History

Established in 2003.

Dr. Muir and his wife enjoyed living in Howell and decided to open an optometry office to serve the community. They enjoy working with children, and have developed a reputation as the place to go for pediatric and children’s eye care. They are comfortable working with babies, toddlers, and even those children with special needs. Dr. Muir also enjoys the challenge of fitting patients with contact lenses who have previously been unsuccessful with contact lens wear. Our office also specializes in dry eye therapy, including the latest in ocular medications and punctal occlusion technology.

Business Owner

Dr. Muir graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 1998 with High Distinction. He grew up in Essexville, where his family still resides. He completed his internships at the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center, the Duane Waters Hospital at the State Prison of Michigan, and at Eaton Rapids Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association, the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Howell Lions Club. He and his wife have a three year old son, who they enjoy spending time with. He also enjoys cycling, running, swimming, and genealogy in his spare time.
