in the store, which was wrong in much the same way folks use«allergic» when they should really say«intolerant.» Oops. I realized that when I got in the car, but I’d like to clarify it here. You can choose not to accept Visa or MC and opt for other credit card that allows you to set minimums, but their fees would probably be higher(Discover Card maybe?) Or you can choose not to accept credit cards at all. But if you accept Visa or MasterCard, and I want to spend $ 6, then you need to allow that. I know, I know, I sound like a bitch. But the whole point for some folks who carry credits cards is not having to deal with cash. I almost never carry cash and when I do it’s because I really want to go some place that I know, in advance, does not accept credit cards. So now I’m all torn. Had you(or your staff) said that you requested cash for smaller transactions and can I try and have some in the future, I would have graciously understood and did what I could. The fact is, when I go in your store, I very rarely spend less than $ 10 because I usually want more stuff, but, sometimes, I just want a jar of honey and you sell the good stuff. And, on those occasions, I don’t want to feel bullied into spending more money or guilted into carrying cash. Okay, maybe the solution is that you don’t need my $ 6 and I should find another vendor, because I’m really not going to spend more on the days when I want to spend less and I really dislike carrying cash. But then, why should I have to find someplace else when there you are and you are supposed to be accepting my transaction. Oh, sigh… what to do. Still, after this experience you do sell good stuff at reasonable prices, and I would still recommend others go to Basha’s for these goods, although, I would suggest they be prepared with either cash or a fight to use their credit cards if they’re not spending minimums.

I love this place for a casual, quiet, healthy lunch. I’m addicted to the vegan burger, which comes with a side salad with Basha’s housemade dressing. The soups are great, especially those topped with croutons.
