Goen’s Tow-En

Zero stars!!! They are a bunch of thieves and liars. They will screw you over if they get the chance. The two that claim to own the company do not own it. They steal from their boss cause he lives out of state. They don’t deserve the business that they get. The only thing that keeps them going is the AAA act that won’t last either.

Absolutely stellar service.
I have a 2006 BMW sedan, with only one key and all of the anti-​theft devices you expect from a German luxury car — electronic locks, non-​slim-​jimmable doors, lockdown mode, anti-​coat-​hanger levers, the works. I had managed to go nearly three years without losing the key or locking myself out (at $ 200 a pop, spares are not cheap), but it finally happened — I put my purse in the trunk and closed it, completely forgetting that my keyring was still attached.
On the advice of my mechanic, I called Goen’s, and Eugene came all the way out to Bisbee to see if he could get me in. He spent a good half-​hour trying all the tricks he knew, none of which worked. Unfortunately, since my purse was still in the trunk, I had to call my husband to pay him — and, as it was two days before payday, we had little money accessible by ATM and he had to go across town to the bank to pull from our savings account. Gene waited patiently while we figured all of this out, as well as while I got more and more frustrated talking to locksmith shops as well as BMW, none of which were much help.
After we had been dealing with all of this for a couple of hours, and just as I was about to give up hope (and prepare for a very expensive towing to the dealership in Tucson), I came up with a last-​ditch idea that required minor/​easily reversible modifications to Gene’s equipment (hurrah for having duct tape in my guitar case). He was willing to try it, and amazingly enough, it worked — saving us a tow that would’ve cost four times the cost of the lockout service. I gave him a big tip and a big hug as well.
