3^rd State Hudson is a specialty, apartment, vacation rental hotel focussed on renting short term to singles, couples, families, and groups of friends. Instead of booking separate rooms in a traditional hotel, 3^rd State offers entire apartments for rent, which allows for a renter to reduce their vacation costs by cooking «at home», have multiple rooms for friends to stay in, and create memorable «local» living experiences in the town of Hudson, NY.

History

Established in 2014.

Kiley Thompson purchased the building in 2014, built in 1864, and was used by a local contractor to entertain potential clients. During the Depression, Mr. Ball’s grandson subdivided the building into apartments, and moved their local business to the ground floor. Since then, the building has seen numerous changes, and Kiley’s plan is to return it to the Depression Era reconstruction.

Kiley is an ex– art director, ex– beverage director, and ex– alcohol salesman. In all the time he has worked for others, he has also worked on his own projects: Science Vs Nature (an electronic band), Expedition Recordings (a record label), and Groundhog Hill (a farm in Greene County, NY). His latest endeavor is to renovate 3^rd State Hudson and bring the building back to its glory, all the while managing it as a vacation rental spot.
