Description

Specialties

«Abbondanza» is abundance in Italian, abundance of healing energy and positivity in the world. Through therapeutic touch, the body is given permission to heal itself. As an NYS Licensed Massage Therapist, I specialize in rejuvenating therapeutic massage, incorporating Swedish Massage, Shiatsu Acupressure, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy, Polarity Therapy Energy Healing, and much more. I am also trained in prenatal massage, sports massage, and head and neck injuries.

I can travel to the comfort of your own space, so you don’t have to go anywhere! Just give me a call and we can set up a time.

History

Established in 2014.

I created Abbondanza as a space where healing and growth can take place. It is more than just a massage, it is permission to love your body, to take time to do nothing at all except let someone take care of you, to get in touch with the healing mechanisms inherent in your body that you might have never heard because you didn’t know how to listen.

I graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mt. Kisco and have been diligently working to create a private practice since, where I can do things my own way. The physical space is the safety of your own home, hopefully to grow into a healing and wellness center somewhere in the Hudson River Valley.

Meet the Business Owner

Nelly B.

Business Owner

After being a theatre director and artist for many years, I was blessed to find The Finger Lakes School of Massage where I received a fantastic education as a bodyworker. I believe that this work has the potential to create sacred experience, transformative and immensely powerful. As a therapist, I reach into a quiet space where the body I touch calls out its needs. I do not force, do not «fix» or «heal»; I only give permission for the body to heal itself.

As both an artist and a therapist, I create a safe space cocooned from the outside world, where a body that is hurt can be cradled back into balance. A body that is stuck in a holding pattern can let go and see things in a new way, start moving in a new way. We are born with inherent healing mechanisms in our bodies that we forget how to listen to. Our bodies are powerful and strong if we let them be that way — they are abundant.
