Meet the Business Owner

Dorothy V.

Business Owner

My name is Dorothy Virgadamo, and am the proud owner of Sandy Claws Pet Sitting Service, LLC here in Howell, New Jersey. We are a small, local community-based pet sitting service that plans to eventually serve all of Monmouth County for dog and cat sitting services. I was born in Brooklyn, New York, where I was raised, went to school, lived and worked for many years. My maiden name was Dorothy Morris. Upon meeting Michael Virgadamo in February, 2000 we eventually married and bought a home together in Staten Island, NY. We lived in the borough of Staten Island for seven years, upon retiring from our civil service positions which we had worked in for many years. I worked for the VA Medical Center for 17 years, and Michael worked for the NYC Housing Authority for a total of 21 years. We purchased a small, retirement home in Howell, New Jersey in 2010, and decided to start a small pet sitting service so that we could keep busy in our early retirement.
