Big Burger

Burgers are very tasty and they offer a good selection to choose from. Not the best burger I’ve had but not the worst either. I honestly thought the beef portion was a little lacking. So normally this would get 4 stars based on the food quality and taste. They lose a star for price. $ 8 for a burger… just a burger… of this quality is just too much. I know this isn’t comparable to McDonald’s or WhatABurger but it’s not Applebee’s, Red Robin, Chili’s or any popular bar-​and-​grill where you can purchase a MUCH beefier burger WITH fries for a fraction more… like $ 10.69ish. At Big Burger the same price could afford you a burger and fries as well but unfortunately the burger you get just doesn’t compare. This is more on the order of a Five-​Guys caliber restaurant which to me falls between fast-​food joint and bar-​and-​grill restaurant… and at Five Guys you can get a nice double patty tasty burger with all the fixings for $ 5.49 and a load and a half of fries for another $ 3.29. This is much more value friendly.
End of story… if Big Burger was priced better… like $ 5.50 for a burger and $ 2.00 for fries it’d be worth another visit.

alpine burger was bomb but it was pricey. i ordered chilli fries but i ended up with cheese fries smh. very small portion. wouldnt recommend it.

Down home cooking located in an old building in old downtown Aledo. Very inexpensive and very good food. It’s small and always busy, but short waiting times. Friendly employees and patrons, this is afterall Texas. I’m on my way right now. And I’m hongry!

Great burgers and fries! I have been here several times, and just tried the fried pickles. They were just as good as everything else tried. The seating is a little cramped, but the food ales up for it!

I gave them 3 out of 5 because their burgers are good, but the rest needs some minor work…
Upon arrival the restaurant was empty, but it was raining. They were cleaning parts of the restaurant and it was obviously dirty on the floor.
The fried pickle were so salty we could not eat them, and when we asked if they would remake them we were told it was the vinegar they are cooked in and that’s just how they are. They did not taste like vinegar, they tasted like table salt. Majorly.
The burgers were good, but we have had better in this area. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries though.
Overall it was decent, but I will most likely not come back.

The chicken sandwich and salad were good. The burger was not as good as expected from the reviews. The toppings and salad were fresh. Probably wouldn’t go back though.

I was in town for a sports function, decided to follow reviews advise. I was not disappointed, Great burger and fries. Restaurant was very clean and staff was very friendly. I would recommend; was worth the drive.

Yay!!! Finally found an awesome place to eat around here! We had a Texas original burger and the fried mushrooms. The service and food were both exceptional. I hope this place gets the support to stay open for a long time.

The burger concoctions they came up with is a dream come true for those who are into trying new things and don’t mind having a run of different toppings. Loved the «Del Rio Chorizo»!

You can never go wrong with a good burger. This place is great. They have so many different burgers to try. They also have huge salads and grilled chicken sandwiches. Don’t forget the hand cut fries too… wonderful! Staff is always so helpful and friendly! Awesome place!

Burgers and sides were great. It was just a little pricey for two people and while the food was really good, it wasn’t $ 17 a person good.

Just okay. The burger was very large. Wasn’t bad but neither is a concession stand at a football game. Just not worth $ 10 a person. Whataburger has better burgers.

Love this local burger diner! Staff is ALWAYS friendly and welcoming! They have a dynamic variety of burgers and sandwiches and delicious sides to add! Onion rings are flaky, crispy, and delicious. Though it’s a burger joint, I usually get the Cobb salad! It’s gigantic with more than enough toppings consisting of chicken, bacon, avocado, and homemade pico! The ranch is some of the best around and I’m assuming homemade. Also– free light beer and margaritas. A little secret to the locals! ;)

Love the burgers at Big Burger. They make so many different kinds– then you can chose you meat and bun type. Gluten free, or my favorite the wrap with chicken. Always a great place to eat. Friendly and clean!

This place is awesome. My go to is always mushroom and Swiss burgers but everything I have had is super tasty. The buns are a bit large but overall a great burger. Quite large and a bit pricey but defiantly worth a try and repeat visits. The onion rings are super good! Quick friendly service and very clean.

This place is great, I come here often and my wife comes here all the time as she works a couple doors down. The burgers are top notch gourmet burgers. The fries are hand cut and delicious. The fried pickles are unique in that they shave them thin and thy fry them so they are crispy like chips served with ranch of course.
They have a variety of meats to choose from like buffalo, chicken, beef, and turkey burgers. They also have a whole grain patty for vegetarians and even a burger for people that are piscivores (a salmon burger). So cool to be available to so many people. I like meat so I had the beef option many times. The chicken strips are actual chicken strips with a light breading (kids meal), similar to chick-​fil-​A. Its not the same seasoning but very tasty.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I was really exited to walk in and see that they have gluten free buns!!! The staff was friendly and the place was quick and clean.

I have never personally had the hamburgers but have had veggie burger (ok) and chicken sandwich and salad, and daughter said burger was good. They have a very large selection which can get a little confusing but you’re sure to find something you like. I do think the prices are a little up there — $ 7 for burger/​sandwich does not include anything else. Your meal is basically $ 13 – 15 when it’s said and done with a side, tax etc. They have yummy fried jalapeño slices which are really good. The salad I got two different times, and is different in size depending on who is making it (1^st time was packed, 2^nd time not so big) — overall a good place to grab some grub. Clean.
